Sounds of the Season:
Combine one of my favorite carols, one of my favorite artists and a lot of Victorian cinema conventions and you have pretty much my favorite holiday music video.

Holiday Wish List

It's that time of year again.
 My year has improved a great deal over last year.
We're not out of the woods yet, but husband has a job and I have one I like better that pays much better.

 There are always things we need, but I am using this for things I would like:

 1) Blog readers. Either for http://angelsparrow.blogspot.com or for the business blog at http://inkstainedsuccubus.blogspot.com or even my LJ, Pinterest and Tumblr (valarltd). The LJ gets Friday Photodumps, the blogspot gets My Sexy Saturdays.

 2) Book Readers. A small press is nothing without readers. Inkstained Succubus is bringing out good Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, often with a same-sex theme. We have short stories, anthologies and novels.

 3) Writers, voice actors and artists. Again an Inkstained Succubus wish. If you have a story (original, no fanfiction) gathering dust, or if you'd like to have your art on the cover of a book, check out submission guidelines and drop us a note. We're looking to start recording audiobooks, and need male voices in particular. We are a paying press.

 4) Etsy shoppers. https://www.etsy.com/shop/valarltd

 5) Fan art. Preferably from my original stuff (I love Eight Thrones fan art and geekery), but also from my fanfic. I have a drawing of my lion, Gordon, from "Songs for Guitar and French Harp" that makes me very happy.

Material things

 6) Crochet hooks. Any size, any number. I put fimo handles on them for Etsy

 7) Yarn. Any amount, any type. I will use it. I knit all winter to keep my fingers limber

 8) BPAL. If you have imps you don't love, I will give them a try, and if they don't work, I'll pass them on to another loving home.

 9) The care package seems to be the the thing this year.

 10) If you have a tarot deck that isn't working for you anymore, I'd love to give it a good home. (I have Robin Wood, Celtic, Dark Angels, Fantastic Creatures and Cthulhu)

Giving Back:

 11) Donate Blood if you can. There is always a need.

 12) Register to be an organ donor or bone marrow donor. (I'm both)

 13) Leave comments on social media, not just likes or hearts or kudos. In the same vein, send a fan letter to an author, fanfic or original. It will make their day.

 14) Give to the charity of your choice. My favorites include Toys for Tots, Project Linus and the Hunger Site. Food stamps just got cut, so many food pantries are more strapped than usual.

 And 15 My gift to you: My cookbook. http://www.brooksandsparrow.com/inangelskitchen.pdf

My Sexy Saturday: Our Sexy Little Words

So this week show us all the sexy moments from when your characters are making love, before or after because each and every one of them is sexy and hot and oh…can we fan ourselves now?

Candle in the Dark is five winter holiday stories. Christmas, Yule, New Year's, etc. In "Welcome Winter" we see how another planet celebrates their winter solstice, and Hevik Montag gets a little bit of warmth in the cold of space.

~~~From "Welcome Winter" in Candle in the Dark
He wiped them up with a corner of the sheet and let Sindri nestle into his arms. “You took a big chance coming here with me, so I'll take a big one on you. Stay. Just sleep in my arms all night.” He nuzzled Sindri's hair.
Sindri licked his neck. “I guess it's true what they say about spacers then?”
“Heard a lot. What are you thinking of?”
“That you want the touch and cuddle as much as the climax. Most men would have already shoved me away. Stones, half would have thrown me out half-naked when I finished sucking.”
“Some men aren’t worth exhaust fumes.” Hevik tucked Sindri into his shoulder and wrapped his arms firmly around the warm body. His stomach growled.
“Didn't get enough at the feast?” Sindri gave him a grin. “Let me call out. I know the best leovi flatbread in town.” After a fast call, he curled back into Hevik's arms. “My treat tonight. You can buy next time.”
Hevik just shrugged. He'd already mentioned he lifted in the morning. He listened to Sindri talk, about work, about winter, about whatever. The guy had a nice voice, pretty high, but definitely a man's when he wasn't being Sparkle. It was nice just to be close.
Go see the other lovely authors!
Sounds of the Season:
Before we're all sick of it, this is one of my favorites.
Craft idea:
Crocheters love their craft, but often, the hooks make our hands hurt. Fimo clay on the handles helps a lot. And as always, you can get creative. Follow the directions on the package.
Do it in the user's favorite color: IMG_0882
Or get geeky:
Yuletide Youtube: Tasty Tuesday, Gingerbread Edition
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I'll post recipes for the holidays. Wednesdays and Fridays get crafts. This morning, I have caffeine and a warm kitty curled up under my afghan and purring against my toes.
Sounds of the Season:
 This is the Year of Acapella, so before we're all rum-pa-pum-pummelled into scroogery, here's Pentatonix doing my second-favorite version of "Little Drummer Boy." (Don't worry, Bowie and der Bingle are coming soon)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
 Add 1 c. hot water and beat until smooth. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake 35 minutes at 325° to 350° or until done.
 And this is my favorite for cut-outs
