Excerpts from “1001 Things to do while you’re dead”

1001 Things to do while you're deadEXCERPTS FROM THE BOOK:

1001 THINGS TO DO WHILE YOU’RE DEAD: A Dead Person’s Guide to Living” by Lawrence R. Spencer

AVOID YOUR FUNERAL.

If you are squeamish about autopsies, embalming,  funeral piers, cremation incinerators, worms, bugs or bacteria you may want to stay away until all that messy, bad smelling business is over and done.

However, funeral directors have become quite masterful, over the past 5,000 years, at making a dead body look as good, or better, than it looked when it was alive. A little formaldehyde, a few strategic injections, a little stuffing, nice clothes, cosmetics, a wig and a comfy, silk-lined coffin, your used body can look better than ever!

This is a good reason to stay away as you may be enticed to start thinking about going back. Obviously, it’s too late. Factually, you never were a body and you definitely are not a body now. So stay focused. The future is where the rest of your life will be lived!

PRACTICE BEING CUTE.

If you attended your own funeral you are probably suffering from the loss of having a body. More important, you may be thinking that you don’t really have any identity or personality without having a body. How will anyone recognize you without your body?

Fortunately, bodies are a nickel a million. Five babies are born every second.  So, should you succumb to the ungodly urge to get a new baby body in order to feel a sense of personal identity, you will need to practice being cute.

The only reason people have babies – and keep them – is because they think babies are cute. The same principle applies to all living creatures. So, brush up on looking cute, making cute sounds, doing cute mannerisms, cute smiles, cute laughs, etc..  You’ll need to have your cute skills in top form when and if you get a new body.

FOUNDER OF THE “NEW AGE”

EUGENE FERSEN New Age Baron Eugene Fersen, ‘The Teacher of The Teachers,’ launched in his time the greatest ‘Human Potential Movement’ that would later become the inspiration for what he called, the ‘New Age.’

Baron Eugene Fersen was born November 18th, 1873 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.  He began teaching by the early 1890’s and went to the great beyond on April 24th, 1956.  He was the eldest son of a Grand Duchess of Russia/Poland. His mother knew before his birth that he was to be a guiding light for the people of this World; she called him Svetozar, meaning The Lightbearer. The Baron’s mother saw to it that her son had the proper teachers and education that would assist and support the Absolute Eternal Aspects of his Soul so as to fulfill his divine destiny.  Eugene’s uncle was Count Leo Tolstoy, the writer famously known for his renowned literary works War and Peace and Anna Karenina. Tolstoy was one of Mohandas Gandhi’s greatest influences and friend.

Baron Fersen came to the United States for his second lecture tour in 1904 to share his already popularized teachings and lessons known as the Science Of Being.  From the late 1800s, Eugene’s teachings taught or influenced many of the great thinkers, writers, inventors and leaders of the 19th and 20th centuries.  Here are a few of the highly influential people he taught:

Elizabeth Towne  (Author of The Life Power and How to Use it is shown in the opening sequence of the 2006 movie The Secret. The film presents many of the ideas that she promoted, along with those of Wallace Wattles and William Walker Atkinson.)

Wallace D. Wattles (1860–1911) (The Science Of Getting Rich and The Science Of Being Well)

Edgar Cayce (March 18, 1877 – January 3, 1945) was an American mysticwho possessed the ability to answer questions on subjects as varied as healing, reincarnation, wars, Atlantis and future events while in a trance. Cayce founded a nonprofit organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910),better known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American author and humorist. He wrote The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885),the latter often called “the Great American Novel.”

William Walker Atkinson (December 5, 1862 – November 22, 1932) wrote more than 100 groundbreaking “self-help” books in the last 30 years of his life.  Hewas one of the three Initiates of the *Kybalion: Hermetic Philosophy is a 1908 book claiming to be the essence of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, published under the pseudonym of “The Three Initiates”.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kybalion

LAOTZU, IS THAT YOU?

LAO-TZU, IS THAT YOU ?

Without seeking, one may know all under heaven;

Without finding, one may know the way of heaven.

The wise man knows without searching,

Understands without thinking, accomplishes without acting.

To know when one does not understand is a virtue;

Failing to know that one does not understand is an error.

One becomes more perfect each time an error is corrected.

But One who knows but does not act accordingly, does not know

Be honest with those who are honest. Also be honest

With those who are dishonest; thus is honesty attained.

All beings as basically good. However, prevent those who

do evil from harming others for even they are basically good.

What separates goodness and badness ?

What difference is there between yes and no ?

What distinguishes beauty and ugliness ?

Front and rear join in the center.

Being and non-being are a circle of decision.

The way of heaven conquers without war,

Speaks little but answers well, is always present

Without being summoned, is not rushed but is well planned.

The wise man is skilled in all of his undertakings.

He who is skilled at counting needs no counting devices.

He who is fluid in speech needs no script to guide him.

A man of skill practices skill and conquers reality.

A man who fails practices failure and is conquered.

Walls form and support a room, yet the space between them is most important.

A pot is formed of clay, yet the space formed thereby is most useful.

Action is caused by the force of nothing on something,

just as the nothing of spirit animates the flesh.

One suffers great afflictions because one has a body.

Without a body what afflictions could one suffer?

When one cares more for the body than for the spirit

One becomes the body and looses the way of heaven.

He who looks will not see it; he who listens will not hear it;

He who gropes will not grasp it.

BURY A BODY – GROW A TREE

Bios UrnThe Bios Urn project reintroduces the human being to the natural circle of life. It is the profaine ritual of regeneration and the return to nature. Bios is a mortuary urn made from biodegradable materials: coconut shell, compacted peat and cellulose. Inside it contains the seed of a tree. Once the urn is planted, the seed germinates and begins to grow. The seed can be changed for a different type of seed or plant more adequate to the chosen planting place, if need be.
