April 2022 Newsletter and Contest!

Speaking of FB, I will be taking over a readers' group there on Monday, May 2nd. It's Bobbi Dumas' group, called The Romance of Reading, and she has authors hosting the site several times a week. It's a fun place to hang out with authors and maybe win something from the contests they do. December 2021 Contest and Newsletter!
Dear Readers,
I hope you are enjoying the holiday season! The other day, I received an unexpected and fabulous gift from my publisher, Kensington Books. They sent a box of Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) for the upcoming book WHEN A PRINCESS PROPOSES!! This story is my third book with Kensington, making it book 3 in their Embraced by Magic series. But for everyone who is enjoying the entire series, this will be Embraced number six. I know that seems confusing, but it's because the series has two different publishers. After publishing the first three books, St. Martin's Press decided to drop the series. Luckily for us, Kensington picked up the series and because of copyright issues, they had to slightly change the name of the series.
WHEN A PRINCESS PROPOSES jumps ahead twenty years to the next generation, so the heroine of the story is Princess Eviana, last seen as a three-year-old. Now she is 23 and ready for romance and adventure!! WHEN A PRINCESS PROPOSES releases April 26, 2022.
BUT we have those ARCs, so some lucky readers will get to read the story early. And that brings me to this month's contest on Facebook. In this season of giving thanks, I'd like to thank you all for the enthusiasm and support you have given my work over the years. My first published book came out in 2002, so I'm coming up on 20 years of survival in the publishing business, and much of that is thanks to you. That first published book was a historical romance, For Love or Country-- later republished as The Forbidden Lady. It wasn't till I discovered the wacky world of vampires that my career really took off. The Love at Stake series lasted for 16 books and two novellas. My most recent series, The Embraced, has five published books and a sixth one coming out in April 2022-- WHEN A PRINCESS PROPOSES. I'm currently working on Copyedits on When a Princess Proposes, book 6 of The Embraced. It jumps ahead twenty years into the future, so the heroine is Princess Eviana-- Leo's and Luciana's 23-year-old daughter.
I am really enjoying writing about the second generation of girls. Their moms (the original five sisters) were raised in a convent and believed they had been abandoned, so that left them a bit innocent and lacking in confidence, though still strong and brave. The daughters, though, have had the advantage of growing up with supportive parents, loving families, and the knowledge that they are princesses. So they are more confident and assertive. (And more challenging to the heroes, LOL)
WHEN A PRINCESS PROPOSES is available for pre-order and will releases at the end of April 2022.

If you're counting all the Embraced books, it will be Embraced #6. If you're counting the books published by Kensington (Embraced by Magic), it will be book #3. Why so confusing?
