GO TOO FAR

Albert Camus (1913 – 1960) was a French Nobel Prize winning author, journalist, and philosopher, described as the ″James Dean of philosophy″.  Throughout his life, Camus spoke out against and actively opposed Totalitarianism in its many forms. Early on, Camus was active within the French Resistance to the German occupation of France during World War II, even directing the famous Resistance journal, Combat. On the French collaboration with Nazi occupiers he wrote: “Now the only moral value is courage, which is useful here for judging the puppets and chatterboxes who pretend to speak in the name of the people.”

Camus presents the reader with dualisms such as happiness and sadness, dark and light, life and death, etc. He emphasizes the fact that happiness is fleeting and that the human condition is one of mortality; for Camus, this is cause for a greater appreciation for life and happiness. In Le Mythe, dualism becomes a paradox: we value our own lives in spite of our mortality and in spite of the universe’s silence. While we can live with a dualism (I can accept periods of unhappiness, because I know I will also experience happiness to come), we cannot live with the paradox (I think my life is of great importance, but I also think it is meaningless). In Le Mythe, Camus investigates our experience of the Absurd and asks how we live with it. Our life must have meaning for us to value it. If we accept that life has no meaning and therefore no value, should we kill ourselves?

Chain of Life

The Italian photographer, Angelo Musco, evokes the primordial essence of biological survival through his prodigeously meticulous photo shoots of hundreds of naked bodies, linked in chains and configurations that suggest procreation of the species of Man.  This is a fitting tribute and summary statement for the Spring Equinox, a time in the life cycle on Earth that invites and entices sexual interchange in nearly all species of life.  Enjoy the creation!  Enjoy the sensation!  Enjoy the myriad forms of Life!  However, do not forget that EVERY life form is animated by an eternal flame, the Spiritual Essence that is the true Source and Spark of Life.   The Spirit, animating the form IS Life!!

HOODWINKED MINDS

Republished by Blog Post Promoter

“When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, “This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,” the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything — you can’t conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.”

If This Goes On (1940) by Robert Anson Heinlein (7 July 1907 – 8 May 1988) was one of the most popular, influential, and controversial authors of science fiction of the 20th Century.

GUNS: THE ESSENCE OF AMERICA

Republished by Blog Post Promoter

Since I was a kid growing up in the 1950s guns were promoted as THE toy to own and “play” with.  America is country built on guns.  The invaders of the American continents from European countries we able to kill and enslave all of the indigenous population because they possessed and used one thing:  GUNS.  Americans WORSHIP guns.  A gigantic number of movies, TV shows, books, etc. glorify the use of guns.  Killing with guns is an entertainment.  Killing with guns is a sport.  Guns are power.  Power is “good”.  Killing with guns is the RELIGION of the United States of America.  The right to own and use guns to kill anything and everything that moves is guaranteed in the Constitution of The United States of America.  The US also spends more than 2/3rds of every tax dollar on the military.  So, if you are “shocked” by the use of guns to massacre small children in classrooms of America, you are either an idiot or a hypocrite, or both.  What goes around, comes around.

TRANSCEND TIME

Republished by Blog Post Promoter

The ageless Redwood forests in Northern California are the most serene place on Earth. More than 90% of the original trees — many more than 2,000 years old — where chopped down by private profiteers to satisfy the money lust of bankers.  They used the stolen trees to build houses for ignorant European immigrants who murdered and plundered the land and legacy of 100 million Indigenous Natives who had lived in harmony with Nature for untold thousands of years.   Alas, these immigrants are so selfish and stupid that when they die it is “illegal” to donate their dead body to be used as fertilizer for new growth in a timeless forest!  The Indigenous Natives and Redwood Forests are virtually extinct only 500 years after the European immigrants “discovered” them.  Soon, the banksters and private profiteers will slaughter the immigrants.  Karma kills killers. Good riddance to death…. Time heals all.
