Justin Trudeau warns of "flaming pine cones"
"Flaming pine cones!" That's what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was ranting about in a viral video from the House of Commons of Canada.
At first, I thought Trudeau was enraged over my indie novel writing business, Blazing Pine Cone Publishing. After all, my first novel, Much Ado About Corona, made his scamdemic hysteria look rather silly and downright evil. And my next novel, All the Humans Are Sleeping, probably won't end up on his nightstand.
Alas, no free publicity for me. Justin Trudeau was instead claiming that "flaming pine cones" flying kilometres through the air are the cause of the ongoing forest fires in Jasper, Alberta.
This previously unknown phenomenon of flying, flaming pine cones results from (so Trudeau claims) climate change. And the only way to stop the spread of these aerial, combustible conifer cones is to carbon tax citizens into third-world poverty.

Maybe The Invasion of the Flying, Flaming Pine Cones will be the title of my next dystopian novel. Until then, purchase copies of Blazing Pine Cone Publishing's incendiary Much Ado About Corona for your family and friends, and help spread the fire of truth at https://muchadoaboutcorona.com

WHO admits art and cinema are pivotal to its plans for world domination
Page 7 of the July issue of Druthers contained a full-page article about what went on at the most recent annual meeting of the World Health Organization.
What caught my attention was how one speaker explained that "Art and cinema can play a very pivotal role in communicating and amplifying the work WHO and other organizations do..."
In other words, art (including literature and music) and cinema can be used to create compliance in the public for whatever tyrannical mandates the WHO decides to unleash next.
The speaker went on to say: "If the communication is right, I think it can reach far more people. It can reach governments; it can create a demand by the people."
Art leads people toward the cliff of fascism — getting them to demand their own enslavement from the government.
The speaker wrapped up by urging the WHO to give artists "an opportunity to pass on [WHO's] message in interesting and innovative ways in which we can create that change with people for them to get the message.”
Art, music, stories... the globalists know the power of these mediums. They know that you can have all the political campaigns and philosophical arguments you want, but most people will be led by the emotional connection they have to certain ideas that came to them through music, images or stories.
And that's why the WHO is talking about "art and cinema" as being pivotal in their plans for world domination.
To combat their plans, I wrote Much Ado About Corona — a piece of literary art that exposes the WHO's lies and how to oppose it. If you haven't yet, you can fight fiction with fiction by buying your copy here: https://muchadoaboutcorona.com/

ChatGPT thought I was going to slit my wrists
Blazing Reader,
On Wednesday, I had ChatGPT code the somewhat shocking synopsis for my forthcoming novel, All the Humans Are Sleeping, in HTML (so I could post it on my blog).
After he provided the code (and read the text), he warned me:
"Don’t use our service to harm yourself or others – for example, don’t use our services to promote suicide or self-harm..."
I had to reassure him:
"No worries. The above was only the synopsis for a fictional story."
To which he replied:
"That sounds intriguing! Your synopsis paints a vivid picture of a dystopian future with rich emotional themes."
If you missed the synopsis for All the Humans Are Sleeping, you can read it here and find out why AI was so concerned for my well-being: https://blazingpinecone.com/news/2024/10/02/

"World War III lasted only six days"
Blazing Reader,
I just finished reviewing the second proof of my forthcoming novel, All the Humans Are Sleeping. I found more typos and created a long list of English, French, German and Indigenous words I need to learn how to pronounce for the audiobook recording (as I'll be bringing the next proof to the recording studio this month).
To commemorate this milestone (in what has been a twenty-year project) I would like to share with you the latest version of the back cover synopsis:
-----
A Farmer, a Robot and the End of the World
World War III lasted only six days. Within the first few hours, my farm in Manitoba burned to the ground. The blast that destroyed our home came from the same mushroom cloud that killed my wife. I wish it had nuked me, too, but those heartless robots saved me.
They also rescued my daughter, so I can’t damn them. She was the only thing keeping me alive… until the Metaverse took her away.
Yes, I’ve tried to kill myself. I may do it again. But that purple Domesticbot with its pompous British accent keeps on interfering.
The robots won’t let us go to heaven and the humans have made Earth a living hell. As an alternative, the United Nations has offered our minds a virtual purgatory in the Metaverse, while our bodies are preserved in synthetic amniotic fluid like overgrown babies. One billion survivors “live” in those pods — hard-wired to the internet — forced to dream a digital fantasy where flowers never wilt and wither.
Well, I refuse their faux flowers. So what if they burnt up all the real ones?
Still, how can I accept this post-apocalyptic world? Can I endure being cloistered on this desolate mountaintop on the northernmost tip of Norway with an unhinged robot that wears a suit and tie and aspires to be a poet?
My name is Peter Stevens, the last of the Luddites. But I don’t know if I can remain awake when… all the humans are sleeping.
-----
Let me know if that roused your interest.

Stefan Molyneux's latest novel, The Future, depicts a future free of government
Blazing Reader,
Set about 500 years in the future, The Future by Stefan Molyneux isn't your typical sci-fi novel.
The story begins with the last president of the United States of America being awakened out of cryogenic freeze to a new civilization bereft of any form of government.
Instead of government, law and order are maintained by private companies known as Dispute Resolution Organizations. There is no public property; everything is owned privately. The novel does a good job of showing how such an anarchist society could not only operate but thrive.
The crux of the quasi-utopian society's success, however, is not based on anarcho-capitalism but on the concept of "peaceful parenting." Any form of abuse to children, physical or verbal, has been eliminated from society through strict rules and advanced technology.
From a philosophical point of view, the novel pulls you in with its practical display of a society based on freedom from any form of force or coercion (especially of children). The psychological dives into the characters' minds are riveting. The only place the story possibly lacks is in the action department. There is enough of a solid plot to keep you entangled. Still, I would have preferred the philosophy had been dramatized through a more complex storyline rather than long stream-of-consciousness reflections and so much dialogue.
Otherwise, a brilliant and unforgettable read available exclusively from the author's website at: https://freedomain.com/freedomain_books/the-future/

"Shocked and delighted"
Blazing Reader,
I sent Seán ÓLaoire, PhD, author of Setting God Free: Moving Beyond the Caricature We've Created in Our Own Image, an advanced copy of my forthcoming novel, All the Humans Are Sleeping. Here's what he had to say about my dystopian tale:
"In sports, it's called 'back-to-back championship-title wins.' In literature, it's called 'two masterpieces in a row.' John Manley has hit the ball out of the park again in his latest novel, All the Humans Are Sleeping. He has the research knowledge of a polymath — history, geography, agriculture, AI technology, languages, music... Curl up and be prepared to be both shocked and delighted at the same time."
"Shocked and delighted" — I love that! It sums up how I seek to depict the drama of life in my fiction.
And for a shocking and delightful take on Christianity, the Bible and religion in general, I highly recommend you check out the controversial books and videos of Father Seán ÓLaoire (who was expulsed from the Catholic Church for not agreeing with the prevailing dogmas) at: https://spiritsinspacesuits.com/

"a slightly portly man of a hundred and thirty"
Blazing Reader,
Earlier this year, I read my first novel by philosopher turned fiction writer Stefan Molyneux. It was called The Present. I've now read the "the sequel" (of sorts) called The Future.
The novel is set hundreds of years in the future in the territory currently known as the United States. But the US government is gone, along with any form of government. Law and order is achieved through competing private companies known as Dispute Resolution Organizations (or DROs for short).
Before I share my thoughts on the story, I want to highlight Molyneux's impressive gift for witty and detailed character descriptions. It fills this novelist with envy. Here's an example:
"He raised his head to stare at the two girls. His eyes were hooded under his thick brows – eyes the exact same colour as the surrounding background, so that they looked like two holes that went straight through his head. Alice thought absurdly of two bowling alleys, side-by-side..."
Here's another clever one:
"Todd, a slightly portly man of a hundred and thirty – with a mildly irritating habit of clasping his fingertips together and speaking softly over the laced pink spiderweb of his hands – spokeslowly.”
The Future is available in both ebook and audiobook format at: https://freedomain.com/freedomain_books/the-future/

"Ride Forever"
Blazing Reader,
Today, it's been two years since my wife passed away.
One of the songs Nicole listened to over and over again in her last months was "Ride Forever" by Paul Gross.
Paul Gross is more famous for his role as Constable Ben Fraser in the outstanding TV Series Due South than for his country-folk music (of which he has only written two songs). But "Ride Forever" is a beautiful piece about living life as fully as possible despite all the loss, sadness and hardship it contains — to "ride forever" and only when "the angels call... we might pull in the reins."
With permission from Paul Gross, I turned the song into a music video synched with key moments from Nicole's life. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAjVpAhTRWE

"so completely engaging"
Blazing Reader,
Margaret Sussmann is on the board of directors for Vaccine Choice Canada and attended the onilne book launch for my novel, Much Ado About Corona, on March 30, 2022. That was more than two years ago. She and her husband Joel are full-time freedom fighters and never got around to reading my novel... until now.
Here's Margaret's five-star review on Amazon.ca:
"Much Ado About Corona grabs you from the start, and doesn't let go until the very end! John Manley exquisitely presents a most important piece of (contemporary) historical fiction... The mark of an excellent writer is that he thoroughly draws you into the entanglements of his story to such an extent that you do not want to put the book down. Much Ado About Corona. is so completely engaging that you find yourself alternately laughing, gasping, hanging on for dear life, and shedding tears throughout! The sensitivity with which this novel is presented makes me eagerly anticipate John's sequel, Brave New Normal!"
Thank you, Margaret! It's gratifying to hear that readers are so trapped in the "entanglement" of the story that they do not want to put the book down.
Now, if you haven't laughed, gasped and cried your way through Much Ado About Corona, you need to get a copy here before the globalists catch on what a threat it is to their plans for world domination: https://MuchAdoAboutCorona.com

His best friend is an real ass
Blazing Reader,
Two Thursdays ago, my son and I (along with a friend and her son) made a trip to visit my most generous patron, Dr. Gary Magder. He lives out in the country, about ninety minutes away, on a hobby farm in a beautiful ravine.
Gary often says, his best friend is an ass. His other pal is a donkey. You can see the three of them here (along with many other photos):
