Kim Shimmers and the Black Prophecy

Dark Waters
Monday
came and things seemed to be going back to normal. Fred and George were their
usual selves, and Kim even found out that Hagrid had returned from his trip
recruiting giants for the Order of the Phoenix. He seemed mostly his normal self
as well, aside from the large bruises and cuts all over his face and arms. She
supposed that wasn’t all that unusual for Hagrid, though.Fred
and Kim were walking alone together one evening, having left dinner without George
to get some alone time. Kim was reveling in how ordinary this felt. How, if she
allowed herself, she could go on believing it had always been this way, and
nothing had changed in the dynamic between the three of them.She
and Fred slowed to sit on a couch in a cozy section of hallway, Kim curling up
by his side for warmth. This slowly turned in to Fred kissing her lightly, and
that quickly devolved to the two of them, face buried in one another, arms and
legs entangled. Fred slid his hand up Kim’s thigh, passing the bottom of her
skirt and continuing up.

My questions:
1) What time of the day/night do you like to write?
Basically any time I can get to it. I tend to do it in the morning and at night, but any time really.
2) Do you eat or drink anything while you write?
Always coffee, sometimes chocolate.
3) What genre do you write?
Fantasy, sci-fi, YA/new adult as well as adult.
4) How long is your current WIP?
Which one? Lol The current thing that I’m just starting is 12,800. My TIGER stories which are complete but being edited are between 70-90k
5) Would you ever co-write?
Probably not, to be honest. Too much of a control freak. Maybe if it was a project I wasn’t super passionate about, or was someone else’s idea I helped with. But as far as my own ideas, they’re aaallll miiiiinnnne
6) What Hogwarts house would your protagonist(s) be in?
Funny hypothetical question. My not so hypothetical answer is Ravenclaw with a a (not so long) hidden propensity for Gryffindor. (as well as writing my own shit I also write HP fanfic)
7) How did writing change you?
I don’t know if I can say writing changed me. I’ve been telling stories to others and myself as long as I can remember, literally. When I learned how to type and write, I was able to get out all the stories that were trapped inside of me. So I would say the literal action of writing gave me… freedom.
8) Is writing more of a hobby or do you write with the intention of getting published?
My snobby answer is that if writing isn’t a hobby for you, you shouldn’t be trying to get published. If it’s not a love, do something else. My down-to-earth answer is that it’s more of a hobby/passion but I sometimes self publish and might one day send stuff off to see if a publisher wants to pick it up. I won’t be upset if they don’t, though. I write for me.
9) How do you cope with writer’s block?
When I’m not in the mood to write, I usually just don’t… I’m usually in the mood to write though. If I get blocked up on a specific story, I might re-read what I have to get re-invested, or I might take a break or table something for the future. Work on something else.
10) What are you planning to work on next?
After I finish my WIP? And my HP fanfic? And my TIGER story that I’m editing? Haha, After that I plan to work on something to release serially (like my fanfic, but original) and for free, either here on tumblr or on another sight that hosts that sort of thing.
