What does it mean to fight for love?

Jesse Holt and Camille Bloom come from two different worlds. Jesse is a country boy with a dark past and has sworn off women, while Camille is a New York heiress who believes in saving herself for 'the one'.
When an attempted murder bring them together, despite their own inner battles and doubts, they vow to fight for each other. But can they survive long enough to reap the seeds of love they sow?

There is psychological evidence that we subconsciously seek a partner who reminds us of what love meant when we learned it as a child. The School of Life calls it 'a template of attraction.'
Love is never simple, and there's just something about complicated men that fits with our deepest desire.
Case in point...
Johnny Cash and June Carter-Cash
Johnny Cash might've written the most compelling love letter, but he was a man who fought his inner demons all his life.
He once said: "Sometimes I am two people. Johnny is the nice one. Cash causes all the trouble. They fight."
Yet, he acknowledged his wife's love as the one thing that saved him and kept him going, and he made damn sure she knew it.
And what did June say about Johnny?
“He’s a very rare man, a very good man, and I've had a good life with him.”
The couple's marriage lasted thirty five years until June died.

Let’s be naughty and save Santa from the unnecessary trip
It's that time of year, lovelies.
I'm not the baking type so I can't really offer any Christmas cookie recipe. But I can share with you how 'naughty' I've been this year:
- Kept eating fried food even though my doctor had warned me of my cholesterol
- Started yoga and never followed through with it
- Browsed dating recommendations and decided that my book boyfriends were way hotter than them
I'm hoping that Santa didn’t pay extra attention to me this year. But one thing is sure, 2021 has been a humbling year for me.
Authors need readers. Without you, my awesome readers, there won't be me—and that's the most humbling of all.
So thank you, to the moon and back.
In the new year, my resolution is to write more, to let go of things I can't control, and to exercise more gratitude (which I sometimes forget when things get tough).
