I was just reading an article that discussed how many West and East Coast people are moving to more affordable areas in the rest of the country, that being a benefit of remote work and Zoom. Cities are often overpopulated because that’s where people go to find jobs. By spreading out the populace, this is releasing some of the overpopulation pressure. While I’m not a fan of online schooling, I am strongly in favor of hybrid work schedules, for a lot of reasons. Reduced congestion and accidents on the highways. Reduced carbon emissions. Reduced fuel consumption. Less time wasted trying to find parking. Less time wasted commuting. Less $$ spent on dry cleaning. better work and life balance with the time you get back.

As an example, let’s talk about fitness watches. I recently searched “best fitness tracker,” which yielded a gazillion results, of course. But …

Playing
We were eating at a restaurant in Greece, high above the water, when our waiter greeted us. My son was maybe eight years old. He had two small toys in his hands. The waiter asked him, “What is that you’re doing?” My son replied, “Playing with toys.” The waiter chuckled and told him, “When I …

New Word
Words and language have played a significant role in my life. Changes in English, specifically, are inevitable despite the best efforts of strict grammarians. Sometimes it’s the result of invention. Sometimes convention. Even silliness can drive new words and phrases. If you compare Old English to Present-Day English the differences are drastic and obvious. So …

I am an email warrior. It’s not something I planned or wanted to be. But it’s not all that bad. Could be worse. Better than MOPP 4 when it’s 100℉
