MARILYN MURDER MEMOIR

Marilyn Monroe was found dead in the bedroom of her Brentwood home by her psychiatrist Ralph Greenson after he was called by Monroe’s housekeeper Eunice Murray on August 5, 1962. She was 36 years old at the time of her death. Her death was ruled to be “acute barbiturate poisoning” by Dr. Thomas Noguchi of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office and listed as “probable suicide”. Many detectives, including Jack Clemmons, the first Los Angeles Police Department officer to arrive at the death scene, believe that she was murdered. No murder charges were ever filed. The death of Monroe has since become one of the most debated conspiracy theories of all time.

Many questions remain unanswered regarding the circumstances and timeline of Monroe’s death after her body was found. Many elements of this timeline have often been brought into question. Most notable are the discrepancies in exactly what time Monroe either made or received her last phone call and at what time during the late night and early morning hours of August 4 and 5 her body was discovered.[5]

6–7:00 p.m. Seth Flanagan and Tony Gragert, local playboys, are seen having a casual meal with Monroe in downtown Hollywood.

7–7:15 p.m.: Joe DiMaggio Jr., son of baseball player Joe DiMaggio (and thus Monroe’s former stepson) phones her about his broken engagement to a girl in San Diego.[6] DiMaggio Jr. said when interviewed that Monroe sounded cheerful and upbeat. On duty with the Marines in California, DiMaggio was able to place the time of the call because he was watching the seventh inning of a Baltimore Orioles-Los Angeles Angels game being played in Baltimore. According to the game’s records the seventh inning took place between 10 and 10:15 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time; thus, Monroe received the call around 7 p.m. California time.

7:30–7:45 p.m.: Peter Lawford telephones Monroe to invite her to dinner at his house, an invitation she had declined earlier that day. According to Lawford, Monroe’s speech was slurred and was becoming increasingly indecipherable. After telling him goodbye the conversation abruptly ends. Lawford tries to call her back again but receives a busy signal. Telephone records show that this is the last phone call Monroe’s main line received that night.

8 p.m.: Lawford telephones Eunice Murray, spending the night in Monroe’s guest house, on a different line asking if the maid would check in on her. After a few seconds Murray returns to the phone telling Lawford that she is fine. Unconvinced, Lawford will try all night long to get in touch with Monroe. Lawford telephones his friend and lawyer Milton A. “Mickey” Rudin, but is advised to keep away from Monroe’s house to avoid any public embarrassment that could result from Monroe possibly being under the influence.

10 p.m.: Housekeeper Eunice Murray walks past Monroe’s bedroom door and later testifies that she saw a light on under the door but decided not to disturb Monroe.

10:30 p.m.: According to actress Natalie Trundy (later Mrs. Arthur P. Jacobs), Monroe’s agent Arthur P. Jacobs hurriedly leaves a concert at the Hollywood Bowl that he is attending with Trundy and director Mervyn LeRoy and his wife, after being informed by Monroe’s lawyer Mickey Rudin that she has overdosed. Trundy’s timeline fits with undertaker Guy Hockett’s (see below) estimation that Monroe died sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

12 a.m.: Murray notices the light under the door again and knocks but gets no reply. She tells police she immediately telephoned Dr. Ralph Greenson, Monroe’s psychiatrist.

Dr. Greenson arrives and tries to break open the door but fails. He looks through the French windows outside and sees Monroe lying on the bed holding the telephone and apparently dead, so breaks the glass to open the locked door and checks her. He calls Dr. Hyman Engelberg. There is some speculation that an ambulance might have been summoned to Monroe’s house at this point and later dismissed.

1 a.m.: Peter Lawford is informed by Mickey Rudin that Monroe is dead.

4:30 a.m.: Police are called and arrive shortly after. The two doctors and Murray are questioned and indicate a time of death of around 12:30 a.m. Police note the room is extremely tidy and the bed appears to have fresh linen on it. They claim Murray was washing sheets when they arrived. Police note that the bedside table has several pill bottles but the room contains no means to wash pills down as there is no glass and the water is turned off. Monroe is known to gag on pills even when drinking to wash them down. Later a glass is found lying on the floor by the bed but police claim it was not there when the room was searched.

5:40 a.m.: Undertaker Guy Hockett arrives and notes that the state of rigor mortis indicates a time of death between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. The time is later altered to match the witness statements.

6 a.m.: Murray changes her story and now says she went back to bed at midnight and only called Dr. Greenson when she awoke at 3 a.m. and noticed the light still on. Both doctors also change their stories and now claim Monroe died around 3:50 a.m. Police note Murray appears quite evasive and extremely vague and she would eventually change her story several times. Despite being a key witness, Murray travels to Europe and is not questioned again.

The pathologist, Dr. Thomas Noguchi, could find no trace of capsules, powder or the typical discoloration caused by Nembutal in Monroe’s stomach or intestines, indicating that the drugs that killed her had not been swallowed. If Monroe had taken them over a period of time (which might account for the lack of residue), she would have died before ingesting the amount found in her bloodstream. Monroe was found lying face down. The body was covered in bruises[citation needed], all minor except for one on her hip. There was also evidence of cyanosis, an indication that death had been very quick. Noguchi asked the toxicologist for examinations of the blood, liver, kidneys, stomach, urine and intestines, which would have revealed exactly how the drugs got into Monroe’s system. However, the toxicologist, after examining the blood, did not believe he needed to check other organs, so many of the organs were destroyed without being examined. Noguchi later asked for the samples, but the medical photographs, the slides of those organs that were examined and the examination form showing bruises on the body had disappeared, making it impossible to investigate the cause of death.

The toxicology report shows high levels of Nembutal (38–66 capsules) and chloral hydrate (14–23 tablets) in Monroe’s blood. The level found was enough to kill more than 10 people. An examination of the body ruled out intravenous injection as the source of the drugs. Coroner Dr. Theodore Curphey oversaw the full autopsy. Apart from the cause of death as listed on the death certificate, the results were never made public and no record of the findings was kept.”

In April 2006, CBS’s 48 Hours presented an updated report by Anthony Summers on Monroe’s death. Through Summers, 48 Hours gained access to audio tapes of interviews conducted by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office in 1982.

According to Summers’ sources, Monroe attended social events at actor Peter Lawford’s beach home in Santa Monica, California, in the months before her death that also included President John F. Kennedy and Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. The 48 Hours report quoted a former Secret Service agent as stating that it was “common knowledge” among his colleagues that there was an affair between Monroe and John Kennedy. Rumors of a relationship with Robert Kennedy were not confirmed.

According to newly released FBI documents, Monroe was considered to be a security risk. In February and March of 1962, Monroe and Eunice Murray visited Mexico on a vacation, where Monroe socialized with Americans who were openly communist, including Murray’s brother-in-law and Frederick Vanderbilt Field. Subsequently the FBI started monitoring Monroe with the type of file that the agency used for possibly subversive people, including performers and artists who had been blacklisted during the McCarthy era. Summers stated in 2006 that, contrary to her public image as a dumb blonde, Monroe was passionate about politics and discussed atomic testing issues with President Kennedy just three months before the Cuban Missile Crisis.

According to the 48 Hours telecast, Lawford told police that he spoke to Monroe on the phone shortly before her death, that she sounded groggy and depressed, and that she said to him, “Say goodbye to Jack,” and “Say goodbye to yourself.” Phone records of her long distance calls that evening were lost, which was a cause of suspicion.”

Marilyn Monroe was found dead on August 5, 1962, by her housekeeper Eunice Murray. She was naked, atop her telephone on her bed, with unhealthy levels of barbiturates in her bloodstream. But the typical signs of barbiturate overdose were completely absent.

Supposedly, Monroe had had an abortion at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital on the 20th of July. It has been said that she had as many as a dozen abortions over the years. But certainly it is well known that she was terminated by her job at Fox Studio. And there were problems with her relationship with Robert F Kennedy; he was not returning her calls.

Evidence is missing, including the original autopsy, her supposed suicide note (which mentioned suicide not at all), and original police report. Furthermore, the first officer at the death scene has publicly disputed the suicide finding.

In 1985, a 20/20 episode was to air where Robert Slatzer postulates that Monroe was killed by Bobby Kennedy, or was in his presence when she died. The show is cancelled.

AN ALIEN VIEW OF BANKERS

— Excerpts from the Top Secret military transcripts published in the book ALIEN INTERVIEW, edited by Lawrence R. Spencer:

“”The banks are operated covertly as a on-combatant provocateur to covertly promote and finance weapons and warfare between the nations of Earth.  Warfare is an internal mechanism of control over the inmate population. The purpose of the senseless genocide and carnage of wars financed by these international banks is to prevent the beings of Earth from sharing open communication, cooperate together in activities that might enable people to prosper, become enlightened, and escape their imprisonment.”

“…artificially created incidents are being forced upon the human race by the operators of the mind-control prison system. The ‘prison guards’ will always promote and support oppressive or totalitarian activities of beings on Earth.  Why not keep the inmates fighting between themselves?  Why not empower madmen to run the governments of Earth?  The men who run the criminal governments of Earth mirror the commands given them by covert thought-controllers of the “Old Empire”.”

INVASION FROM THE EAST, AGAIN

THE END OF THE WESTERN EMPIRE WAS CAUSED BY EVENTS IN CHINA IN THE FIFTH CENTURY A.D..  IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN….

Oriental people and their cultures are the most ancient on Earth.  The “Eastern” civilization (according to “western historians”) was the primary force behind the collapse of Western civilization, i.e. all civilization west of the Ural Mountains, including The Roman Empire.  When the Huns (nomadic warriors on horseback) were forced out of China they moved into Europe and vanquished everyone they encountered.  The Visigoths were one of the tribes most effected, who in turn, repeatedly invaded and pillaged The Roman Empire, sacked Rome, wiped out the Roman Army and killed the Roman Emperor.

Western Civilization (Europe, The U.S and the British Empire) are the direct descendants of the Roman Empire.

“The People’s Republic of China (PRC), is the world’s most-populous country with a population of over 1.3 billion. The East Asian state covers approximately 9.6 million square kilometres (3.7 million square miles) in total area and is the world’s second-largest country by land area,[14] and the third- or fourth-largest in total area, depending on the definition of total area.

China has become the world’s fastest-growing major economy. As of 2012, it is the world’s second-largest economy, after the United States, by both nominal GDP andpurchasing power parity (PPP) and is also the world’s largest exporter and second-largest importer of goods. Onper capita terms, China ranked 90th by nominal GDP and 91st by GDP (PPP) in 2011, according to the IMF. China is arecognized nuclear weapons state and has the world’s largest standing army, with the second-largest defense budget. In 2003, China became the third nation in the world, after the former Soviet Union and the United States, to independently launch a successful manned space mission.”  (Source:  Wikipedia.org)

The events of history are cyclical.  China, and The Barbarians (International Banks), are at the gates of Western civilization once again.  China’s admission into the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001, carried with it requirements for further economic liberalization and deregulation. China’s ongoing economic transformation has had a profound impact not only on China but on the Western world.

“The Migration Period, also known as the Barbarian Invasions, was a period of intensified human migration in Europe from about 400 to 800 CE. It began when the Huns were driven out of the “Far East” by the Chinese.  This period marked the transition from Late Antiquity to the Early Middle Ages. Migrations were catalyzed by profound changes within theRoman Empire and on its “barbarian frontier”. The migrants who came first were Germanic tribes such as the Goths,VandalsLombardsSuebiFrisii and Franks; they were later pushed west by the Huns,The Chinese The Huns may have stimulated the Great Migration, a contributing factor in the collapse of the western Roman Empire. They formed a unified empire under Attila the Hun, who died in 453.  The Barbarian invasions of the fifth century were triggered by the destruction of the Gothic kingdoms by the Huns in 372-375. The city of Rome was captured and looted by the Visigoths in 410 and by the Vandals in 455.”  (Source:  Wikipedia.org)

PHILOSOPHER FOR HIRE

no-free-adviceA philosopher is someone who practices philosophy, which involves rational inquiry into areas that are outside of either theological dogma or science. The term “philosopher” comes from the Ancient Greek φιλόσοφος (philosophos) meaning “lover of wisdom”. Its origination has been ascribed to the Greek thinker Pythagoras.

In the classical sense, a philosopher was someone who lived according to a certain way of life, focusing on resolving existential questions about the human condition, and not someone who discourses upon theories or comments upon authors. Typically, these particular brands of philosophy are Hellenistic ones and those who most arduously commit themselves to this lifestyle may be considered philosophers.

In a modern sense, a philosopher is an intellectual who has contributed in one or more branches of philosophy, such as aesthetics, ethics, epistemology, logic, metaphysics, social theory, and political philosophy. A philosopher may also be one who worked in the humanities or other sciences which have since split from philosophy proper over the centuries, such as the arts, history, economics, sociology, psychology, linguistics, anthropology, theology, and politics.

Excerpts from “1001 Things to do while you’re dead”

EXCERPTS FROM THE NEW BOOK:

1001 THINGS TO DO WHILE YOU’RE DEAD: A Dead Person’s Guide to Living” by Lawrence R. Spencer

AVOID YOUR FUNERAL.

If you are squeamish about autopsies, embalming,  funeral piers, cremation incinerators, worms, bugs or bacteria you may want to stay away until all that messy, bad smelling business is over and done.

However, funeral directors have become quite masterful, over the past 5,000 years, at making a dead body look as good, or better, than it looked when it was alive. A little formaldehyde, a few strategic injections, a little stuffing, nice clothes, cosmetics, a wig and a comfy, silk-lined coffin, your used body can look better than ever!

This is a good reason to stay away as you may be enticed to start thinking about going back. Obviously, it’s too late. Factually, you never were a body and you definitely are not a body now. So stay focused. The future is where the rest of your life will be lived!

PRACTICE BEING CUTE.

If you attended your own funeral you are probably suffering from the loss of having a body. More important, you may be thinking that you don’t really have any identity or personality without having a body. How will anyone recognize you without your body?

Fortunately, bodies are a nickel a million. Five babies are born every second.  So, should you succumb to the ungodly urge to get a new baby body in order to feel a sense of personal identity, you will need to practice being cute.

The only reason people have babies – and keep them – is because they think babies are cute. The same principle applies to all living creatures. So, brush up on looking cute, making cute sounds, doing cute mannerisms, cute smiles, cute laughs, etc..  You’ll need to have your cute skills in top form when and if you get a new body.

LIGHT and LOVE: A FREQUENCY OF THOUGHT VIBRATION

A NEW DAY
A new day, in a new year, in another life-time of experience, in universes we perceive subjectively, or collectively, based on our understandings of and ability to create and control our thoughts. May you be blessed with Joy and Fulfillment in the New Year!

Einstein said, “Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.
Nikola Tesla  said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
The various forms of Light and other manifestations of energy that can be perceived through our biological bodies are infinitely small, compared to the total electromagnetic spectrum.  As human beings we are limited to only 5 basic methods of energy perception:  sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste.  These perceptions make human beings virtually “blind”, as we can sense only about .0035% of the entire energy spectrum in the physical universe!  Some species of animals are able to sense energy in a way that humans cannot, with some species able to sense electrical and magnetic fields, and detect water pressure and currents.
However, when Spiritual Beings who ANIMATE the body leave the body in times of injury, or at death, and goes OUTSIDE the limit of bodily perceptions, they often experience a vastly expanded ability to perceive energy.  Many books have been written about “going into The Light” during out-of-body experiences.  This “light” could be nothing more than becoming overwhelmed by the sudden ability to perceive THOUSANDS of times MORE energy vibrations!  The “blind” man can suddenly “see”, or perceived a vast spectrum of energy that was previously “invisible” or beyond the extremely limited sensory perceptions of a human body.
Light is only a vibration of energy at various frequencies and intensity.  For example, the light that comes from you TV screen.  This form of “light” also contains sound vibrations, and “messages” that have been embedded in the “light and sound” energy.  Many of these messages are vibrating at an energy frequency that is above or below our ability to receive.  For example, a dog can hear sounds we can here, and dolphins can perceive energy we can’t detect.
“Extrasensory” perception cannot be measured by the human senses.  However, there a now a network of satellites flying around Earth that can detect, decode and compile data from huge parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.  This data enables us to “see” the Earth and our universe that were previously “invisible”.  Likewise, the ability of some Spiritual Beings to perceive energy, and non-physical, or non-energy phenomenon varies widely.  Telepathy, remote viewing, clairvoyance, time, and love are a few examples of perceptions that are “extra-sensory”.
Since the inventions of Nikola Tesla (radio, TV, alternating current, remote control, etc..) and the equations of Einstein, our ability to perceive energy as the human race has made a quantum leap!!Imagine the technology of civilizations who may have developed the ability to create, manipulate and control energy over a period of billions or trillions of years!
Likewise, every emotion we experience is quality or type of energy vibration.  This includes hate, fear, lust, joy, anger, etc…  Sexual sensation is also an energy vibration experience by through the body.  A Spiritual Being can create these vibrational frequencies directly by themselves, inside the body AND outside the body. These may be interpreted as the emotion of “love”.  Or, at the purely physical level, experienced at “pain”.
Because of our “blindness” we must turn EVERYTHING around 180 degrees on this planet, and examine it again from the beginning,  We know that a prison is built of walls of condensed energy or electricity.  Likewise, the prison of “blindness” within our minds is built with “thought” or ideas.  Einstein and many Eastern gurus have observed that THOUGHT is the source of energy, and therefore, the source of matter. These are jumbled and squashed together into a MASSES of Energy we call “matter”.   So, in order to overcome our “blindness” it seems that we must improve our ability to perceive.  This means we must learn to control and create the frequency of vibration of ENERGY!
Personally, it is my observation that the ability to “love” is a kind of energy that ONLY a Spiritual Being can create and perceive, that is common to all sentient beings.  The “thought” of “love” can transcend and transform ANY other form of energy, in any universe.

BIGGER ON THE INSIDE

book tardisTARDIS = Time And Relative Dimension In Space) is a time machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television program Doctor Who.  A properly maintained and piloted TARDIS can transport its occupants to any point in time and space.

BOOK = Words composed, formatted and printed on sheets of paper bound THE BIG BLEEPtogether into a single volume by sturdy cardboard.  Or, a volume, as above, electronically digitized to be read on various digital devices such as computers or phone, etc..  Or, read by professional actors, recorded and formatted as an audio book.  Many books contain factual or fanciful information which may be useful, entertaining, enlightening, etc.. Some books may assist the reader to achieve the illusion, or actuality, of traveling through time, space, relative dimension or thought without having to watch silly British sci-fi TV shows.  On Earth a Tardis does not exist.  However, if you have not read any good books lately, try reading one of my books. The Big Bleep: The Mystery of A Different Universe, for example, is like a Tardis, but much more interesting.

EVIL

COUNT DRACULA - evil quote

Human beings are too frail of body and feeble of intellect to fathom the blatant effects of Evil in the world. For Evil, is that quality which Mankind is the least willing to acknowledge and challenge!

Sherlock-Holmes-My-Life_cover300 None are so deadly as the villain who remains unseen and unchallenged. It is by our own failure to reveal their sordid intentions and fight vigorously against their covert actions that the parasites are given permission to drain the blood of individuals and nations.

Count Dracula, and his kindred spirits, may be considered to be “evil” from the point of view of mankind. However, apart from the prejudice of the human victims who do not desire to serve as food for others who drink their blood, the vampire can not be considered to be anything other than an immortal spiritual being, attempting to persist and survive in a quasi-corporeal form.

I esteem that there is only one principle difference between a human being who eats a roasted chicken or pork or beef, and a vampire who drinks the living blood of a human being. That is, that the vampire, by consuming the living blood, derives a more sustainable form of energy than the man who eats the dead flesh of an animal.

The man who eats dead meat lives 65 years, his own spirit is confined inside a fragile piece of flesh, with little or no self-awareness regarding his potential capabilities as a spiritual entity. Whereas, the vampire, consuming only the living blood of its victim, maintains an extreme spiritual power and ability, as well as physical strength and longevity which borders upon immortality!

Who is to say which condition is more or less desirable? There seems to me to be absolutely no limit to the inanity and credulity of the human race. Homo Sapiens! Homo idioticus!

Yet, it is entirely understandable that men do not trouble themselves with grotesque speculations as to the nature of life beyond the grave. They have enough to do in this world. Life is a beautiful thing. The man who appreciates its beauties enjoys a sufficient understanding of life without dabbling in religions or spiritualism.

Religion is a fraud which have been exposed a hundred times and yet priests continue to find fresh crowds of foolish devotees whose insane credulity and superstitious prejudice make them impervious to all rational arguments. One can only leave them to seek destinations of their singular Fates, which they have been predetermined for them.

Unless we practice eternal vigilance against these vampires, we will continue to be afflicted and effected by the contagion of their parasitical insanity. The vitality of every civilization which has crumbled into disrepair and dust was drained of life by these diabolical beings!

ONTOLOGICAL CHAUTAUQUAS

Zen_motorcycleI was interested to read “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” as I spent many years of my life riding motorcycles, and most of my life searching for answers to ontological and spiritual questions.

The author, Robert M. Pirsig, in first person, tells his real-life adventure of  a 17-day journey on his motorcycle from Minnesota to Northern California with two friends and his 8 year old son Chris.  The trip is punctuated by numerous philosophical musings and educational diatribes he refers to as “Chautauquas“, a popular method of adult teaching used in rural America during the 1800s.

Robert Pirsig was tested as having an IQ of 170 at the age of 9 years.  His prodigious intellect led him to an epiphany that Western academia and science is based on unsubstantiated bullshit.  Thereafter his personal philosophical investigations eventually drove him to ask questions and find answers that can only be discovered by exploring ones spiritual self.

The “dialogues” the author has with himself while riding his motorcycle across America are tied together by the story of the narrator’s own past self, who is referred to in the third person as Phaedrus (after Plato’s dialogue). Phaedrus, a teacher of creative and technical writing at a small college, became engrossed in the question of what defines good writing, and what in general defines good, or “Quality”.

The book reviews the subject of Western philosophy, touches on Eastern philosophy, including Zen.  The discipline and technical skill of maintaining the motorcycle he is riding is used as an excellent analogue for his explanation of his psychic travels through the barren landscape of soulless Western world, both physically and metaphysically.  Eventually, he resolves the question of “what is quality” through a subjective understanding of spiritual essence.

Fortunately, Mr. Pirsig is still living and has resolved his personal quest sufficiently to continue living in human society long enough to write this excellent book.

THE OZ FACTORS (Chapter Two)

CHAPTER TWO (partial)

WE’RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD, BUT FIRST …

“How do I start for Emerald City?”–Dorothy

“It’s always best to start at the beginning…”–Glinda in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

An old German proverb asks the question, “What is the use of running if we are not on the right road?” In our travels to search for answers to the primordial questions of life, we must first make sure that we are on the right road. Finding the right road requires accurate, understandable directions. Obviously, in order to understand the directions, we must understand the language of the people who are giving us the directions.

In the words of Confucius (551-479 BC), “If language is not correct, then what I said is not what is meant and what ought to be done remains undone. If this remains undone, morals and art will deteriorate. If justice goes astray, the people will stand about in helpless confusion. Hence, there must be no arbitrariness in what is said. This matters above everything.”

To ensure that we understand the directions along the road, we must define a few words in the language being spoken. The most important reason to get our definitions straight is that  INFORMATION IS ONLY AS VALUABLE AS ONE IS ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND USE IT TO CREATE A WORKABLE SOLUTION.

In a strange, foreign land like Oz, Dorothy is suddenly presented with an overwhelming number of unfamiliar sights, sounds, places, creatures, cultures, technology and politics which she has never before encountered. It’s a place very much like planet Earth during the “Information Age”.

Every new technology has its own language. With any new technology, there is a lot of new, unfamiliar language to learn.

Most information we receive is in the form of words. If you don’t know what each one of the words mean, you can’t understand the information. (It’s a very fortunate coincidence that Glinda and the Munchkins spoke English, or Dorothy might still be stuck in Munchkinland trying to figure out directions to the Emerald City.)

However, real life is not like a Hollywood movie in which all the Munchkins, witches, scarecrows, trees and lions just happen to speak perfect English. When we crash-land on an alien planet or into another Universe, we will usually run into language we do not understand.

So, to make sure we’re getting ourselves onto the right “Yellow Brick Road”, we need to know the definitions of the words in languages like Munchkinese or Ozian; or on planet Earth, the languages of technology like computers or biological engineering or astrophysics or any other “foreign” language we encounter. This will help us understand the signs along our “Yellow Brick Road” leading to our “Emerald City” of answers to the primordial questions of life.

A–WHAT’S SO WONDERFUL ABOUT WIZARDS?

“If ever a Wonderful Wiz there was, the Wizard of Oz is one because, because, because, because, because, because … because of the wonderful things he does.”–The Munchkins singing in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

The song says the Wizard is a wizard because of the “wonderful” things he does. When Dorothy asks the Munchkins how to get back to Kansas, they tell her to go see the Wizard to get the answer to her question. The Munchkins assume that the Wizard will have a workable solution to her problem.

If Dorothy had crash-landed her house somewhere else, she might have said, “Take me to your leader.” (Had she crash-landed on Earth, she would have found that very few of our leaders, if any, are either “wizards” or “wonderful”.)

Let’s check the dictionary and find out exactly what a wizard is and what makes one so wonderful.

Wizard–(noun) [derived from the Old Norse word viskr, meaning: clever, knowing: originally, a sage; a magician.

The song from the movie could be literally translated to mean: “We’re off to see the clever, knowing magician and sage of Oz”.

Okay, so what’s a “sage”? Sage–(noun) [derived from the Latin word sapiens, wise] a very wise man.

What is a “magician”? Magician–(noun) an expert in magic [derived from the Greek word magikos, of the Magi; (see Magi)

Magi–(noun plural) [derived from the Old Persian word, magu, member of a priestly caste, 1/ the priestly caste in ancient Media and Persia, supposedly having occult powers. 2/ in the Bible, the wise men from the East who came bearing gifts to the infant Jesus: Matthew 2:1-13.

Now, let’s get back to the original word, “wonderful”–(adjective), to fill with wonder.

Wonder–1/ a person, thing or event that causes astonishment, and admiration; marvel (as in “Professor Marvel”); 2/ The feeling of surprise, admiration and awe aroused by something strange, unexpected, incredible, etc; 3/ a miracle.

So, what the song really means is: “He is a wonderful Wiz because, because we are surprised, astonished and filled with awe and admiration at the strange, unexpected and incredible things he does…”

This doesn’t translate into very good song lyrics, but it does describe the feeling that Dorothy and her friends had when they finally met the Wizard in the Emerald City.

Now for the last of our definitions: Miracle–(noun) [derived from the Greek word “mirari”, to wonder at, wonderful], an event or action that apparently contradicts known scientific laws and is hence thought to be due to supernatural causes, especially an act of God.

There are numerous actual and/or mythical people throughout history, in every part of the world, who easily fit the above definition, current leaders notwithstanding. And, while miracles come in many forms, a miracle ultimately depends upon the viewpoint of the observer.

An example of a “wonderful”, “miraculous” event might be an airplane, equipped with all the electronic trappings we take for granted in our twentieth century civilization, including batteries, various electric appliances, radios, radar, cigarette lighters, flashlights, guns, synthetic fabrics, etc, landing in a never-before-contacted aboriginal jungle setting. To the native inhabitants of the area, still living in a Stone Age, the aboriginal explanation of these alien objects might be that they are the works of a god or a wizard. They would think that the airplane and modern electrical devices are a miracle and magic and wonderful.

As another example, a great deal of evidence uncovered in recent archaeological excavations of Sumeria, Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia and elsewhere contains “wonderful” anomalies and exhibits evidence of civilizations which demonstrate “miraculous” technical ability.

Furthermore, dates for the construction of some of the sites being investigated have been revised considerably. For example, a date of 10,400 BC for the construction of the Sphinx in Egypt is a concept which many scientists consider to be “incredible”, “surprising”, “awesome” or “astonishing” and therefore, a “miracle”, yet, that is what the evidence seems to show.

Miracles aside, the tools of geology, astronomy, astrophysics, engineering, forensics and many other independent methods through which to observe the universe, give us a more profound understanding of the languages of our universes. The same archaeological evidence mentioned above, seen under the magnifying glass of these technologies results in a more complete understanding of problems or questions that “scientific theories” have not yet been able to resolve.

Wizards and miracles can only be understood in the context of the level of understanding on the part of the observer. Since we have yet to fully answer the primordial questions of life, perhaps:

1/ we are on the wrong road altogether.

2/ we are trying to answer questions which are based on assumptions, scientific theories or personal viewpoints which are incorrect.

3/ we don’t understand the questions.

4/ there are other factors, as yet unknown, which prevent our observation and understanding of what we see and experience in the Physical Universe and in Your Own Universe.

B–THE OZ FACTORS

“There, there, lie quiet now. You just had a bad dream.” – Aunt Em

“But it wasn’t a dream. It was a place. And you – and you – and you – and you were there.” – Dorothy

“Oh, we dream lots of silly things when we…” – Aunt Em

“No, Aunt Em, this was a real, truly live place. And I remember that some of it wasn’t very nice – but most of it was beautiful.” -Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

The term “Oz Factor” was originally coined by the British UFO researcher Jenny Randles in reference to a peculiar, almost dreamlike state of silence that sometimes precedes UFO encounters. Jenny Randles supposed the Oz Factor to be an altered state of consciousness induced by the “persons” behind the UFO phenomenon. She conceived that this influence originated from beings of another planet, capable of reaching across space to influence human behavior. She postulated that these beings are physically present in the vicinity of the affected person. Jenny describes this experience as “not really happening, yet it is far more than a mere hallucination.”

Randles uses the term to describe a variety of phenomena:

“What I wanted to do was to anchor this state of mind very firmly in real experience. I have surveyed what witnesses say in this wide range of paranormal phenomena, both obviously time related (such as time-slips) and not so obviously related (such as near-death or UFO close-encounter visions). The pattern is the same and you can readily build up this portrait of the state of consciousness which seems to facilitate their occurrence.

“That is the first step. Giving it a neutral name to capture its essence of magical transportation was the next move forward, hence the Oz Factor.

“We must move on from here. It helps a little to say that the Oz factor is a set of symptoms denoting an altered state of consciousness in which the normal bonds of time are freed and the mind senses the universe as it really is and can wander through those corridors of forever.”

Illusion, hallucination, imagination and reality: universes can be created by each of us individually and/or collectively.

Our purpose here is not to speculate on the relative validity of universes. Like Jenny Randles, we are traveling on a “Yellow Brick Road” toward the resolution of primordial questions. The road may be a reality or it may be an hallucination. Our journey is to examine some of the factors that may adversely effect our ability to discover workable solutions–the differences between reality and hallucination–in any universe.

Unlike Dorothy in the Land of Oz, we do not have Ruby Slippers and a Good Witch to lead us or protect us. We are on our own in our travels through the Land of Oz, Kansas, planet Earth, the Physical Universe and Your Own Universe.

Like a scarecrow who can’t decide which way to go, the twists and turns of the road which have been charted by western science, have not resolved our primordial questions. Some people, who don’t have any more brains than a scarecrow, do an awful lot of talking but we still have no reliable road map–we have no proven sign posts. Therefore, we must draw our own map and post signs to guide ourselves and mark the way for others who may follow.

Our journey must define a new map through uncharted universes. Our map must not only help to choose the right road, but it must also protect us from the perils of lions and tigers and bears (oh, my!), witches, flying monkeys, great and powerful Ozes, and other distractions, along the way.

Every time we take a wrong turn, every time we encounter a perilous barrier to understanding, we must post a new sign. We call each one of these sign posts, an “Oz Factor”.

DEFINITION OF “OZ FACTOR”: A COMMON DENOMINATOR OF WESTERN LOGIC WHICH PREVENTS OBSERVATION, UNDERSTANDING, AND THE ATTAINMENT OF A WORKABLE SOLUTION.

Each of the Oz Factors represents a kind of fork in the road of logic.

One is confronted with a nearly infinite number of possible forks or turning points along the road. As the Scarecrow tells Dorothy, there are a lot of different roads one CAN follow.

Although Western science has chosen a fork in the road which is very physical, rather than spiritual, many people considered themselves and all of life to be defined by a spiritual essence.  All life forms, including plants, animals and man are motivated by and  share the common denominator of a life essence we call spirit.

The predominant viewpoint of Western science is that Man is ONLY a physical entity. The logic of Western science is that the spirit can not be measured or weighed in the physical universe. Science has chosen the physical universe fork in the road: the spirit does not exist! In other words, there is only ONE UNIVERSE, the physical universe.         Consequently, the map of the Yellow Brick Road which has been drawn for us by Western science has largely determined our view of universes. Our logic has been defined by the laws of the physical universe which seem to dictate that Man is only a physical universe animal.

Where has the map drawn by Western sciences taken us as a civilization and as individual beings in our search for answers to the primordial questions of life? How will the road we are following effect the future of our planet? What about other forks in the road that could be followed?

Let’s examine the sign posts along this road–the Oz Factors. There are currently twelve Oz Factors which have been identified:

1/ WE’VE GOT TO VERIFY IT

” … we’ve got to verify it legally, to see if she (the Wicked Witch of the East) is morally, ethically, spiritually, physically, positively, absolutely, undeniably and reliably dead.”–The Mayor of Munchkin City in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

Archaeological evidence of ancient civilizations is, literally, in ruins. Our understanding of what remains is muddled by missing information. Artifacts have been long since stolen. Parts of ancient monuments have been dismantled by local residents and used in new construction. Books have been burned by jealous priests and greedy tyrants. Ancient languages and writing can no longer be read or understood.

Missing information leads to incorrect assumptions, unproven hypotheses and unworkable solutions.

Our personal and collective unfamiliarity with past events prevents our clear understanding of what we see in the present.

Our need to handle the demands of solving present time survival problems often makes us forget the past.

Specialization in the sciences is a primary cause of missing information. In the science of medicine, for example, there are now so many specialists that one cannot be treated for any ailment without consulting a doctor who specializes in the diseases of a specific body part. As a result, a problem in one area of the body can remain undetected while the specialist is treating another body part.

This method may have its practical uses and certainly contributes to the advancement of detailed study. However, the problem with specialization is that each specialized science excludes information that is not specific to the very narrow field of its own particular study.

When science is confronted with the problem of developing a comprehensive understanding of an entire subject, it is often missing information from other sciences.

A dermatologist is not likely to fix your broken leg. Likewise, archaeology or paleontology, being very limited sciences, are not likely to come up with workable solutions to our primordial origins.

Any study that requires a comprehensive understanding of a very broad body of information in order to solve mysteries, such as the “origin of man” or “where did life come from”, or “how to get back to Kansas” must include ALL of the information available.

2/ ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH?

“Are you a good witch or a bad witch?”–Glinda

“Who? Me? Why, I’m not a witch at all! I’m Dorothy Gale from Kansas.” –Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

One well-known, but now extinct, assumption of a few hundred years ago was that “sickness is caused by ill-humors residing in the blood”. Based on this wonderfully unproved theory, doctors and psychiatrists attempted, with a uniformly resounding lack of success, to cure sickness by bleeding someone; i.e., stabbing them with a knife in a vein and letting out what they considered to be enough blood to affect a “cure”. This resulted, in fact, in the murder of a countless number of innocent patients, including the first President of the United States, George Washington, who merely suffered from the common cold, yet was bled to death by his doctor.

A current example of an unproved assumption is the notion that man is an animal, who evolved on planet Earth from primitive single cells which are further assumed to have arisen spontaneously from a sea of chemicals. This process of evolution is presumed to have advanced randomly, yet in a highly precise interaction, through a process of natural selection, which has resulted in all life forms on Earth.

Another assumption, commonly acted upon by traditional Western “thinkers” such as certain ancient Greek philosophers, the Holy Inquisition, newspaper reporters and psychiatrists, is that Man is basically evil. Obviously, this theory is based on the personal opinion of those whose vested interests prevent them from observing that Man may, quite arguably, be basically good.

Sadly, these marvelous deductions of “modern science” have led to the justification of such atrocities as the atomic bomb, the institutionalization of psychiatric drugs and the use of “therapeutic” electric shock in an attempt to control human behavior.  Such unfounded, illogical assumptions fill many textbooks, and the minds of their witless readers.

3/ THE HOUR GLASS

“You see that (hour glass)? That’s how much longer you have to live! And it isn’t long, my pretty, it isn’t long … “–The Wicked Witch of the West in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

THE DATING GAME OF RELATIVES

Theoretically, a very practical and useful investigative tool used by some scientific disciplines to gather and evaluate information is to establish the age of an artifact.

Carbon-14, the most commonly used dating method in archaeology and paleontology, works only on organic material. It is supposed to measure the relative rate of deterioration of a Carbon-14 atom as a standard for organic matter. At best, it is useful in dating organic materials no older than 80,000 years. Since one atom does not equal all other atoms, the technology does not work on stone or any other non-organic material. Based on such a limited technology, trying to assign an age to a stone pyramid, for instance, is bound to provide wrong answers.

Similarly, a relatively new dating method called uranium-lead isotope analysis is supposed to date rocks as old as two billion years, give or take a few million.

However, there is a flaw in the logic of these dating methods which invalidates the information they provide, namely, all dating methods are based on the assumption that matter is destructible! In fact, there exists no slightest shred of evidence that matter is anything other than utterly indestructible.

While it is observable that the action of energy or force against matter can alter the form of matter, it does not ever really destroy it.

Example: Stone is turned to dust by beating it with a hammer. Buildings can be torn down with explosives. Water can be vaporized with heat. Sand can melt and turn into glass. Granite cliffs can be sliced up into one-hundred ton blocks to build pyramids. But, none of these actions do anything other than alter the form of the matter.

Whether matter is in the form of a solid, liquid, gas or energy, it is still composed of the same subatomic particles that existed at the instant of its creation. The most that Mother Nature, or any life form, can do with matter is alter its form. Humans can create a temporary illusion by changing matter from one form into another. However, that illusion will eventually return to the same basic particles from which it is composed. The particles themselves persist timelessly.

HOW OLD IS “FATHER TIME”?

Time is a subject that is far from absolute. The measurement of time is the activity of monitoring the movement of matter or energy particles through space. In order to establish the passage of time, one must establish an agreed-upon reference point for beginning the period of time to be measured. Then, the increments of measurement must be uniformly consistent throughout the period of time being quantified. This set of qualifying factors, however, applies only to the Physical Universe.

Does time (as the Munchkins would say) morally, ethically, spiritually, physically, positively, absolutely, undeniably and reliably actually, really exist?

Imagine that you are completely isolated, unable to observe any physical motion whatsoever–no sun, moon and stars, night or day. If you were isolated from your own body such that you could not detect any breathing rhythm or heartbeat or cellular motion of any kind to use as a reference point, would time exist?

People who have been locked in solitary confinement, whether in a prison or in an isolation chamber, have experienced the phenomenon of “no time”.

Since many people seem to have an innate, built-in time sense, or a “biological clock”, there may be a subjective awareness of time. But, even so, time is determined by measuring some motion in the physical universe.

How can the dates of something for which you have no starting point be measured? How can the age of our planet, our galaxy, or the entire physical universe be determined? How can the age of something which does not exist in the physical universe, such as a spirit, be calculated?

Logically, an arbitrary unit of measurement must be chosen. Then a particle or object which can move through space must exist. This particle would have to travel at a uniformly predictable rate of speed. The unit of measurement would depend on the magnitude or size of the motion of the particle relative to a fixed point in space, or a fixed point of view.

Here is a simple example: let’s imagine a theoretical COSMIC TIME CLOCK in which ONE SECOND equals ONE EARTH YEAR.

If you counted the ticks of the second hand of this cosmic clock in “normal” time increments of 24 hour days, every day, how long would it take you to measure the recent history of planet Earth?

2 years and 22 days ago would equal the end of the Dinosaur Age (75 million BC)

1 hour, 14 minutes,6 seconds ago equals 2,450 BC– Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu

53 minutes, 36 seconds ago equals 1220 BC–Moses’ Exodus from Egypt

42 minutes 39 seconds ago equals 563 BC–Buddha is born

33 minutes 16 seconds ago equals “year zero” the calendar in use throughout most of the world, sponsored by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582

8 minutes 24 seconds ago equals 1492 AD, Columbus “discovers” America

3 minutes 40 seconds ago equals 1776 AD, the United States of America is founded

One human average lifetime (70 years) equals 1 minute, 10 seconds on the Cosmic Time Clock.

Time is a relative measurement of the motion of particles in the Physical Universe. The order of magnitude of the unit of measurement may vary according to the point of view of the observer.

To venture a guess as to the age of the physical universe, based on a supposed decay of matter is another example of “scientific theory” based on assumption and personal viewpoint.

According to some authorities, mainly from the non-physical sciences, such as philosophy, there is reason to believe that the physical universe may have existed for many trillions of years or perhaps for a nearly infinite period of time. However, since time is a relative factor, it’s importance as a tool for evaluating other information is also relative.
