Friday Flash Fiction – Bastard

How apropos for a Friday Flash, caught with my pants down again. So, I'm posting a ficlet we m/m authors had the joy of throwing together over Labor Day Weekend at Literary Nymphs Chat group. Members offered the prompts, Authors gave them one hell of a selection of under 2000-word short stories. As you're reading, you'll notice the prompts are left in blue. That's so you can appreciate what exactly we Authors had to work with here. What a trip, but great fun.

Boys and Their Guns

Writing has been an interesting endeavor. Surprisingly, one of the things I've noticed is that it's more of a family affair of late. Sugar Daddy's constantly throwing his two cents into my stories, with his "How 'bout this one?" And the boys are forever questioning, "What's this one gonna be about?" and "Can we read it this time?"

Of course, the answer to the latter is always an explicit, NO. But they still hound for details, and I usually end up giving them a brief verbal synopsis.

"No. Carmen. Shh…No."

Mitch's slur told me, the two a them had paid a visit to the bunkhouse, to Bennie, in particular. Mitch knew as well as...

Friday Flash Fiction – excerpt COIN OPERATED BOY

From my sci-fi (nearly finished ;-) ) work in progress, Coin Operated Boy (c) 2009 Bryl R. Tyne

Chal kept taught on the chain, until his john's eyes held but a blank stare. Remorse unknown to him, he shoved the life-less body onto the floor, sprang to his feet, and scurried to Rye's side. "Silk?" He lifted Rye, still warm and chest moving, onto his lap and scanned for vitals. He's alive… Chal offered the dead john one last respect in a glance over his shoulder to ensure the..the fucking bastard, t
