Our friend Joey of Pride Journeys was just in Madison and felt the same way! Check out his impressions of spending time here ...

Vintage San Diego Stay at the Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club and Bungalows

I love when you can find a vintage spot when you’re traveling. The Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club and Bungalows in San Diego is SO VINTAGE. It’s a slice right out of old Hollywood times, but in SD. Built in 1946 it’s got the charm and style that became Bob Hope and Bing Crosby…

Realness here though: the common areas are great and well maintained, but some of the rooms need a lot of updates. If you want to stay at the Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club and Bungalows and you know what you’re signing up for...

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument: a St Augustine MUST SEE

Undoubtedly Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is THE sight to see in St Augustine. You can’t miss it as you drive through town and it’s one of the best things to do in the Ancient City. With construction on it starting 400+ years ago, the Castillo is the pride of the city and worth adding to your visit.

Before we ever visited Florida and before living here, we’d built it up a bit to our kids. You know, it’s all pirates and alligators everywhere. With that, we also told a few lies… like...

Why We Love Blogging Today: Growing a Portfolio of Websites

When we sold our house and moved across the country, our main goal was to be able to retire from corporate work and spend time together as a family as much as possible. Since we launched 2TravelDads in 2014 we’ve grown the blog from being a fun hobby to being an awesome job, and now we fully understand what that can mean for us. Growing a portfolio of websites has turned into a great pool of potential.

As we continue to grow our projects and business, we’ve learned that partnering with locals...
