Community organizations, schools, and nonprofits were invited to decorate the barrels as part of a stormwater management initiativ...

Book to Boogie: “The Little Yellow Leaf”
Book to Boogie is a monthly series that pairs picture books with dance and movement activities for preschool story time. The series is curated by Kerry Aradhya of Picture Books & Pirouettes and written by a different guest writer each month. We hope that children’s librarians, as well as classroom teachers and dance educators, will find these activities useful and fun!

Why aren’t adults allowed to be creative?
Adult programs tend to have a lot more to do with learning than they do with making. How do we balance the scales of creative programming to give our older patrons more opportunities to create?

Pop des Fleurs Winter Pop-up Garden: Still Poppin’
Install of a Pop des Fleurs garden at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Lawrenceville.
bySuzy Waldo
In my last post I wrote about how the beautiful Pop des Fleurs project came to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh- South Side and then became a system-wide project. If I had a nickel for every time I thought to myself, “What were you thinking?!?” I could buy a new cardigan.
