Featured Guest & Giveaway: Elisabeth Naughton!!
Most of you know that I usually feature authors who write historical romance. Today I thought I'd mix it up a bit. If you haven't yet read her, I'd like to introduce you to Elisabeth Naughton, who writes sexy, globe-trotting romantic suspense and dark, seductive paranormal romance. She already has one romantic suspense series in the stores – the Stolen Trilogy – which revolves around an antiquities gallery in Miami. These books will definitely appeal to fans of Romancing The Stone and

With Grateful Thanks On Memorial Day
May 30th is Memorial Day in the United States, the day we honor all those who fell in battle over the years to protect our rights and freedom. It's not a day of joyous celebration, but rather one of somber reflection on the many heart-wrenching sacrifices made by ordinary men and women during the course of our history. It's not about department store sales or sporting events or pounding back the brewskies. It's about this:
The exact origins of Memorial Day vary, but it's clear the holiday c...

Holding Out For A Hero at RomCon
I'm guest-blogging at RomCon today, and talking about the kinds of heroes who inspire us in romance. The hero of my latest book, My Favorite Countess, is a Regency physician – a bit of a departure from the usual arrogant aristocrat who often figures as the hero in Regency-set historical romances. You might be interested to know that I based my hero, Dr. John Blackmore, on the lovely .
Why don't you drop by RomCon to join our conversation? I'll be giving away a copy of my...

What Are You Reading This Week?
What books have made it to the top of your TBR pile this week? Right now I'm enjoying a wonderful medieval historical romance by Claire Delacroix called The Snow White Bride.
I'll be blogging about it – and Claire's other books – in a few weeks.
I'm also re-reading Saul David's book, The Prince of Pleasure: The Prince of Wales and the Making of the Regency, the fabulous bio of George IV. It's a wonderful (and jaw-dropping) history, and is one of the best books out there on the Regency...

Booklist: The New Stars of Historical Romance
"For a subgenre to truly thrive, though, it needs an infusion of new literary blood. Fortunately, the historical romance subgenre has seen the debut of a wealth of terrific new writers in the last few years." (John Charles and Shelley Mosley)
Much to my surprise and delight, Booklist included me as one of the "new stars" of historical romance, specifically highlighting my last book, SEX AND THE SINGLE EARL! Some of the other authors named by Booklist are Tessa Dare, Meredith Duran, Anthea Lawson, Sherry Thomas, and Courtney Milan. I'm honored to be mentioned in the same breath with so many talented historical romance writers.
