Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

Frankenstein is as part of the pop culture zeitgeist as much as Dracula and all the sparkly goodness that descended from Stoker's creation. Mary Shelley is often cited as the mother of horror and science fiction and it's no doubt why from her wonderful first novel.



I'm a huge fan of the Universal movies from the 30s and still watch them to this day...

The Little Prince is a beloved classic French children's story that many continue to love well into their adulthood. Even today I hear friends and peers of mine talking about wonderful memories they had of the little prince that came from outer space. I still have fond memories of the animated movie that I grew up loving.

Classic Inspiration

Lately I've been MIA offline taking care of somethings. Sometimes when I write, I usually take 'extended leaves from offline' to get the clutter out of my head. (Apologies to all who had comments in moderation. I put the modding up due to some of my posts being spammed. Argh).



While away, I started getting back to the things that I really enjoyed as a kid. One of them is checking old horror movies and books. In addition to my SFR books I'm currently reading, I started reading Frankenstein af...

Getting back to business!

Apologies for my lack of posting! My internet has been down for the past few days and I've been doing some massive catchup time before the end of the month. I have one short story deadline and also an author appearance in Second Life which I'm very excited about. Also some finishing touches on my website for some new pages that will premiere at the beginning of the month and a few reading related goodies once I get organized.

Dark Succession by Teresa D'Amario ~ A Paranormal Romance Favorite for 2010

Boy, is it good to have Teresa D'Amario back! I lost count of the many times I read SheWolf since the first time and I've been waiting for Nora's story as well as Ryland's. I was very interested in seeing how a villain could be turned into a hero for the next book as its one of things on my wishlists for romance themes.



D'Amario doesn't disappoint! Dark Succession is a sexy paranormal romance but it's also a gut wrenching fantasy and suspense all rolled into one. After being captured...

My SFR Cup Runneth Low? ~ 2010 Reading Challenge Checkup

For 2010 reading that is. Eek.







Lately I've been feeling more action/futuristic lately so I'm going to try to shift a little away from contemporaries and paranormals and head straight into the future.  The SFR challenge will definitely help get me going on that. I'm still reading (and loving!) Dark Succession and I'm trying not to read too fast so the story will be over too soon (don't you hate it when that happens while reading a good book).
