John Green, Balloon Boy, and Our Need for Fame.
In an attempt at full disclosure, I am a Nerdfighter. I know for some of you (anyone? Bueller?) reading this that might not mean much. What it does mean is that I am a huge fan of John and Hank Green. I watch their Vlogbrother's videos on Youtube, listen to Hank's music, read John's books, and follow them on Twitter. And it was John's latest video, continuing his discussion on all things Balloon Boy and our society's deep seeded desire for fame, that inspired me to write this blog and...

That is, until now.

Interview with Becca Fitzpatrick, author of HUSH, HUSH
"For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide...

Ballad Trailer
So, not only is Maggie Stiefvater a pretty amazing writer, but she's apparently also a pretty good artist and muscian as well. I think this is one of the best book trailers I've seen yet.
Kicking off the ARC release for Ballad, Maggie has put together a pretty cool contest for the following prizes:
1) One advanced review copy of BALLAD, mailed immediately upon end of contest
2) One finished copy of BALLAD, mailed when I get my copies (September)
3) One OTHER finished copy of BALLAD, mailed when I
