Oshkosh—Revisited!

Folks, this year’s EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Odyssey fell through for Team Aux.So, how about we revisit the glory days of yesteryear? Some best of the best from #OSH15 and #OSH14!

By far, the highlight of my 2015 trip was meeting pilot icon, Qantas A380 Captain Richard de Crespigny (on Left in pic below), and author of QF32, whom I interviewed in our 3-part, “Black Swan Event” about his engine explosion.

The Happiest Place on (& over) Earth!

Folks, it’s been a busy month for me, as I’ve beenflying my buns off lately. I’m trying to makeup for taking a few days off at the end of last month, as well asa few days off at the end of this month for a family camping trip.

So, what did I do last month, you ask? Well, let’s call it, “Cap’n Aux and Dillon’s Excellent Disneyland Adventure!” Yes, everyone’s favorite Captain, Cap’n Dillon, and I spent a fabulous couple of days in The Happiest Place on Earth—Disneyland!

On April 15, 1926, a young pilot named Charles A. Lindbergh flew a bag of mail in his DH-4 biplane from Chicago to St. Louis. Lindbergh’s company, Robertson Aircraft Corporation, eventually consolidated with several others to form what is known today as American Airlines, the largest airline in the world.

Too HOT!

This last Sunday, on Father’s Day,my hometown ofPhoenix, Arizona experienced a

blistering temperature of118F (48C), which tied the day’s record. It was alsothe 5th highest temperature in recorded history for the city.
