COMPUTER, END PROGRAMS

The personal toys we call “computers” are not real computers.  The “apps” we are allowed to use on our toy computers are social and mind control devices, designed for governmental surveillance and “dumbing down” members of “the masses”.  If the real potential power of computing technology were applied to creating prosperity and intelligence instead of war, subservience and scarcity, the human race could travel to the stars and beyond at speeds exceeding light, and create a literal paradise on Earth .  As it is, we’re going nowhere fast.

CHOOSE A HOLODECK PROGRAM

Someday the “Holodeck” from Star Trek may become a reality simulation “toy” on Earth. Microsoft and other tech companies are already working on creating virtual reality devices for use in the home. The idea of “virtual reality” has been a part of science fiction and film since the 1930s : “Pygmalion’s Spectacles” by Stanley G. Weinbaum describes a goggle-based virtual reality system with holographic recording of fictional experiences including smell and touch.

Theoretically, since our universe is fundamentally composed of “thought energy” it is conceivable that we are already living inside a holographic  universe, driven by computer technology developed by “aliens” over a period of billions of years.  On Earth, we have had electricity for only about 100 years, and computers for only a few decades.  What technology might be possible millions of years from now?  Socially and technologically the human race are virtual barbarians.  Yet, anything we can imagine can become a reality.

If you could choose any “virtual reality program” from a Holodeck menu, which would you choose?

HUMAN SYMBIOSIS

On a tiny, remote planet a Mythology has been conceived and taught that one relatively minor species of life form are “superior” to billions of others with whom they share the planet, and upon whom they depend for sustenance.  Factually, all life forms exist in a perpetual state of interactive interdependency called “symbiosis”.

Symbiosis comes from two Greek words that means “with” and “living.” It describes a close relationship between two organisms from different species. It is sometimes, but not always, beneficial to both parties.  Ironically, the life form that is NOT required for symbiotic survival on Earth, and without which the planet flourished for billions of years, is the species “homo sapiens”.

If insects or bacteria (two small examples) disappeared from Earth, most other species, including homo sapiens, would perish quickly.  However, if homo sapiens became extinct, nearly all other life forms would flourish, and return to a natural state of symbiotic abundance upon which the fragile, parasitic species of homo sapiens depends utterly.  With the exception of a few domesticated animals humans would not be missed on Earth.

It has been observed that the Microcosm (relatively small) is a reflection of the Macrocosm (relatively large) in the physical universe.  Human beings conceive themselves to be the “highest” form of life and most intelligent.  Yet, when viewed in the context of stars, galaxies and universes, homo sapiens are infinitesimally insignificant, except in their own minds.  This begs the question: “Are their beings in the universe for whom humans might provide symbiotic value?“   The final scene from the popular film Men In Black offers one example. Do humans exist symbiotically in an existential game played by beings who we make imperceptible by our Narcissistic Mythology?

I have been a huge fan of Austin City Limits, Stevie Ray Vaughn and John Meyer for many years. In this amazing video, John Mayer (screw-and-tell-starlet-heart-breaker) performs “Empty Arms” with the incomparable band of the late guitar wizard Stevie Ray Vaughn at Austin City Limits.  In my opinion, it really does not get any better than this for electric guitar fans!

TRANSPARENT TRANSPARENCY

Personally, I spent many years of my pre-retirement business career in the “branding” industry.  What I observed from this kind of work sickened my soul.  I finally quit, and resolved that being a “starving artist” is infinitely more gratifying than being a “corporate whore”, regardless of the paycheck.

My clients were corporations who wanted to influence people to pay money to buy their product or service.  Usually, any method, trick, gimmick, lie, and covert strategy that money can buy is acceptable in corporate “marketing”.  However, “transparency” or “truth” are NOT acceptable. The bigger and more powerful the corporations, governments, etc., , the less “truth in advertising”, is allowed.  It’s a kind of  unwritten law like “never let the other team know your game plan”, (or your true intentions).  Corporate marketing is an “us” against “them” of mind-control game.  A “brand” is an artificially contrived “false facade” of “acceptable lies”.  On Wall Street, and in corporations and governments it’s all, and only, about money and power.  No rules apply.
