BookBlitzer Update

I made some minor updates to BookBlitzer.com over the weekend; most were due to some excellent feedback I received from a user who has a very strong web/IT background.

Here are some highlights of the update:

Added a Reviewer Comments field to the Review form, so reviewers can add personal notes to the author. Intended uses are for grammar/spelling issues, explanation of a review score, encouragement, etc.Bypassing the Billing Entry form upon Check Out. Previously, the user would have to enter...

The website for the book has already been finished and is available at CastorsOfGiza.comThe tentative release date for this book is early 2012.

Book Summary

In the golden age of Egypt, the glory of the Pharaoh is rising to...

Excerpt from "The Son of Shinar"

Below is a short excerpt from "The Son of Shinar", the second book in "The Time of Jacob's Trouble Trilogy":

The Guardians bowed low before the blazing throne, their very faces pressing deep into the glistening black granite tiles. Six Guardsmen stood in front of them, directly between them and the throne.

Twin pillars of fire roared on either side of their master, but his heat was what singed their heads and backs, not the fountains of flame. Even from high on his throne, waves of his furious...

Exporting Books in iWriterPro

This post is intended to clarify a feature in iWriterPro, a book-writing software package I developed a few years ago.

Like yWriter and other writing-packages, iWriterPro stores books in manageable chunks called 'scenes' or 'sections', which are typically subdivisions of chapters.

When you're ready to export your book from iWriterPro to Word or another text editor for final polishing/formatting, just select "Display Book" from the droplist and the software will "assemble" your entire book and s...

Excerpt from "The Last Aliyah"

Below is a short excerpt from "The Last Aliyah" — these "lights" play an important role in the ending of the book and the next one, "The Son of Shinar" (spoiler!!):

"Papa! Papa! The lights are here again!" Dalia cried, running into the main room of their living quarters.

Oren Shiloh opened his eyes and sat up. He had fallen asleep watching one of the late night shows on television. The last two weeks had been particularly busy on the kibbutz, and he was exhausted. If one of the tipesh-esre...

Author Interview at FeatureMe2

I recently sent in an interview questionnaire to FeatureMe2 that does a ton of author-interviews and book-reviews. Below is an excerpt from it:

1. Tell us about (your current book title) in a few sentences.

My current book is part of a trilogy called "The Time of Jacob's Trouble" – it's a saga about an Israeli family as it goes through the End Times as described in the Bible. It was the first novel I wrote in 2008, but I decided to rewrite it after touring Israel in 2010. The trilogy heavily...
