The Story of a Little Black Wonder

One afternoon Mark, aka Daddy to us kids, got a call from the dad in this household asking if we might be willing to give Midnight a new home because they realized they knew nothing about raising a cat. Of course, Daddy said yes, so she made the trip down to her new house in Mt. Sherman, Ky. Midnight became the second Black Beauty as Crazy Cat Sanctuary. After Sister, Dorothy, got together with Midnight a few days later she tells Sister she is keeping the name to honor the boys who helped her get to her now FUR-EVER home. After a few months, she also told Sister, who, by the way, is a cat whisperer. That she has a new goal in life. She wants her Mom, Jo Ann, Sister, Dorothy, and Daddy Mark to help her rescue Black Cats and Kittens.

The Story of A… Bobcat?

What's Big? Huge? Gigantic? And Grey and White? And Purrs? When first seen by a neighbor as it moved through the woods it was seen through a spotting scope. He thought it was a Bob Cat. Then another neighbor saw him on her back porch looking up at her as if asking for food.

A Little Bit of the British

One very big cat scoping out a place to call home. One very big cat checking out humans as he checks but a new place to call home. His name is Buck Rogers and a major player in the future of another cat. After checking and approving of the humans and location this big handsome Main Coon brings another smaller cat to check out a new home. This cat is dark gray, short hair. He is almost mistaken for a Russian Blue by the humans at the Sanctuary. Buck Rogers brought this gentleman in it was obvious he already told him this would be their new home.

Where There’s Smoke There’s Cat

Day two of the catch, but day one for daddy and sister. After looking over the situation and talking to the cats' Daddy sets out a little food and some treats and sits down on the deck to talk to the nervous cats. As he calms them down a couple come to him and talk to him.

The Story of a Viking

Agatha’s Story

This girl’s life at the Sanctuary all started on day two at the rescue the team, Mark and Dorothy, did in Meade County. They were out on-site when they counted not two, but three cats left to catch. When they left the day before they only had two now they have two plus one BIG CAT. She is almost too big for the biggest rescue trap we had. It’s a good thing she is very friendly and a fresh dump. Smokey who is the leader of the pride at the rescue site takes her in and when Mark and Dorothy show up he is sure to let them know about the new arrival.

It doesn’t take long to get friendly with her, and she lets Daddy pick her up and love on her. They make sure there are some food and water in the transport cage, and she gets in without a fight. They finish catching the last two and by mid-afternoon That second day they are on their way home and sit down with Sister, the cat whisperer, to discuss possible names. She says she wants a VIKING name and sister gets to work. A couple of days later they get back together and the name Agatta comes out. In the U.S. we say Agatha with that she is our BIG VIKING WARRIOR PRINCESS. To give you some idea of the size, she is bigger than a Maine Coon, but a bit smaller than a Rag Doll Cat.

Agatha is not much of a lap cat, but she loves her scratches behind the ears and on her back. If she can get Daddy to lay down on his back she loves to stretch out on his chest and stomach to get some of his special love. She has declared the Sanctuary her FUR-EVER home. The rule around here is the cat has the chance to seek adoption or choose to make the Sanctuary their FUR-EVER home. They tell the human, and she told Sister she is staying.
