Interview with Paul Loh, author of the zombie book "The Greater Number"

Hey all it's been awhile since I've done a featured zombie book of the day. I had added an interview to this feature so that readers can get a little more insight into the book and the author. I hope you enjoy.

TDWS- Tell us a little about yourself and what inspires you to write?

Paul Loj- I am an ex-Navy submariner. I am in the band Chief Loh and you can hear our music at reverbnation.com/chiefloh. I maintain a blog at necrolepsy.blogspot.com. I am inspired by all the things that fascinate me like zombies, ghosts, UFOs, aliens, music, bigfoot, mythology, psychic abilities, spirituality and philosophy. You can see elements of all of these things in both of my books (including my first book, 'The Nocent part 2: Advent of the Scathing).

TDWS- What is the book I am featuring today about?

Paul Loh- In this book, zombies are running rampant all over the world. They've been reduced to their basest instincts and can tell the living from the dead by the smell of fear. They behave like animals with a pack mentality. A man who thinks he has been chosen by fate to lead them has no fear. He believes he is the Hand of Karma, sent to rid the world of humanity's evil. Three college boys must team up with an unlikely bunch of allies in order to defeat the necrambulistic hordes.

TDWS- There are literally thousands of zombie books out there. What makes yours different?

Paul Loh My book explores many issues of morality, spirituality, cowardice, heroism and human nature. That's what I love about zombie books and movies. They have such a powerful story-telling potential. I love to contemplate what happens to the spirits of the people once their bodies have reanimated. It is said that when somebody dies in a traumatic event, his spirit is restless and might lose its way to the light. What if its body is still up and about in its absence? Such questions are explored by such writers as Arthur M. Wyatt, Brian Keene and David Wellington. In the sequel to 'The Greater Number', I will explore such issues as telekinesis and possession. I am also working on the sequel to 'The Nocent'.

TDWS-Where is your book available?

Paul Loh-My books, 'The Greater Number' and 'The Nocent part 2: Advent of the Scathing' are available at amazon.com for the Kindle and at lulu.com on paperback.

Writer blames hateful fans for Zombieland series failure.

In a series of tweets Zombieland writer Rhett Reese blamed Zombieland movie fans for the failure of the series on Amazon. Never mind the fact that the show kinda sucked. (IMO). The writing and acting wasn't that good and too many of the jokes were juvenile. Check out Mr. Reese's tweets below:

Our Zombieland series will not be moving forward on Amazon.Sad for everyone involved.

— Rhett Reese (@RhettReese) May 17, 2013

I'll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence.

— Rhett Reese (@RhettReese) May 17, 2013

Anyway, we did our best, and we're very proud of our team.

5 Star Review For The Dead War Trilogy On Amazon

5.0 out of 5 stars I love it, May 8, 2013

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This review is from: The Dead War Trilogy (The Dead War Series) (Kindle Edition)
I really liked this book series. It was filled with plenty of action and zombies, the introduction of vampires was a hell of a twist. The characters were believable and I could see the event's within the book actually happening. The development of a special special forces group was cool. Let alone the survival of the world depended on a little girl and her genetics. I will recommend this book to everyone...
