Pergamon: A Hellenistic Capital in Anatolia
Pergamon: A Hellenistic Capital in Anatolia was an invaluable resource when researching The Healer’s Daughters. Many thanks to Felix Pirson and Andreas Scholl. I’ll be posting photos of the book to give an idea of the awe-inspiring setting that is this ancient city. Remember, the Goodreads giveaway for The Healer’s Daughters is running now until March 1st.

Looking to connect with local book clubs
Photo courtesy of Rhonda Holcomb, The Glencoe Anchor.
One of my favorite ways to respond to readers is by meeting with book clubs. I have three scheduled soon (one this Wednesday), and I’m eager to discover more. Do you know any book clubs looking to chat with a local author? Please let me know.

Manhattan Book Review gives five stars to The Healer’s Daughters
[image error]“At its heart, The Healer’s Daughters by Jay Amberg is a story of the healing, necessary power of female relationships and the strength women possess alone and in groups. I was not expecting to discover this theme when I began reading but was beyond satisfied with the direction the author took the story and the sense of hope at the conclusion.”
It’s so nice when a reviewer really gets it. Many thanks to Tamara Benson at Manhattan Book Review. Read the full review here.
