Monument lifted from Cleopatra's underwater city

HISTORY BUFF IS GOING TO SCANDINAVIA!

That's right! Because where else would you rather be in the winter than Copenhagen where it's -2 degrees?

Since the hubby and I have always wanted to see Viking treasures, Hamlet's castle, and the Christmas markets in Sweden, we're leaving for a little trip abroad. We'll be touring Scandinavia, and then going to Switzerland for some Alpine skiing (okay, I'll be doing Alpine hot-chocolate drinking, but everyone else will be skiing...). Ancient Amazon civilisation laid bare by felled forest

Ancient Mediterranean flood mystery solved

Research has revealed details of the catastrophic Zanclean flood that refilled the Mediterranean Sea more than five million years ago. The flood occurred when Atlantic waters found their way into the cut-off and desiccated Mediterranean basin.
