Giveaway: Steampunk Heart Necklace by @19moons

As soon as I saw this necklace, I knew I had to buy it for some lucky winner.

If you take a close look at the cover for LADY DOCTOR WYRE, you'll see that she's wearing a necklace.  That necklace is the key to keeping Sig alive.

As her creations returned to their origin, the locket seemed to catch fire between them, molten metal searing her breast. Too tiny for her human eyes to see, her assemblers crawled out of his pores and cells. All year long, she wore the locket against her skin, allowing her body heat and life energy to infuse the battery cells within, so that if he ever needed a jolt, all he had to do was reach her. She'd also programmed her assemblers to emit alarms if his life energy ever ran too low, so even if he were too injured or weakened, she'd always be able to find him.

While she would mourn his death, she had an ulterior motive for such a detail—the tiny nanobots could never be allowed to fall into enemy hands.

I think I just summarized several Amanda Quick plots!  I'm pretty sure I have a whole bookshelf of her delightful Regencies somewhere.  Or maybe you like the traditional Regencies.  Our hometown library had a huge shelf of them and I'm pretty sure I read them all.

Revision Month

Since I've already worked on two revisions/edits this month, I decided to spend the last week of March working on……

Tomorrow while doing our weekly mountain of laundry, I'll be making a final pass through Yours to Take prior to submission.  I have a few backstory-type things that beta readers recommended or commented on that I want to weave in, and then of course I need to write the synopsis.  Hopefully I can submit by the end of the month.

I've also been brainstorming another short Chinese novella, and I have Phantom waiting not so patiently in the wings.

There have been some developments at Drollerie that affect the release of Return to Shanhasson.  Once I have more details about the timing, I'll post the information here.  The good news is that the edits are done, so it's just a matter of formatting, cover art, etc. which are not small undertakings.  I know you've been waiting a very long time for the third and final chapter of Shannari's story, so please hang in there!

Free Read: Lady Wyre's Regret

I've already posted the entire short story as "Friday Snippets" here on the blog, but here's the free read compiled into a single file.  Several of you indicated interest in continuing the story about Lady Wyre's "assassination," soI hope to continue writing parts of this prequel over the next few months.
