Today let's look at girls...(and you can tell me what animal you'd be)

For #Gaypril :) I figured I'd point you in the direction of my story Play Date . A F/F tale from a while back still live at The Erotic Woman. A lovely FREE site that has housed some of my stories and many, many others. Go browse!
Also in #Gaypril we'll (Xcite and self ;) ) be giving away 5 exclusive signed e-copies of my latest release – Beast in Me. To grab one, all you need to do is tweet me @Sommer_Marsden using #Gaypril and tell me what your shape shifting creature would be. On the 14th I'll choose my 5 favorites.
Hope to hear from you!
XOXO

Come Celebrate!

Come celebrate Gaypril with me and Xcite ! For my M/M readers, there's some fun stuff going on over at the Xcite site for April. There are signed kindle copies being given away ( Lion Hearted ), questions being answered, and all kinds of fun. Hop over to see what's up. Heh...that sounded dirty, didn't it? Check out Matt's blog for the full scope of #Gaypril love from freebies to tweeting me about what shapeshifter you'd be for a chance to win signed copies. Me...? I'd be a panther. Or a tiger. A tanther?
You can ask me questions on Twitter (I'm @sommer_marsden) with the hashtag #Gaypril and I'll answer mid month. So if you have any questions (not necessarily m/m related, mind you) you want to ask, now's your chance. Don't have any questions? Put your thinking cap on and come up with one!
Didn't know I wrote M/M works? Here's a link to some of them. And my newest m/m paranormal Beast in Me.
Hope to see you on Twitter!

I'm like the Easter Bunny...only, I'm taller...and blond...and I shave.
But I do have a basket full of goodies! Read to the end, there's a bunch. First things first:
Beast in Me, book 2 in the Divination Falls trilogy is FREE right now on Amazon. FREE. So hop over and get one! (People have asked, so I'm answering, though the books are tied together, they can be read as standalones. So if you did not read book 1, you will still enjoy book 2 and not feel lost). Tell your sister, your secretary, your mother, your grandma! Tell the girl at the donut shop and the woman who delivers your mail. Tell the lady at the grocery store and your waitress at lunch...Free!
Secondly, I am on Youtube! No lie. The super talented Rose Caraway's reading of Laugh from Rachel Kramer Bussel's book Gotta Have It is up for your pleasure. So go check out my dirty Femdom story Laugh on the tube of You. Awesome.
Thirdly, whack*whack*whack*whack! My book Restless Spirit received a 4 paddles rating from BDSM Book Reviews and this very nice pull quote:
"Sommer Marsden is known as one of the top erotica authors. After reading this story, I can see why that is."
Thank you, Ma'am, may I have another.
And finally,
Long Lost, the sequel to Big Bad (my paranormal, vamp/were/human, twosome/threesome bangalicious novel) received 4 kisses (lips? mouths? smooches?) from Two Lips Reviews. They recently reviewed Big Bad and I was thrilled that the reviewer loved Long Lost as well.
I think that covers it all! Have a spectacular Easter and kick off to Spring Break. We'll be smoking some meat, making some gluten free faux butterscotch krimpets, hanging out and taking it easy.
XOXO

Sarah doesn't have much in common with the other girls in town. She's never even kissed a boy… until the evening Anderson walks her home. Over time, Anderson presses her for more than just kisses, and on the one-year anniversary of their first kiss Sarah might just give in to his whims. But the woods are dark at night, and there are creatures about, howling in the distance.
When Anderson is accosted by a wolf under the light of a full moon, will Sarah save her beau? Or will she be caught in the crossfire? And if she survives the attack, will life ever be the same?

A Werewolf Menage Historical

Excerpt:
I remember the smell of autumn leaves, of dank and meat and fire.
I remember the smell of wet dog, and sneezing so hard my head rang like a church bell. The pain shot through me, all the way down to my toes. The damp had found its way into my bones. There was a soup of sorts, fed to me by unknown hands. I could see nothing.
The world went black.
Snow was the next smell, so fresh it drove out the dog scent almost completely.
When I awoke, there was a man standing over me. Behind him, two things: light so bright I wanted to clamp my eyes shut against it, and darkness so black it disappeared into oblivion. As I fixed my gaze on the dark shape in front of me, I realized the blackness was in fact the interior of a cave, and the whiteness was snow at its mouth.
It was wintertime. I knew little else, but I did know that.
My thoughts were a jumble of half-remembrances. Some might have been life, some dreams. I had a feeling I’d dreamed more than lived lately, especially when I realized I had on only a soiled slip under a great heap of blankets. Wherever I was, I’d been there for some time.
“Sarah?” a man asked. “You’re awake, are you?”
I wasn’t afraid of him, because I knew him. His voice was familiar to me.
“Would you like a drink of water?” he asked. He took a step forward and I saw his shirtsleeves rolled up to the elbow, dark wool trousers and suspenders. “I have meat broth warming on the fire.”
“What happened to me?” I squirmed under the pile of blankets, feeling soaked with sweat and goodness knows what else. “Why am I here?”
I felt like I knew the answers to those questions, but I needed some clarification. The man kneeled down beside me, and I felt a smile beam across my face as I realized who he was.

20 Questions with Victoria Blisse: "My mum told me if you've got nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut..."
Happy hump day, all! Today is 20 Questions with Victoria Blisse! She's a busy little butterfly of a writer. She always has something going on in the writing world. I happen to know she also has a secret weapon called Mitnik. A wonder team, indeed.
Don't forget to pop back in later when I'll be posting something else fun. It's a busy here on the blog today. I need a traffic guard...

1. Favorite YA book?
I have always loved Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain. They're probably technically children's books but I read them all through my teen years and loved'em to bits.
2. It’s a meatless meal night. You eat…
Falafel. I luuurvvvvve Falafel!
3. Football or baseball?
Football but I mean the British stuff with kicking and shooting and Gooooooooooal!
4. Look at your bookshelf. Top shelf, left to right, what are the first five books you see? No cheating!
American gods by Neil Gaiman, Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett, Bedknobs and Broomsticks by Mary Naughton, Witches Brew by Terry Brooks and All about my Naughty Little Sister by Dorothy Edwards.
5. Average night. Eat in, eat out, or takeout?
Eat in, I love to cook.
6. Favorite meal to cook?
Oooh, I don't know. I love the challenge of doing something new but I do find making a lasagne very therapeutic.
7. Favorite TV show when you were a kid?
Sesame Street! It is still one of my very favourites!
8. Favorite TV show now?
Right this minute? Being Human.
9. Best teacher you ever had…
Oh, wow. I've had some crackers. I think I will plump for Mrs Linder.
10. What did they teach you?
She not only taught me all the school stuff also enriched me spiritually, morally and personally. She was fab, covered our class for just six months I think when I was in yr5 in junior school, so I was 10 years old ish.
11. Tell us something you did as a kid that no one/very few people know about.
Well when I was about 6/7 I ran away from school. It was a silly misunderstanding. The teacher said. "So who has a peg to hold their wellies together?" I shot up my hand but I was the only person who did. My teacher told me to go and get them but although I wasn't lying, we'd got a peg with my name burned into it over the weekend, I hadn't brought it into school. However, I didn't know how to explain that without getting into trouble so I decided I'd go home, get the peg, and bring it back to school.
A lovely old lady found me and took me back to school. I got a good few minutes down the road too! I didn't get into trouble, thank goodness!
12. Tell us something you did this year that no one/very few people know about.
Hmmmmm, good question. I bought a jar of fig jam today for the first time ever. It's very tasty. I'm afraid I am such a gobby person, I tell everyone anything half way to interesting!
13. What one clothing item can you not live without?
My grey and yellow striped jumper. I've had it since I was about 17 (so that's 17 years now) and it's just warm, snuggly and comforting. I love it.
14. Zombies, vampires or werewolves?
I love my vampires, hence my Point Vamp series.
http://victoriablisse.co.uk/series/po...
15. Anything you haven’t written about that you desperately want to?
I'd love to write a historical erotic romance but it scares me half to death because it would need a lot of research!
16. Anything you’ve written about that you desperately wish you hadn’t?
Hmm, I wrote a few icky things in a few personalised stories people paid me to write, fetish acts that do nowt for me at all. I'd have been happier not writing them. *LOL*
17. Do you finish a book that is terrible or put it down?
I can't, just can't force myself to finish a book that doesn't grab me. I will tend to give it a few chapters but if the characters/plot don't pick up and get interesting I stop reading.
18. Do you review terrible books or pass on saying anything at all?
My mum told me if you've got nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut, so I don't write negative reviews. I will give constructive criticism but that is different I think.
19. Do you read reviews of your work?
I do. I don't tend to seek them out but I will read them if I notice they exist!
20. Red wine or white wine?
Honestly? Neither by choice but I do prefer white wine when I do drink it, if ever.

Watching, polaroids, picket fences...

Confession is good for the soul. A very naughty, explicit excerpt from book 2 of the Divination Falls trilogy (m/m paranormal erotica) is even better!
More good stuff coming soon. :)
