Book Giveaway and Radio Appearance

I wanted to let you know about something I’m doing soon…

I am going to appear on ‘A WOMAN’S SPIRIT’ – the radio show. It is an empowering, enriching, 1-hour program, for women. Men are welcome too. Briefly, let me describe the show. It is a laid back, quiet space, located smack dab in the middle of a week that sometimes consists of chaos. You get the picture ...this show is something you need, an experience you can use to re-charge. I must tell you, the show’s host, Ms. Vanecia Wills-Leufroy has the most lovely cadence to her voice. I often listen to her while I write. Her rich deep vocal tones remind me of cacao and cream, or of the jazz diva Sarah Vaughn’s extraordinary singing voice, and this host connects with her audience. She feels them, and they her! I like that. Check out the show and you just might agree. Oh, and trust me to liken anything — even a person’s voice — to food!

However, to get back on track, on ‘A WOMAN’S SPIRIT' we will host a two-book giveaway for my latest novel.

It is called Turnabout. For those of you who don’t know, Turnabout is a love story, but it is not just about the lovers. Their family, friends, and even those whom only a mama can love, are all entwined in this must-read.

Readers Paradise - Review of TURNABOUT- by April Alisa Marquette

Who said all is fair in love and war…… Life and love would be much simpler if we could navigate our hearts without the excess baggage. But unfortunately the heart and head reside in the same body hence the conflict of emotions when it comes to love. Abigail’s current choice for a love interest is not deserving of her affections according to Joseph. Who believes his love for her is 100%, but also doesn’t believe he is good enough but better than her current. Time is also a factor when it comes to matters of the heart, but not something under our control. What we can control is our actions and what we do in the meantime. Joseph and Abigail understand that matters of the heart's strongest ally is time and what’s important. I love how God gives us what we need when He feels we need it. He sends angels into Abigail’s life during her time of lost; pain finds a place in the middle of her world. Trouble takes on the name of Mr. Darre but love is found over and over again in the name of Joseph. Darre totally reminded me of the devil. He constantly caused issues for Joseph and Abigail, and like the devil when they were at their lowest he turned the heat up. Turnabout was an amazing story of love, death, redemption and second chances. I truly enjoyed this story it was an honest look at how people can get in the way of love.

Answering A Question

A reader asked if I'm working on a new book. I sure am! I'm working on a few actually. I am putting the finishing touches on one, and am in the final stages of editing another. Yet, the one I'd like to tell you about is a great semi-traditional romance. Finally!

It's called ...TURNABOUT... (adult fiction), and it showcases a woman who happens to be involved with a pop music producer. However, another man won't leave her alone...

I can't wait to hear what readers think! It'll be available by early summer 2010. Well, I'd better get back to work. Just wanted to chat a minute.
