Marithea becomes Red Bull Colombia’s first female champion

. Marithea became the first woman to win the Red Bull title of the Batalla de los Gallos Colombia, the only one to do so in the national final after the glorious break-up of the competition.

Marithea, aka Maribel Camilo Gómez, entered the modern history of competitive freestyle by succeeding MC Kim, the 2007 Venezuelan champion, as the only woman capable of lifting the Red Bull title, the first since the competition “stopped”.

Pope Francis begins his four-day tour of Hungary and Slovakia

Pope Francis arrived in Budapest today to celebrate the final Mass of the International Eucharistic Congress this Sunday and to meet with the leaders of the Central European country, followed by a three-day visit to Slovakia.

As the Vatican pointed out, this is not an official trip to Hungary but a “spiritual visit” on the occasion of the closing of the International Eucharistic Congress, which was held in the Hungarian capital.

Typhoon Conson was killed in the Philippines in 17

Philippine authorities increased this week to 17 deaths caused by the passing of Typhoon Conson, which is currently hitting the central region of Vietnam degraded in a strong tropical storm.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in the Philippines indicated today in its latest update that at least 7 people are listed as missing, while 24 have been injured by Conson.

Mexico exceeds 3.5 million covid-19 cases

Mexico topped 3.5 million accumulated covid-19 cases this Saturday, adding 12,511 infections in the last day, bringing a total of 3,506,743 amid a third wave of infections.

The Mexican Ministry of Health also reported 675 new deaths from covid-19, for a total of 267,524 deaths.

Holyfield loses to TKO in the first round against Belfort

Former world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield was defeated by former mixed martial arts (UFC) champion Vitor Belfort when he lost to TKO in the first round of the exhibition fight.

The fight took place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where Holyfield, 58, could not show the strength of his fists and the strength that characterized him at his best as a professional fighter.

A “detachment” of Mexican Zapatistas arrives from Europe after expanding its struggle

Squadron 421, a group of indigenous Mexican Zapatistas, returned to Mexican territory this Saturday after four months of spreading its message about fighting inequality in Europe.

Members of the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) arrived at Mexico City International Airport, where they made no statements to the media, but representatives of the National Congress of Indigenous Peoples (CNI) and the Council of Indigenous Governments (CIG) were already waiting for them.

Israeli police have arrested two more escaped Palestinian prisoners

Israeli police arrested two more Palestinian prisoners in northern Israel this morning who escaped from the Gilbo high-security prison last Monday.

Zakaria Zubeid and Mohamad al Arida, who were hiding in a truck parking lot in the northern Israeli city of Umm al Ghanem, were arrested, a police spokesman confirmed in a statement.
