Claimed…the first book in the Brides of the Kindred Series is now out.

One of the great pleasures of writing science fiction is the opportunity to start from scratch and make up new worlds and the people that inhabit them. In Claimed, the first book of the the Brides of the Kindred series, Smashwords http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/... and Amazon Kindle http://www.tinyfav.com/b5a09284/I am introducing a race of genetic traders who have traveled the universe for centuries looking for viable matches to expand their gene pool. Since a genetic anomaly ensures that their population is ninety-five percent male, they are specifically looking for women.

The three genetic trades the Kindred have already made have resulted in three very specific types of men. But though they take on some of the physical characteristics of the race they are trading with, the Kindred gene always ensures three things: physical prowess, extremely large and muscular body structure, and undying loyalty to the female of their choice.

Beast Kindred come from Rageron—a jungle planet full of beautiful but deadly flora and fauna. They have dark hair, golden eyes, and hot tempers but their most defining characteristic is the mating fist. The mating fist is an area at the base of the Beast Kindred's shaft which engages fully only during bonding sex with his chosen mate. This ensures sex that is both tantric and multiorgasmic for both partners.

Blood Kindred are blond with pale blue eyes and come from Tranq Prime where ice, snow, and arctic-like temperatures are the norm. To combat the severe weather conditions, the Blood Kindred have higher than normal body heat with double the human amount of red blood cells. They have developed specific biting rituals to share their supercharged blood and take the blood of their mates during their own version of bonding sex. They have a set of double fangs located where a human's canine teeth would be. These fangs do not develop fully or become sharp enough to pierce flesh until a Blood Kindred is with a woman he wishes to mate and bond with.

Twin Kindred come from Twin Moons—a world of vast, stormy oceans dotted with craggy but beautiful islands. True to their namesake, Twin Kindred always come in pairs. The brothers are not identical, however. There is always a light twin and a dark twin. These labels refer not just to skin, hair, and eye coloring but to the twin's moods and perceptions of the world. The dark twin in the pair is usually more moody and withdrawn while the light twin takes a substantially brighter view of life. The twins are psychicly linked and able to hear and sense each other's thoughts and emotions. They cannot be separated by long distances or for long periods of time without severe pain. They must also share a woman, linking her into their mental and emotional exchange for very intense ménage sex.

In all their years of travel the Kindred have come across only three worlds with species close enough to their own to initiate a trade.

Earth is the fourth.

Here is a blurb for Brides of the Kindred 1–Claimed It's out right now at Smashwords http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/...

and Amazon Kindle http://www.tinyfav.com/b5a09284/

Brides of the Kindred 1–Claimed

Olivia Waterhouse has just graduated from nursing school and has her whole life ahead of her—until she gets drafted. Problem is, she isn't being forced into the Army, she's been chosen as a Kindred bride.

The Kindred are huge alien warriors—a race of genetic traders whose population is ninety-five percent male. After saving Earth from the threat of invasion they demand a reward—the right to find brides among the population. The chances of being chosen are about the same as those of winning the lottery—guess it's just Liv's lucky day.

Baird is a Beast Kindred who recently escaped imprisonment and torture at the hands of the malevolent Scourge. Through the torment and pain only one thing kept him sane—the thought of finding and claiming his bride—Olivia. His need to possess her is a burning intensity that threatens to consume them both.

Angry at having her future and her family taken away from her, Liv vows to fight back the only way she can—by resisting. She has one month on the Kindred Mothership with Baird—their claiming period. If she can keep from having bonding sex with him during that time, she can go home and get on with her life on Earth.

But Baird isn't going to make it easy for her. Every week he is allowed to touch Liv more and more intimately and according to the contract she signed, she has to let him. She's determined to resist him but his touch sets her on fire. And just as she thinks she knows what she wants, a twist of fate and an attack by the faceless Scourge AllFather changes everything…

And here's a naughty little excerpt to get you hot and bothered…

CLAIMED EXCERPT

"Here we are." Baird's deep voice startled her out of her internal daze and Liv looked up to see that he was gesturing to a plain silver door. As he motioned it slid inwards with a soft swoosh revealing a dark space of indeterminate size.

Liv looked up at him nervously. "This is it?"

He nodded. "The back entrance, anyway. Brought you this way so no other male could see you." He eyed her hungrily again and Liv pulled his dark crimson shirt closer around her body, as though it could shield her from the desire in his eyes.

"Uh, looks nice," she said, making no move to go in. The dark room or rooms he was indicating were suddenly looking pretty scary. She had the feeling that if she was in a horror movie right now the people in the audience would be screaming "Don't go in there!" at the top of their lungs.

"Well?" Baird gestured again, obviously waiting for her to precede him but still Liv hung back.

"Uh…I think I forgot something on the ship," she said, backing away. "Do you mind if I go get it?"

"You didn't bring anything to forget." There was a definite hint of impatience in the deep, growling voice. "Are you coming in or not?"

"I choose not." Liv shook her head. "I just…I don't think so. No thanks."

Baird looked at her with obvious disbelief. "You have to come in—this is where I live. Where else would you stay?"

"Um—well, do you guys have guest rooms or anything like that? I mean, it's a big ship so you must have someplace else, right?" Liv was feeling more and more nervous and it wasn't just the fact that he was big and dangerous and scary looking. She had a feeling that if she went into his suite, that she might not come out again as the same person. That somehow being near him twenty-four/seven for the next month would change her, make her lose control.

"Olivia, you can't stay in the guest quarters. You're my bride and this is our claiming period." The big warrior was practically growling with impatience. "What's the problem?"

"How can you ask me that?" she flared at him, crossing her arms protectively over her chest. "You stand there staring at me like I'm an antelope and you're a really hungry lion and you've told me about twelve times how you can't wait to get me in bed, or up against the wall, or anywhere at all for that matter. And now you want to know why I'm scared to go into a dark room and be alone with you? What do you think I am—crazy?"

He blew out a breath and ran a hand through his thick black hair. "I can't believe this. Haven't I told you I would never hurt you?"

Liv frowned up at him. "Yeah, well, I'm not sure about your definition of 'hurt.' I mean, forced sex isn't always painful but just because it doesn't hurt doesn't mean it isn't rape."

"Is that what you think of me? That I want to take you by force?" He swooped down on her suddenly, eyes blazing a molten gold. Liv backed up but before she knew it she was pinned against one cold metal wall with his thick, muscular arms on either side of her and his face inches from hers.

"Well what am I supposed to think?" she demanded, hoping her voice didn't tremble too much.

"You can think whatever you want, Olivia, but you should know one thing." He leaned even closer, his hot breath stirring her hair as he murmured in her ear. "When I take you—because I will take you—make no mistake about that," he said, cutting off her protest. "When I do, I promise you'll want it every bit as bad as I do. You'll beg for it, Linlenta. Beg to have my cock inside you, filling you up as I bond you to me forever."

A Match Made in Heaven…Forbidden from Loose id

It's more than a little kinky but if you like forbidden love, check out my new book from loose id. Find it www.loose-id.com/Forbidden.aspx

Micah and Ariel are angels and soul mates created to guard the throne room of the Almighty in Heaven. They are incomplete without each other and cannot bear to be apart. But Heaven is under attack and the forces of Hell have a plan to separate them — by putting them together.Using an infernal sword called the Reever, Lucifer, Prince of Demons, strips the souls of the doomed angels and sends them down to Earth to live as humans. But the moment they come together again in love and passion, they will be free of their Earthly forms and regain their celestial bodies. Knowing this, Lucifer plots to have them sent into the bodies of siblings — Owen and Leah DeMarko.

Growing up with no knowledge of their origins, Owen and Leah are close until Leah suddenly blossoms into womanhood. Then, fearing his unnatural attraction to her, Owen cuts his beloved little sister abruptly out of his life.

So begins an epic struggle between right and wrong, desire and illicit love. For Owen and Leah know nothing of their former lives as angels or the war that rages between Heaven and Hell. They only know they must not give in to what they feel for each other for their love is forever…Forbidden.

Publisher's Note: Although Owen and Leah are not related by blood, because of the perceived illicitness of their desire for each other, some readers, particularly those with a history of sexual abuse or incest, may find this story disturbing.

Start the New Year with a hot new M/M novel…Forever Broken

Hey guys, Whew, it's been a looooong time since I had a new release so I'm really excited to announce that my M/M book, Forever Broken, is now out from Ellora's Cave. It's a hot tale of forbidden love so why not ring in the New Year right and check it out here

                          http://www.jasminejade.com/p-8936-forever-broken.aspx

And here's a blurb and a hot excerpt you won't find on the Ellora's Cave website to heat up your New Year's Eve. Hugs to everyone! Evangeline Anderson

            Forever Broken

            By Evangeline Anderson

            Coming December 31st 2010 from Ellora's Cave

As second wolf in the Lunas Locas pack, Paul Kraskowski has power and prestige. But he also has a dark secret—one he hides and won't admit it even to himself—until the night he meets Laurent.

Born to one of the oldest families of his kind, Laurent Montcrieve is vampire royalty. He stands to inherit massive wealth and the title Viscount of the Blood. But he would give it all up to find the one man who can complete him—his Coeur de Sang or Heart's Blood.

Two worlds collide when Laurent and Paul meet and form an accidental blood bond. But the instant spark between them ignites a raging bonfire of conflict. Their people are enemies who would rather see them dead than together and Paul refuses to admit his attraction to another man. Now the clock is ticking as they go on a quest to explore what lies between them. Their search may end in true love or death. But they must be careful for if they sever the tie that binds them together the bond they share will be Forever Broken.

            EXCERPT—

When he came to himself again he was in a dim, cool room on a lumpy king sized bed. Paul was bending over him with a glass in his hand. "Here, try some of this."

Laurent sipped obediently but the cold water did little to slake his thirst. Instead, it made him aware of how terribly thirsty he really was, setting his throat on fire with need. Moaning, he pushed the glass way. "No help. Makes it…worse."

Paul frowned and set the glass down on the night table with a thump that slopped water over the side. "Water isn't what you need, is it?"

                        Mutely, Laurent shook his head.

                        "What then?"

"You know…what." The words were so hard to get out. He closed his eyes again, wanting to drift back to oblivion but Paul snapped his fingers in front of his face.

"Hey, stay with me. So you need blood, right?"

                        Laurent nodded.

"All right." Paul stood up. "I'll find you a hooker. Don't know where at this time of day but there's bound to be one around somewhere who won't mind you snacking on her if the price is right." He turned to go and Laurent mustered the strength to say something.

                        "Wait."

"What?" Paul frowned and sat beside him on the bed. "You shouldn't try to talk, 'mano. You're too weak."

"Dying. Don't want…to be alone." Laurent reached for his hand and was surprised and gratified when Paul allowed the touch and even gripped his fingers tightly.

"Don't talk like that. You're not dying. I told you, I'll get you a blood donor—"

"Other blood…no good. The bond…need…" Laurent couldn't go on but Paul went very still and from the look on his face, he understood.

"Dios, you need my blood. Is that what you're trying to say?"

                        Laurent nodded. "Forgive me…the bond…you are the only…only one…"

"The bond hooks us together and makes me the only one you can drink from?" Paul frowned. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Couldn't." Laurent shook his head. "You don't…don't have to feed me. Just…just stay with me. Don't want to…be alone."

"Dios, Laurent. Of course I have to feed you. What the fuck? You think I'm going to let you die?" A mixture of worry and anger radiated from Paul like heat.

"Thought you said…not a blood donor."

The wolf sighed. "Looks like I'll be making another exception." He pulled his shirt over his head and started to lean over and offer Laurent his neck. The scent of warm fur and spice and leather was strong, making Laurent's mouth water and his cock hard. Mon Dieu. Want you, mon amour. Need you so much…

But just as his fangs were elongating in anticipation Paul pulled away.

Laurent moaned softly. Surely the were would not be so cruel. Better to die knowing there was no help than to be offered what he needed—Paul's life giving blood—and have it withdrawn at the last instant.

"Wait a second." Paul was frowning. "Sorry, I know you're hungry. But look, I don't want you biting me where anyone else can see the marks. I had a hell of a time explaining your last little love bite and I don't want to go back home looking like you've been using me as a fucking pin cushion."

"Inner wrist?" Laurent looked hopefully at the other man's muscular forearms. "Elbow?"

Paul shook his head. "No good. I'd have to wear a long sleeved shirt. And nobody would believe it was because I was cold. Not in fucking Miami."

"No," Laurent agreed faintly. He was rapidly running out of hope. "Thigh?" he asked, knowing that Paul was bound to refuse. But aside from the neck, the inner thigh offered the best access to large blood vessels.

Paul looked worried for a moment but then he stood up and began shoving off his jeans. "Fine. But no fucking funny business."

                        Laurent nodded. "Of course not."

"All right then." Paul stepped out of his jeans, pushing his shoes and socks off along with them. He was nude and his shaft was already half hard—a sight that Laurent was careful not to stare at. "Sorry." Paul's voice was gruff with embarrassment. "I, uh, usually go commando."

"It's all right." Laurent patted the bed beside him hopefully. "Please."

"Yeah, fine." Paul settled himself carefully at the top of the bed, leaning back against the headboard. "Can you, uh, reach me?"

"Yes." The warm, wild scent was filling his senses again and with it, Laurent found a small measure of strength. He felt like a man in the desert crawling toward a small oasis but he managed to position himself between Paul's spread legs with only a little clumsy maneuvering. Hovering over the were's inner thigh, he opened his mouth and felt his fangs slide completely into place.

"Uh, is this gonna hurt?" Paul was eyeing his fangs warily. "I mean, the first time I was so out of it."

"No pain," Laurent promised him. His vampiric senses were working, whispering of the rich femoral artery pulsing deep beneath the surface of Paul's tanned skin. "Only pleasure."

                        "Okay, only—"

                        Laurent bit.

            Forever Broken

            By Evangeline Anderson

            Coming December 31st 2010 from Ellora’s Cave

As second wolf in the Lunas Locas pack, Paul Kraskowski has power and prestige. But he also has a dark secret—one he hides and won’t admit it even to himself—until the night he meets Laurent.

Born to one of the oldest families of his kind, Laurent Montcrieve is vampire royalty. He stands to inherit massive wealth and the title Viscount of the Blood. But he would give it all up to find the one man who can complete him—his Coeur de Sang or Heart’s Blood.

“Here, try some of this.”

Laurent sipped obediently but the cold water did little to slake his thirst. Instead, it made him aware of how terribly thirsty he really was, setting his throat on fire with need. Moaning, he pushed the glass way. “No help. Makes it…worse.”

Paul frowned and set the glass down on the night table with a thump that slopped water over the side. “Water isn’t what you need, is it?”

                        Mutely, Laurent shook his head.

                        “What then?”

“You know…what.” The words were so hard to get out. He closed his eyes again, wanting to drift back to oblivion but Paul snapped his fingers in front of his face.

“Hey, stay with me. So you need blood, right?”

                        Laurent nodded.

“All right.” Paul stood up. “I’ll find you a hooker. Don’t know where at this time of day but there’s bound to be one around somewhere who won’t mind you snacking on her if the price is right.” He turned to go and Laurent mustered the strength to say something.

                        “Wait.”

“What?” Paul frowned and sat beside him on the bed. “You shouldn’t try to talk, ‘mano. You’re too weak.”

“Dying. Don’t want…to be alone.” Laurent reached for his hand and was surprised and gratified when Paul allowed the touch and even gripped his fingers tightly.

“Don’t talk like that. You’re not dying. I told you, I’ll get you a blood donor—”

“Other blood…no good. The bond…need…” Laurent couldn’t go on but Paul went very still and from the look on his face, he understood.

“Dios, you need my blood. Is that what you’re trying to say?”

                        Laurent nodded. “Forgive me…the bond…you are the only…only one…”

“The bond hooks us together and makes me the only one you can drink from?” Paul frowned. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Couldn’t.” Laurent shook his head. “You don’t…don’t have to feed me. Just…just stay with me. Don’t want to…be alone.”

“Dios, Laurent. Of course I have to feed you. What the fuck? You think I’m going to let you die?” A mixture of worry and anger radiated from Paul like heat.

“Thought you said…not a blood donor.”

The wolf sighed. “Looks like I’ll be making another exception.” He pulled his shirt over his head and started to lean over and offer Laurent his neck. The scent of warm fur and spice and leather was strong, making Laurent’s mouth water and his cock hard. Mon Dieu. Want you, mon amour. Need you so much…

But just as his fangs were elongating in anticipation Paul pulled away.

Laurent moaned softly. Surely the were would not be so cruel. Better to die knowing there was no help than to be offered what he needed—Paul’s life giving blood—and have it withdrawn at the last instant.

“Wait a second.” Paul was frowning. “Sorry, I know you’re hungry. But look, I don’t want you biting me where anyone else can see the marks. I had a hell of a time explaining your last little love bite and I don’t want to go back home looking like you’ve been using me as a fucking pin cushion.”

“Inner wrist?” Laurent looked hopefully at the other man’s muscular forearms. “Elbow?”

Paul shook his head. “No good. I’d have to wear a long sleeved shirt. And nobody would believe it was because I was cold. Not in fucking Miami.”

“No,” Laurent agreed faintly. He was rapidly running out of hope. “Thigh?” he asked, knowing that Paul was bound to refuse. But aside from the neck, the inner thigh offered the best access to large blood vessels.

Paul looked worried for a moment but then he stood up and began shoving off his jeans. “Fine. But no fucking funny business.”

                        Laurent nodded. “Of course not.”

“All right then.” Paul stepped out of his jeans, pushing his shoes and socks off along with them. He was nude and his shaft was already half hard—a sight that Laurent was careful not to stare at. “Sorry.” Paul’s voice was gruff with embarrassment. “I, uh, usually go commando.”

“It’s all right.” Laurent patted the bed beside him hopefully. “Please.”

“Yeah, fine.” Paul settled himself carefully at the top of the bed, leaning back against the headboard. “Can you, uh, reach me?”

“Yes.” The warm, wild scent was filling his senses again and with it, Laurent found a small measure of strength. He felt like a man in the desert crawling toward a small oasis but he managed to position himself between Paul’s spread legs with only a little clumsy maneuvering. Hovering over the were’s inner thigh, he opened his mouth and felt his fangs slide completely into place.

“Uh, is this gonna hurt?” Paul was eyeing his fangs warily. “I mean, the first time I was so out of it.”

“No pain,” Laurent promised him. His vampiric senses were working, whispering of the rich femoral artery pulsing deep beneath the surface of Paul’s tanned skin. “Only pleasure.”

                        “Okay, only—”

                        Laurent bit.
