On This Day in Leadership History, April 26th

On this day in leadership history in 1986, the world’s worst nuclear disaster to date occurred at Chernobyl, in Kiev. Thirty-one people died in the incident and thousands more were exposed to radioactive material.

What’s the leadership lesson? For honorable leaders, what destructive or toxic habits or behaviors do we need to be looking out for in day-to-day work? Even small acts repeated over time can have a long-term negative on team and organizational morale.

And by identifying where and how even top performers derail during the change process, Kotter provides a practical resource for leaders and managers charged with making change initiatives work.
