A Canadian children’s environmental advocate has just released an extended edition of The Wish Trees and is donating 100% of book profits to The ChariTree Foundation and other children's environmental education charities and programs. The book was inspired by her A Tree for Every Child Campaign.Kids will discover the wonder of trees and enjoy searching for different animals and tree names with each new page. Thoughtful, empowering and beautifully written by journalist and children's environmental education advocate Andrea Koehle Jones, The Wish Trees features illustrations by New York Times best-selling illustrator Alicia Padrón.
She says the second edition released on Sept 15, 2021 of The Wish Trees includes a bonus: “How to Plant a Wish Tree.”

The idea, inspired by The Wish Trees: How Planting Trees Can Help Make the World a Better Place , encourages kids to plant a local tree seedling and then make a wish for the world. Then, each time they return to visit and/or care for their tree they can make more wishes! Trees do so many tremendous things, and planting a tree provides an excellent opportunity to share their importance with your children. Whether or not you dress up the tree with handprinted wishes or speak to them with your mind, doing something hopeful like planting a tree, is a great way to encourage little ones to take pride in their contribution and take part in the world around them.
