Coming Soon: Half Serenity: You Are the Temple
Half Serenity is a collaboration between Half Held and Serenity Dagger and will be available on Bandcamp and on streaming this November 3rd.
I’m excited about getting this one out. It was a months-long collaboration that had several false starts before we caught momentum. Even though it was worked on over months, it felt oddly like everything was suddenly finished. We’ve gotten some very nice feedback from a few early listeners.
Anthony Yates mixed. Jack Felice did the art. Tristan Whitehill mastered the album.

New Show: Terry Riley’s In C with Iron Giant Percussion
I’m thrilled to be a part of the ensemble performing In C on October 24 in Hoover, Alabama. In C is considered one of the major pieces of American minimalism, though most composers reject the generic term. The piece has 53 cells/phrases and an 8th note pulse. There are loose guidelines and every ensemble tends to make the piece their own by framing it in different ways or adding their own rules based on players and instrumentation. Players follow the cells and choose when to perform and when to stop, at times adjusting dynamics together.
A big thank you to Iron Giant for the invite!

Excited to finally have this one out in the world.
Form MakeWorldGooder Recordings Management:
“Supposedly, some old music was found in the bottom of the sea and an “unknown enthusiast” un-transcribed and de-imagined what could be salvaged from the blurry sun bleached scraps. Supposedly.”
