A girl cloned from a famous woman who lived a thousand years ago struggles to live up to her DNA and find her place in an off-Earth academy in the thrilling science fiction novel: The View from Ganymede: Space Camp Book #1 by E. M. Leander. After her parents die in a wreck, Nora is admitted to a non-disclosed academy on Jupiter’s moon, Ganymede. Amazed that a compound exists off Earth, Nora also can’t believe they allowed her to go despite her abysmal grades. Nora is even more shocked when she arrives at the school and learns that she is one of two clones of a famous woman from the fourth century, Hypatia. The implications state that she should be excelling in mathematics and sciences, and that frightens Nora. In a twist of fate, while playing with her friends on the flight simulator, Nora discovers she can fly the ships exceptionally well. But the Admiral of Ganymede is not happy with her wanting to switch from her science track. Can Nora prove that she is more capable in a ship than in the lab?

Combining intrigue and teenage angst, The View from Ganymede: Space Camp Book #1 by E. M. Leander is a spectacular young adult science fiction novel. It is an incredible tale filled with suspense, intrigue, engaging protagonists, dramatic backdrops, and a riveting plot. Brilliantly written, the story world is fascinating and is an intriguing combination of fantasy and actual science. Although the story comes to an abrupt finish, it is a magnificent beginning for the first book in a series. Ending on a cliff-hanger, I can’t wait to find out what happens in the sequel. Flawlessly executed, it is a phenomenal book! It is a sensational young adult novel that will delight everyone who enjoys suspenseful adventures set in space.
