Great article about the history of Itaewon

I cover some of this in Into This World, but this article is more comprehensive:

June reading

I'm reading a lot of books by guys--right now finishing Egger's What is the What and Sebald's Austerlitz. After that it's back to Shlovsky & Russian formalism and Little, Big for my book club. In August, however, my planned reading list (Carol Maso's Ava, Bluetes, Middlemarch, Elena Ferrante, and more Lispecter) will focus on women writers.

June:
My Struggle Part II by Karl Ove Kausgaard
The Love Song of Jonny Valentine by Teddy Wayne
Kapitoil by Teddy Wayne
God Forsaken Idaho by Shawn Vestal
