Autistic/Asperger's characters

Inspector Lewis Sunday night (on PBS), featured a character, an Oxford student, who had Asperger's. The character reminded me very much of Ian Mackenzie! He never looked straight into anyone's eyes, he knew what time he arrived anywhere to the exact minute and how long he stayed, was an artist who could draw anyone rapidly after a quick glance, he knew the social things he was "supposed" to do, but didn't really understand or much care why, and he was the master of the nonsequiter. The actor who

What YA historicals do you like?

Over on my group blog: The Chatelaines: http://www.thechatelaines.blogspot.com, I'm looking for recommendations of good YA historicals. Know any? Any genre--romance, mystery, mainstream, whatever. I'm just looking for more to read! Pop over and talk about which ones you like.

Added Books

All right, I made an extreme effort before breakfast (BB) and added all the books I've written under every name I could remember to my GoodReads bookshelf. I don't rate my own books LOL (OMG, five stars! Best book EVER!), but I thought it might be helpful if readers are looking for what I've done under other pseudonyms.

Working week

After a weekend mix of fun with friends and bad family news all around, I'm back to work.

One thing I like about being an author is my relief when it's Monday again and I disappear back into writing. Not that my weekends are so terrible, LOL. But I no longer view the working week with dread.

I think stepping away from a project is always good. Last week I spent working on revisions to Pride Mates, and this morning I opened up Mac and Isabella to see how they were doing. Looking at the book fresh s

Jennifer Ashley books to ebooks on BandN.com

It looks like my Dorchester backlist is slowly being added as ebooks on B&N.com. I see Immortals: The Redeeming and Highlander Ever After from 2008 as well as Immortals: The Reckoning from this year. I am totally uninvolved in this process, so I don't know when the rest will be, but I'm happy that they've made a start.

All of my Berkley titles as Allyson James are up there, as well as my Jennifer Ashley historical novel: The Queen's Handmaiden.

I haven't tried these ebooks yet, but apparently you

Updates to Forthcoming List

I've updated my Coming Soon page to reflect *all* books and novellas in the next--let's see--two and a half years. Excerpts pop up there as the books get closer. More could be added as I pitch more books/novellas.

I don't think I have my forthcoming EC book up there (Calder): You can see the blurb on my Allyson James site:
