Hot Gossip from 1820: A Year of Royal Upheaval
This week I am still deep into writing my upcoming book: 55,208 words and counting! Book 2 of Inconvenient Bride is set in the year 1820, which means I have been pouring over research to find out what was happening in that illustrious year and how it would impact my characters.
Within the first few months of the year, King George III passed on, the Regent ascended to the throne, and as King George IV put Queen Caroline on trial. All of which would have influenced the peerage in countless ways, ...

My first audiobook is on the way ...
I am really excited to have just received my files for my upcoming audiobook release of The Captain's Wife which also means The Duke Wins a Bride is now in production. I have not set release dates for the audiobooks yet, but I will keep you updated.
I am very excited about the artist who is performing the narrations. Claire Glover is a working actress from Cape Town who is skilled with character voices and British accents. I listened to many audiobook narrators but the moment I heard her sample...

Richard Balfour is in for an explosive time ...
Writing my second full-length novel is an interesting experience for a couple of reasons.
I am now writing full time with deadlines, which is a different experience from working and writing simultaneously but with no deadlines looming.
Another aspect that is different is I have learned my lesson regarding what wastes my time, or puts me into a situation in which I might need to engage in significant re-writes. I have settled into a routine, developed habits and figured out how to avoid those d...

I took the opportunity to get deep into writing my second novel, To Redeem an Earl. If the preorders are any indication, many of you are excited to read about how on earth bad-boy Richard Balfour is going ...

How Debrett's Peerage of 1802 helped me write The Duke Wins a Bride
I am so excited to launch my first book as a fiction writer. For this story I drew on elements of my own, wonderful meet-cute. My husband is my personal hero and I could not have gotten this far without him. When I told him I wanted to return to fiction writing he was all about it. Didn't hesitate for a second.
Even after fifteen years of marriage I still get surprised how much he believes in me. One never grows accustomed to that kind of unwavering support.
