The Plants that Fruits Come

In botany, a fruit is a part of a flowering plant that derives from specific tissues of the flower, one or more ovaries, and in some cases accessory tissues. Fruits are the means by which these plants disseminate seeds. Many of them that bear edible fruits, in particular, have propagated with the movements of humans and animals in a symbiotic relationship as a means for seed dispersal and nutrition.

In many parts of the world, humans and animals have become dependent on fruits as a source of food. In this post, we celebrate the plants and trees, that the fruits many of us know and love, come from. Hopefully there’s a few that you haven’t seen before

HAPPINESS

Hemingway-Happiness The Pulitzer Prize winning American writer Ernest Hemingway (1899 – 1961) said “Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know”.

At the end of his life Hemingway was being chased by the FBI and IRS because he lived in Cuba and was a friend of Fidel Castro, a communist, who opposed the Rothschild international bankers ambition control of the world.  Understandably, Hemingway, also a long time alcoholic, became depressed and suicidal.  His wife sent him to a mental hospital where they gave him dozens of electric shock treatments and heavy drugs to “cure” his depression.  Two days after being released from the hospital his shot himself in the head with his double-barreled shotgun! Hemingway was super-intelligent, but unhappy.

Hemingway is an example that Intelligence, alone, is not the “key to happiness”.  I remembered what Krishnamurti said:

Jiddu Krishnamurti“…you have the idea that only certain people hold the key to the Kingdom of Happiness. No one holds it. No one has the authority to hold that key. That key is your own self, and in the development and the purification and in the incorruptibility of that self alone is the Kingdom of Eternity….

You have been accustomed to being told how far you have advanced, what is your spiritual status. How childish! Who but yourself can tell you if you are incorruptible?  I am not concerned, nor with creating new cages, nor new decorations for those cages. My only concern is to set men absolutely, unconditionally free.”

It is interesting that Krishnamurti uses the words “development, purification and incorruptibility” to describe the “key” to happiness.  Perhaps this  describes the path we have can follow to discover the truth and happiness.

Perhaps it is not as important to be “happy” as it is to see the truth and not become corrupted or depressed by it.  Maybe our “development” and “incorruptibility” demand and require that we become “depressed” sometimes as part of our “development”.  And, as part of our progress toward Freedom, which is an essential part of Happiness.

LOCATION IN SPACE

POINT OF VIEW

ALIEN INTERVIEW“Since an IS-BE* is not a physical universe entity it has no location in space or time.  An IS-BE is literally, “immaterial”. They can span great distances of space instantly.”  (*IS-BE = Immortal Spiritual Being)

BEAUTIFUL DELUSION

leo-tolstoy-quote

Leo Tolstoy (9 September, 1828 – 20 November, 1910), was a Russian novelist, short story writer, essayist, playwright and philosopher who primarily wrote novels and short stories. Tolstoy was a master of realistic fiction and is widely considered one of the greatest novelists of all time. Ilya_Repin_-_Leo_TolstoyHe is best known for two long novels, War and Peace (1869) and Anna Karenina (1877). Tolstoy first achieved literary acclaim in his 20s with his semi-autobiographical trilogy of novels, Childhood, Boyhood, and Youth (1852–1856) and Sevastopol Sketches (1855), based on his experiences in the Crimean War. His fiction output also includes two additional novels, dozens of short stories, and several famous novellas, including The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Family Happiness, and Hadji Murad. In addition to novels and short stories, he also wrote plays and philosophical essays on Christianity, nonviolent resistance, art and pacifism.

The Kreutzer Sonata is a novella by Leo Tolstoy, named after Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata. The novella was published in 1889 and promptly censored by the Russian authorities. The work is an argument for the ideal of sexual abstinence and an in-depth first-person description of jealous rage.

Tolstoy is equally known for his complicated and paradoxical persona and for his extreme moralistic and ascetic views, which he adopted after a moral crisis and spiritual awakening in the 1870s, after which he also became noted as a moral thinker, social reformer, and Georgist.  His literal interpretation of the ethical teachings of Jesus, centering on the Sermon on the Mount, caused him in later life to become a fervent Christian anarchist and anarcho-pacifist. His ideas on nonviolent resistance, expressed in such works as The Kingdom of God Is Within You, were to have a profound impact on such pivotal 20th-century figures as Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr..

EX LIBRIS

Books are valuable possessions. Books require thousands of hours, or even a lifetime to write, edit, and print.  Before the advent of the printing press in the 14th century books were written by hand — one at a time — and only aristocrats and priests could read them.  Historically, wealthy and educated persons collected books in private libraries.  Each book had a label, or “book plate”  placed on the inside front cover of the book to identify the owner.  A bookplate, also known as ex-librīs [Latin, “from the books of…”], is usually a small print or decorative label pasted into a book, often on the inside front cover, to indicate its owner. Simple typographical bookplates are termed “booklabels”.  Bookplates typically bear a name, motto, device, coat-of-arms, crest, badge, or any motif that relates to the owner of the book, or is requested by him from the artist or designer. The name of the owner usually follows an inscription such as “from the books of . . . ” or “from the library of . . . “, or in Latin, ex libris …. Bookplates are important evidence for the provenance of books. Here are a few examples of Book Plates for Greta Garbo, Douglas Fairbanks, Sigmund Freud, and others:

TELEPATHY: SPIRITUAL MIME

TELEPATHIC MIME

Telepathy (from the ancient Greek τηλε, tele meaning “distant” and πάθη, pathe or patheia meaning “feeling, perception, passion, affliction, experience”) is the supposed transmission of information from one person to another without using any of our known sensory channels or physical interaction.

Telepathy is commonly used in fiction, with a number of superheroes and supervillains, as well as figures in many science fiction novels, etc., use telepathy. Notable fictional telepaths include the Jedi in Star Wars.  The use of  “The Force”, which enables the use of the spirit to influence the physical universe.  The inspiration for Star Wars was based largely on the much earlier science fiction books of E.E. Smith, most especially in the six books of THE LENSMEN SERIES, first published in 1948.

The mechanics of telepathy in fiction vary widely. Some fictional telepaths are limited to receiving only thoughts that are deliberately sent by other telepaths, or even to receiving thoughts from a specific other person. For example, in Robert A. Heinlein’s 1956 novel Time for the Stars, certain pairs of twins are able to send telepathic messages to each other.

In A. E. van Vogt’s science fiction novel Slan, the mutant hero Jommy Cross can read the minds of ordinary humans. Some telepaths can read the thoughts only of those they touch, such as Vulcans in the Star Trek media franchise. Star Trek science consultant and writer André Bormanis, has revealed that telepathy within the Star Trek universe works via the “psionic field.” According to Bormanis, a psionic field is the “medium” through which unspoken thoughts and feelings are communicated through space. Some humanoids can tap into this field through a kind of sense organ located in the brain; in the same manner that human eyes can sense portions of the electromagnetic field, telepaths can sense portions of the psionic field. In the book “Eragon“, Eragon can communicate through his mind with almost anyone, including his dragon Saphira, but it is possible to block people from one’s mind with a barrier.

In the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling, telepathy is a magical skill known as Legilimency. In the John Wyndham novel The Chrysalids, the main character and narrator David Strorm is one of a group of nine telepaths. In Anthony Horowitz’s Power of Five series twins Jamie and Scott Tyler were born with telepathic powers that enable them to read people’s minds and, ultimately, control them.

A mime artist (from Greek “μίμος”—mimos, “imitator, actor”) is someone who uses mime as a theatrical medium or as a performance art, involving miming, or the acting out a story through body motions, without use of speech. In earlier times, in English, such a performer would typically be referred to as a mummer. Miming is to be distinguished from silent comedy, in which the artist is a seamless character in a film or sketch.  The performance of pantomime originates at its earliest in Ancient Greece; the name is taken from a single masked dancer called Pantomimus.

PEPE LE PEW? IS ZAT YOU, MONSIEUR LE SKUNK?

Pepe Le Pew is one of the many classic character created during the Golden Age of theatrical cartoon.  This is one of the best of examples of the very fine work done by the pioneers in cinematic art, voice characterization by the greatest master of all time, Mel Blanc.  Brilliantly funny!

THE OMNISCIENT and OMNIPOTENT MATRIARCH

OMNIMAT

” “All-Mother” is a philosophy in which the behavior or conduct of an individual and groups of IS-BEs* is adjudicated based on the logical premise that in order to sustain optimum freedom, order and serenity for all IS-BEs, each IS-BE must serve all IS-BEs.   (*IS-BE = Immortal Spiritual Beings, which includes human beings)

This premise is not intended to eliminate disagreements between IS-BEs, but to mitigate destruction or chaotic behavior between them.

“All-Mother” assures the inherent right of an individual IS-BE to approach, depart from, or not interact, with other IS-BEs while maintaining an optimum serenity.

The purpose of The Domain is to defend the right of an individual or group of IS-BEs to create a universe, or not, at their own discretion.

It has been observed that when responsibility for maintaining organization within the co-created universe shared by all IS-BEs is not defended and preserved, each individual IS-BE is deprived of the freedom assured by the power of a collaborative, creative will and combined power.

The Omniscient and Omnipotent Matriarch (abbrev: Omnimat) is an IS-BE who acts as magistrate of The Domain.

Through preeminent power, wisdom and benevolence, Omnimat supervises and enforces the principle of All-Mother within The Domain.
Omnimat does not create, destroy or alter universes.
Omnimat may, or may not, enforce penalties or restrictions upon IS-BEs when violations of the principle of All-Mother occur within The Domain.
The discretion and judgment of Omnimat are inviolate.
Omnimat enforces all judgments.

To the degree that IS-BEs of The Domain do not need or desire admiration, and are not compelled to “play” a game at all times, the power, stability and serenity of The Domain remains relatively stable, when compared to the physical universe.

(The physical universe is, by definition, an infinite, icy void cluttered with random sources of savage energy combined with mindless chunks of matter.  The massive and chaotic construction of the physical universe is utterly antipathetic to the spiritual “nothingness” which is the intelligent source of life forms and of universes.)”
