PRETENDING NOT TO KNOW

"The closest concept that human beings have to describe an IS-BE (Immortal Spiritual Being) is as a god: all-knowing, all-powerful, infinite. So, how does a god stop being a god? HIGHWAY TO HELL

Recently, a 52-year old trades person (a chimney builder) living in Bavaria, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack.  Ironically, only a few weeks before he died he told his friends that when he died he wanted them to play the song "Highway To Hell" at his funeral ceremony.  Bavaria, like many unfortunate areas of the planet, is heavily controlled by the Catholic Church.  So, the priest who presided over the funeral ceremony decided that the wishes of the deceased should be ignored.  So, the song the Bavarian man wanted his friends and family to hear, as a tribute to his Life and Spirit, was not played. Rather, "proper religious songs" were played according to the dictates of the church.

I am duty-b0und to post the song on my Blog in honor of this man.  Each person deserves a chance to to live their OWN life, to think their own thoughts and die their own death.  I also want to say -- on behalf of a disembodied spirit of the deceased -- "fuck you!" to all priests --- the self-appointed prison guards of the Spiritual Beings living in the Virtual Hell we call Earth.  As an Immortal Spiritual Being I am confident that this disembodied spirit will complete his personal journey on the "Highway to Hell", when he is reincarnated in a new baby body, and starts driving again on the "Highway to Hell" that we all Earth.  Let the celebration is His Life begin!  May he Rest In Peace.....

I don't care who you are.  I don't care what a bunch of superstitious sheep herders say.  Birth is bloody and painful!  If you are inhabiting a biological body on Earth, your mother sacrificed her body and her life to bear you and feed you with her tits (or a bottle) and work her ass off to support and clothe you until you were old enough to take care of yourself!  The TRUTH is that this "religious holiday" should be a celebration and admiration of MOTHERS!  In spite of ancient superstitions, and patriarchal propaganda, Jesus (if the guy ever really existed) inhabited a biological body that was produced by a women who fucked a man and got pregnant and gave birth to a stinking, screaming baby body, just like everyone else on this god-forsaken planet!

PANDORA: EVIL AND HOPE

Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology.  The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora which contained all the evils of the world.  Today the phrase "to open Pandora's box" means to perform an action that may seem small or innocent, but that turns out to have severely detrimental and far-reaching consequences.  In classical Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on Earth. Zeus ordered Hephaestus to create her. So he did, using water and earth. The gods endowed her with many gifts: Athena clothed her, Aphrodite gave her beauty, Apollo gave her musical ability, and Hermes gave her speech.

Pandora was given a wedding gift of a beautiful jar, with instructions to not open it under any circumstance. Impelled by her curiosity (given to her by the gods), Pandora opened it and all evil contained therein escaped and spread over the earth. She hastened to close the container, but the whole contents had escaped; except for one thing that lay at the bottom – the Spirit of Hope, named Elpis. Pandora, deeply saddened by what she had done, feared she would have to face Zeus' wrath, since she had failed her duty. However, Zeus did not punish Pandora because he knew this would happen. So, what kind of an asshole is Zeus to allow Evil into the world?

EVIL EXISTS IN THE WORLD.  "HOPE" DOES NOT PUT IT "BACK IN THE BOX".  THIS REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO SEE EVIL WHERE IT EXISTS.  THEN STRENGTH OF WILL, RUTHLESS DETERMINATION, AND FEARLESS COURAGE TO PUT IT "BACK IN THE BOX".

DON’T BUY STUPID PRESENTS

I publish this Blog as a "public service".  Anyone can subscribe free of charge.  I invest hundreds of hours searching for or creating unique content that I think might be enlightening, educational, or entertaining.  This is the "season of giving".  I "give" nearly every day during the entire year, trying to keep you ungrateful bastards entertained.  So, the least you can do is the give something back!  So, break out your credit card and buy some of my books! Is this too much to ask? Just think of all the money you're going to waste of stupid xmas presents for stuff that no one will remember after two weeks.  So, buy some books!  READ the books!  Give the books as presents!  At least one of my books might look good sitting on a book shelf next to the  stupid knick-knack your Aunt Sally gave you last year!  I mean, would it KILL you to spend twenty bucks for a couple of books?  Really?  Some of the books I've written or edited are really pretty good, I my opinion.  But, YOU will NEVER know until you BUY ONE!  So, get off your lazy ass, break out a credit card and BUY MY BOOKS!!!  Do I have to BEG?  Really?

If you buy my books, I'll get a small royalty check.  Then, I'll have some money to buy some stupid presents for my friends who won't remember what I gave them in 2 weeks, etc...

Quantum mechanics (QM; also known as quantum physics, or quantum theory) is a fundamental branch of physics which deals with physical phenomena at nanoscopic scales where the action is on the order of the Planck constant. Here is an interesting animated GIF with an overlay of a photograph against "selfy" paintings of Vincent van Gogh.  As far as I know, there is no known photograph of tthe artist.  This could be the only one.

Vincent Willem van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Post-Impressionist painter of Dutch origin whose work—notable for its rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold color—had a far-reaching influence on 20th-century art. After years of painful anxiety and frequent bouts of mental illness, he died aged 37 from a gunshot wound, generally accepted to be self-inflicted (although no gun was ever found).

He began to draw as a child, and he continued to draw throughout the years that led up to his decision to become an artist. He did not begin painting until his late twenties, completing many of his best-known works during the last two years of his life. In just over a decade, he produced more than 2,100 artworks, consisting of 860 oil paintings and more than 1,300 watercolors, drawings, sketches, and prints. His work included self portraits, landscapes, still lifes, portraits as well as paintings of cypresses, wheat fields and sunflowers.

He spent his early adulthood working for a firm of art dealers, traveling between The Hague, London, and Paris, after which he taught for a time in England at Isleworth and Ramsgate. One of his early aspirations was to become a pastor, and from 1879 he worked as a missionary in a mining region in Belgium, where he began to sketch people from the local community. In 1885, he painted his first major work, entitled The Potato Eaters. His palette at the time consisted mainly of somber earth tones and showed no sign of the vivid coloration that distinguished his later work. In March 1886, he moved to Paris and discovered the French Impressionists. Later, he moved to the south of France and was influenced by the strong sunlight he found there. His work grew brighter in color, and he developed the unique and highly recognizable style that became fully realized during his stay in Arles in 1888. The extent to which his mental health affected his painting has been a subject of speculation since his death. Despite a widespread tendency to romanticize his ill health, modern critics see an artist deeply frustrated by the inactivity and incoherence brought about by his bouts of illness. IMMEASURABLE HEAVENS

Superclusters – regions of space that are densely packed with galaxies – are the biggest structures in the Universe. But scientists have struggled to define exactly where one supercluster ends and another begins. Now, a team based in Hawaii has come up with a new technique that maps the Universe according to the flow of galaxies across space. Redrawing the boundaries of the cosmic map, they redefine our home supercluster and name it Laniakea, which means ‘immeasurable heaven’ in Hawaiian.

The Millennium Simulation featured in this clip was run in 2005 by the Virgo Consortium, an international group of astrophysicists from Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and the United States. A virtual cube of 2 billion light years on a side was "filled" with 10 billion "particles" whose evolution was computed using the physical laws expected to hold in the currently known cosmologies. The initial distribution of matter, that resembled the conditions present when the cosmic microwave background radiation was emitted was allowed to evolve, and the formation of galaxies and black holes in the simulation were recorded. After all the computing work was done (28 days, at a rate of 200 billion calculations per second) 20 million galaxies were formed in the initial space. These galaxies and the dark matter around them formed web-like structures that resemble the shapes observed by the most recent data available in cosmic surveys, such as the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.
