VIEWER BEWARE

Republished by Blog Post Promoter

The video clip (below)  is an excellent example of the reason that we cannot trust ANYTHING we see on film, video, television, Facebook, etc. to be “real”.  The art of Computer Generated Imaging (CGI) in the film and television industry is now so highly developed that the viewing audience cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy.  When this technology is applied as intentional disinformation in the hands of those who desire to confuse and control us, let the Viewer beware!  How do we know what is “true”.  How can we determine what is intentional disinformation or propaganda?

Here is a excerpt from the book THE OZ FACTORS that addresses this subject:

“5/ SHE FELL FROM A STAR

“Come out, come out, wherever you are and meet the young lady who fell from a star … “–Glinda sings to the Munchkins in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

False information, less diplomatically stated, could be called lies. Sometimes lies are unintentional. Sometimes lies are intentional. Regardless, false is false, and we need to inspect all the information we receive to ensure that it is not false.

One way to know if information is false is to determine whether the information helps us achieve a workable solution or does it lead toward continued mystery.

Such scrutiny may seem obvious, but few people critically examine information they receive. Whether the information has to do with the meaning of life or how to bake a better chocolate chip cookie, it is wise to put the information to the test before using it to develop any theories or before taking action based upon it.

Logically, before we go skipping down the Yellow Brick Road into the unknown, a few simple precautions might prove useful.

Precaution 1: Does the information contain actual statistics or documented evidence or is it just a broad, sweeping generalized statement?

The morning newspaper headlines have propagandized a recent political effort to take guns away from the citizens with broad, general statements like: “Street gangs are sweeping the country! The youth of America are all killing each other with illegal handguns!”

The Oz Factors, by Lawrence R. Spencer Of course, no violent deaths are acceptable. But, when was the last time you personally observed a street gang shoot-out? Check out the facts: In 1990 there were 971 black youths and 942 white youths under the age of 18 who were victims of homicide in the United States. Hardly an epidemic compared to a total of 9,923 total people killed with handguns in the same year.

By contrast, 12,400 people were killed by accidental falls. So, why don’t the newspapers have headlines about “The Terrible Tragedy of Gravity”?

More than 28,642 people committed suicide in 1990 and 69,225 died of pneumonia or flu. Cigarette smoking was a major killer with 78,380 deaths from emphysema. Meanwhile, in a real, honest-to-god-epidemic, 476,927 people died of cancer! How much effort is being made by the propaganda machines of big government to prevent smoking which is one of the principle causes of cancer?

False information is also spread simply by failing to include all of the correct information or including too much information.

Precaution 2: Does the information help your survival? Is it destructive? Is it just plain upsetting?

Asking the news media to report “the truth” is like asking a fly crawling on a cow pie for an accurate description of the cow. The kind of information we receive from the morning news on television or in newspapers or ‘Time’ magazine is, factually, very often highly spin-doctored, altered and misinterpreted. The so-called “news” is nothing more than a very tiny slice of the most shocking, disastrous, upsetting, tragic, gruesome, inhumane events which these sources painstakingly cut from the relatively large and lovely pie of life.        This “news” is gathered from isolated sources, at great expense and selectively edited using the most sensationally colored prose imaginable. Yet the mainstream media news neglect to report the fact that billions of people and billions of other life forms on this planet are enjoying happy lives–no thanks to them!

Does reading or hearing about every single psychopathic rape/murder/theft/mayhem/disaster that occurs anywhere on the entire planet really improve the quality of your life or happiness? Or is this information you can more happily live without?

             6/ THE RUBY SLIPPERS

“Take special care of those Ruby Slippers. I want those most of all!”–The Wicked Witch of the West in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

Definition: Vested Interest–1/ a survival or non-survival plan or agenda which has been “clothed” to make it seem like something other than what it actually is; 2/ any person, group or entity which prevents or controls communication to serve their own purposes.

Example: Governments control communication between the people of their country. You must get a passport to travel to another country. You must pass through a customs’ inspection in order to enter the country. You must pay taxes (money is a form of communication). You must get a license to get married or go into business.

Example: Religions prevent and control communication between people and the gods, saints and spirits. You have to pay the priest money for him to “bless” you or to “absolve” you of “sin” as a supposed representative of the god(s).

Example: A husband usually tries to prevent communication between his wife and other potential lovers.

What would happen if you could safely communicate with everything and everyone?

Political, religious and financial vested interests, typically, DO NOT want people to answer this question. The reason is simple: if you could safely communicate with anyone or anything, they would be out of business!

Such institutions very frequently determine what we are allowed to believe by feeding us their version of “the truth”. Our “belief” in their version of “the truth” is usually backed up by the threat of death, imprisonment, excommunication or bankruptcy.

All human beings have flesh bodies. Flesh bodies require food, shelter, clothing and as many other goods and creature comforts as one can buy, borrow or pillage. This seems to be a common denominator of survival. It is also a source of illogical thinking which has tended to clog the water mains of our minds with all manner of unspeakable refuse: namely, our vested interest in survival.

Survival requires stuff, and stuff costs money and money takes work. This often means that we must each pretend to “like” someone or “believe” in something–that we could actually care less about–for the sake of “earning a living”.”

IT’S ONLY SEVEN MONTHS UNTIL THE NEW YEAR

ASTRONOMY IS “SIRIUS” BUSINESS

“… meet the young lady who fell from a star. She fell from the sky, she fell very far and Kansas, she says, is the name of the star …” – Glinda in ‘The Wizard of Oz’

“As an Egyptian child 3,000 years ago, you might have asked your mother, “Mommy, where did I come from?” She may have replied, “Well, dear, I think it was from Orion’s Belt.

According to hieroglyphic records, the stars of Orion’s Belt were the symbolic analogy to the “phallus” of the constellation of Orion upon which his sister/wife Isis (the star Sirius) would “rise above Orion” in the sky and “impregnate” herself. The union of these two constellations, gave birth to their “son”, the Egyptian god Horus, the seventh “Divine Ruler” of Egypt.

Celestial orientation was the Egyptian common denominator to an understanding of the Egyptian viewpoint of life on Earth, and life after death. The Egyptian priesthood worshiped the stars. The comings and goings of the gods were monitored by the stars. The calendar of days, holidays, festivals and harvests were determined by the stars. The rising of the star Sirius, also called the “Dog Star” because of its prominent position in the constellation of Canis Major, marked the beginning of the new year and is the entire basis for the Easter celebration as adopted by the Christians centuries after the fall of Egypt. The movements of the star Sirius monitored the entire Egyptian calendar.

MYSTERIOUS SIRIUS375px-Canis_Major_constellation_map.svg

Sirius is actually a double star system. One of the stars is the brightest star in the sky visible from Earth. The other is a dark star, an extremely dense and heavy star, which is entirely invisible to the naked eye. (One teaspoon of matter from this star might weigh thousands of pounds on Earth). The dark star was not detected for the first time until 1970.

The triple star system of Sirius gained international notoriety during the late 1960s. Though never photographed until 1970, the dark star of Sirius was made known to a team of French anthropologists by a remote tribe living near Timbuktu in Northern Africa called the Dogon. The religious leaders of the Dogon knew all about these stars, including, mysteriously:

1/ The exact 50 year repeating pattern of the elliptical orbit of Sirius “B” around Sirius “A”.

2/ Patterns of orbital motion relative to each other (one star periodically blocks the view of the other as they revolve).

3/ The extremely small size, the tremendously dense and heavy mass and invisibility of Sirius “B”.

4/ The existence of the red dwarf star, Sirius “C”, which was not observed for the first time by modern astronomers until 1995.

5/ For more than a thousand years, the Dogon also knew about four other “invisible” bodies in our own solar system; namely, the four major moons of Jupiter which were not acknowledged in Western civilization until Galileo discovered them with his version of the telescope which had been invented the previous year, in 1608, by Hans Lippershey.

A DOGON SIRIUS MYSTERY

How could an obscure tribe of technically backward, uneducated people know so many factual details about a star system of which Western astronomers knew almost nothing?

This relatively primitive tribe of black Africans claimed that their ancestors were priests who had been driven out of Egypt in the very distant past. The secrets of these priests were closely held among the elders of their tribe. They claim that a race of beings with aquatic characteristics descended from a planet in the star system of Sirius. These being were called the “Nomos”. These beings are reported to have brought civilization to Earth about 5,000 years ago and then returned to the Sirius system. The Dogon say that the Nomos will return to Earth. The Dogon say that the detailed information they possess about the Sirius star system was given to them about 5,000 years ago by the beings who came to Earth from Sirius.

Robert TempleThe scientific, cultural, religious, mythological, astronomical and anthropological implications of the knowledge of the Dogon, and of the tremendous significance placed on Sirius by the Egyptian priests, is marvelously documented in the fascinating book by Robert K G Temple entitled, ‘The Sirius Mystery’. This book has inspired other innovative investigators to pick up the trail of the investigation into what was REALLY going on in ancient Egypt.

Egyptology has fascinated scholars and captured popular imagination for thousands of years. Why? Simply because it has been so mysterious!  Subjects that are easily investigated and understood rarely command much attention. And, there are few subjects as full of hidden meanings, esoteric innuendo and misleading anomalies as the hieroglyphic texts and architectural monuments of Egypt.

Despite decades of investigation, the theoretical posturing of Egyptologists have left many of the very basic elements of its mysteries unanswered. For example:

1/ What secret information did the priests of Isis and Osiris NOT share with the uninitiated layman?

2/ What knowledge did the priests and pharaohs possess, which empowered them with control over not only the affairs of state, but the wealth of the richest treasury in the world?

3/ Were the priests hiding something from the rest of the world?

Just as modern Western intelligence agencies have controlled knowledge to protect their special vested interests over the last thousand years, so did the priests of ancient Egypt.

The secret order of priests in Egypt possessed a very, very sophisticated knowledge of mathematics, architecture and astronomy, among other esoteric studies. In fact, most of the rest of the world learned almost everything they knew from Egypt, with the possible exception of the Sumerians, who had already built their own pyramid civilization before the Egyptians ever got started.”

YOU ARE WHAT YOU PRETEND TO BE

Republished by Blog Post Promoter

“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be.”
Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., November 11, 1922 – April 11, 2007) was a 20th-century American writer.[2] His works such as Cat’s Cradle (1963), Slaughterhouse-Five (1969), and Breakfast of Champions (1973) blend satire, gallows humor, and science fiction. As a citizen he was a lifelong supporter of the American Civil Liberties Union and a critical leftist intellectual.[3] He was known for his humanist beliefs and was honorary president of the American Humanist Association.

Vonnegut’s first short story, “Report on the Barnhouse Effect”[34] appeared in the February 11, 1950 edition of Collier’s (it has since been reprinted in his short story collection, Welcome to the Monkey House). His first novel was the dystopian novel Player Piano (1952), in which human workers have been largely replaced by machines. He continued to write short stories before his second novel, The Sirens of Titan, was published in 1959.[35] Through the 1960s, the form of his work changed, from the relatively orthodox structure of Cat’s Cradle (which in 1971 earned him a Master’s Degree) to the acclaimed, semi-autobiographical Slaughterhouse-Five, given a more experimental structure by using time travel as a plot device. These structural experiments were continued in Breakfast of Champions (1973), which includes many rough illustrations, lengthy non-sequiturs and an appearance by the author himself, as a deus ex machina.

Vonnegut attempted suicide in 1984 and later wrote about this in several essays.[36]

Breakfast of Champions became one of his best-selling novels. It includes, in addition to the author himself, several of Vonnegut’s recurring characters. One of them, science fiction author Kilgore Trout, plays a major role and interacts with the author’s character.

In 1974, Venus on the Half-Shell, a book by Philip José Farmer in a style similar to that of Vonnegut and attributed to Kilgore Trout, was published. This caused some confusion among readers, as for some time many assumed that Vonnegut wrote it; when the truth of its authorship came out, Vonnegut was reported as being “not amused”. In an issue of the semi-prozine The Alien Critic/Science Fiction Review, published by Richard E. Geis, Farmer claimed to have received an angry, obscenity-laden telephone call from Vonnegut about it.

In addition to recurring characters, there are also recurring themes and ideas. One of them is ice-nine (a central wampeter in his novel Cat’s Cradle).

Although many of his novels involved science fiction themes, they were widely read and reviewed outside the field, not least due to their anti-authoritarianism. For example, in his seminal short story “Harrison Bergeron” egalitarianism is rigidly enforced by overbearing state authority, engendering horrific repression.

In much of his work, Vonnegut’s own voice is apparent, often filtered through the character of science fiction author Kilgore Trout (whose name is based on that of real-life science fiction writer Theodore Sturgeon). It is characterized by wild leaps of imagination and a deep cynicism, tempered by humanism. In the foreword to Breakfast of Champions, Vonnegut wrote that as a child, he saw men with locomotor ataxia, and it struck him that these men walked like broken machines; it followed that healthy people were working machines, suggesting that humans are helpless prisoners of determinism. Vonnegut also explored this theme in Slaughterhouse-Five, in which protagonist Billy Pilgrim “has come unstuck in time” and has so little control over his own life that he cannot even predict which part of it he will be living through from minute to minute. Vonnegut’s well-known phrase “So it goes”, used ironically in reference to death, also originated in Slaughterhouse-Five. “Its combination of simplicity, irony, and rue is very much in the Vonnegut vein.”[32]

With the publication of his novel Timequake in 1997, Vonnegut announced his retirement from writing fiction. He continued to write for the magazine In These Times, where he was a senior editor,[37] until his death in 2007, focusing on subjects ranging from contemporary U. S. politics to simple observational pieces on topics such as a trip to the post office. In 2005, many of his essays were collected in a new bestselling book titled A Man Without a Country, which he insisted would be his last contribution to letters.[38]

An August 2006 article reported:

He has stalled finishing his highly anticipated novel If God Were Alive Today — or so he claims. “I’ve given up on it… It won’t happen… The Army kept me on because I could type, so I was typing other people’s discharges and stuff. And my feeling was, ‘Please, I’ve done everything I was supposed to do. Can I go home now?’ That’s what I feel right now. I’ve written books. Lots of them. Please, I’ve done everything I’m supposed to do. Can I go home now?”
