Marvin Hamlisch, Really

I can't believe that Marvin Hamlisch has died. He was pretty young--68 doesn't seem so old anymore! He wrote so many songs we still hear. I still remember going to see A Chorus Line on Broadway. But it was GREAT, and it really spoke to me, as I am a former...

Feels like Teen Wolf

When I was watching tonight's amazing episode of TEEN WOLF, I realized that one of the things I love so much about this show is the same thing that compels me to watch the Olympics--passion. Kickass, full-bore commitment to the game. It's like those divers who fling themselves into the water, or those gymnasts who go for broke while I catch my breath and imagine a hundred different kinds of injuries.

When I watch pros like these, it reminds me to constantly up my game. Get some sleep, exercis...

And Disneyland is just about five blocks away!

I am at the Romance Writers of America annual conference, which is fun, educational, a bit nervewracking, and awesome, but my beloved Disneyland is a quick walk from here. I went over to the Jolly Holiday Bakery after my Barnes and Noble signing on Thursday night to get some peace and quiet (sort of) to study for my UCSD copyediting midterm (which I just uploaded. Fingers crossed, prayers to St. Jude made. Grateful for the Pass/Fail option.)

And I am DYING to go back to Disneyland just to bas...

Fate has been cruel to Ombrine and Desirée, t...
