Thanksgiving 2009

I love this time of the year. In most normal places the leaves have changed and the brisk air has made its way in and the holidays are knocking at our doors. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday, because it is difficult to commercialize it...so far at least.

Last week I was being interviewed for a feature story and they kept asking about my life and the things I had worked on and I was again reminded of how thankful I should be. Most of you know that I am a person with goals. Once I finish...

Life as a Maze

As an actor you are able to see the future. You get a script and you know what will be said and what will happen in the scenes you are in. As a writer you can create the future. You write what you want to happen and it does. Life however is not so straight forward and you rarely have the control to dictate every outcome. There are twists and turns that are not always seen until they are staring you right in the face. Sometimes you don't see them until after you have passed them by...

Surviving the Desert

Other than the HOT weather life is going well. It should NEVER be over 100 degrees when it is fall. I don?t care what anyone says. When autumn comes it should be cool and the leaves should change color.

Here are some updates:

Erica & I

Life has been busy the past month. Erica and I are doing great. She just celebrated her birthday this past week and is excited that she got a new look and a massage. Her bright smile is as illuminating as ever. She is an amazing nanny! Big named celebrities...

New Reviews for Crazy Circus World

"Crazy Circus World is so amazing! My boys love it for it's 'craziness', but I love it for the story itself. It's so amazing how a "little" book can teach so much!"

-Candice, Goodreads.com

"This book brought me back to the fun of life. Thanks for a wonderful reminder that life gets dull/tough sometimes, but in our attitude, we can make a difference. Let's have fun --- let's bring the color back and enjoy what is around us."

-Susan, Goodreads.com

"Crazy Circus World" will be a book that gets read o

Time with Erica

I enjoy writing and acting and working with people, but there's nothing I enjoy more than spending time with Erica. We typically work out in the morning and lately we have found a new way to make our workout more interesting. We have been walking and running to Universal Studios early in the morning before she goes off to work. We go up all of the hills and are generally one of the first to get in the park. We go down to the lower lot and even ride a few rides before we start back up all the hil

Denver, Colorado 2009

I am in an airport trying to get back to California. For the past several days I have been at a conference in Denver, Colorado. This has been a fun trip. I have had to opportunity to meet great new people and discuss one of my main passions…writing. Many conversations took place about future potential projects, so we shall see how everything goes.  I am currently excited to be working with Tyndale on a project. Thus far the people at Tyndale have been friendly, professional, and excited about wh

Pay It Forward

On this trip I have had many experiences with different personalities. Some are very nice and others not so much. Every time I was on the receiving end of a nice gesture I found myself wanting to be kind to someone else. Perhaps it was an affirmative compliment or a little extra energy to help me out even though they really didn?t have to do so. Many folks were nice to the famous people, but not so to the lowly folks. Others were kind to everyone no matter what their title was. I wonder what the

July 4th 2009

Happy 4th of July from LA! Have fun celebrating our freedom this weekend. Have fun, but be safe. I have just returned from Michigan for my mom?s surgery. She is doing great and recovering well. She is in good spirits too. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Here is a fun video from that trip (she approved this video):  TRIPI did not sleep much on the trip, because of the time change, the time at the hospital, and trying to connect with friends and family since I do not see them that often.
