I experienced the joy of infinite possibility today, while working with a playwright. For the last twenty years I’ve wanted to be a screenwriter, but it’s not yet come to fruition. Today I suddenly saw that what gives me even greater joy is to be an editor of other people’s screenplays. Amazing! As Joseph Campbell so wisely says: “you must let go of the life you’ve planned so as to live the life waiting for you.” Yes!

Courage, I believe, is the most important trait when it comes to living a full, glorious life. Without it, you can have oodles of talent & tenacity but it won’t matter. It takes courage to connect with people, to tell them your dreams & show them your skills. It takes courage to keep going, to suffer the inevitable setbacks & rejections & not give up. Talent, self-belief & tenacity matter not a jot without it. Courage underpins everything. Cultivate it as much as you can!
