final farewell
FAKING IT TO MAKING IT is done and dusted. I won't get to see it again til it hits bookshelves this August! But it was such fun reading it again. Saskia and Nate were awesome company. When the hero looks quite a bit like this guy, you won't hear a complain from me!Come Monday I get back to my current couple who are - so far - treating me remarkably well! (Now of course I've said that out loud my muse will make me pay!)
But till then, the big fabulous Australian Romance Readers Convention book-signing hits Brisbane tomorrow! Soooo looking forward to the buzz of all that glorious shiny book love in one room!!! Bring your dog-eared favourites; for an author with a pen in hand, they're the absolute best.

book-signing this Saturday!
The Australian Romance Readers Convention hits my home town this weekend! There are panels galore to enjoy with talks by bestselling Australian and International authors. I'm super excited to be a part of Saturday's book-signing, as last year's on the Gold Coast was super fun! So many lovely readers to meet and chat with about romance novels. This from the ARRA website:
Book-signing event The book-signing event at ARRC2013 is on the Saturday (2 March), running from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. It will be held in the Terrace Rooms at the Mercure Hotel. Tickets for the signing are also now on sale. Entry is free for ARRC2013 delegates. There will be a $10 entry fee for members of the general public ($7.50 for ARRA members). ARRA members who are attending the signing only should be sure to bring their membership card with them, so they can buy a ticket at the discounted rate. Hope to see you there! AllyxXx

author alterations
Right now I'm working on my author alterations for
FAKING IT TO MAKING IT
. Author alterations are the author's last chance to make any changes to a book before it heads out into the big wide world! Nerve-wracking huh?
And yet so much fun. Especially as by this stage I haven't seen the book for a few months and no longer feel ill reading it for the zillionth time. It's a little fresh, a little forgotten, a little surprising, and a big relief at that!
These AA's are particularly enjoyable, as this book was on such a tight deadline I was't sure I'd get to see them at all, so imagine my sigh of relief when they landed in my inbox!
Queue even more relief as this book was sold without a jot of revisions. Not one. Sounds awesome right? Unfortunately, in author world, that clearly means "oh my god they forgot to read it, as no revisions is, like, a total myth, and bought it anyway and what if its complete rubbish!!!"
And yet...so far so good ;).

I love animals in books. Give me a great literary dog and I'm yours. So I'm so excited that I was asked to be the inaugural blogger for the Pink Heart Society's new monthly column, Pets and Their Authors!
I live in a menagerie within a leafy suburb riddled with wildlife and we ain't done yet - what with the backyard to handle it, a love of fish and fur and flying things, and a husband who loves them even more. So it was great fun to talk about the pets of my life, now and then.And I didn't even get to these little fellows scattered about the garden!
