Grimm Awakening ebook

Grimm Awakening, my novel about occult detective Jack Grimm, is available on Kindle for the first time.  Price is just $2.99.  To be clear, this is the full-length novel version of the story, not the much shorter version that appeared in chapbook format a decade ago.  Jack wakes up in a seedy motel room in Hell, and that's just the beginning of his troubles.  A Nook edition is forthcoming.  Before anyone asks, the only print edition of this novel is the limited hardcover from Thunderstorm Books.  Check www.thunderstormbooks.com for availability.  There may still be a few left of the Hard Rain edition.

Long-time readers may recall that Undaunted Press released a novelette version of Grimm Awakening as a chapbook nearly a decade ago.  That shorter version is long out of print and is hard to find.  This Thunderstorm release is the never before published full-length novel version.  Also, the original material has been revised.

Jack Grimm is a hard-drinking, chain-smoking, all around hard-living private investigator who specializes in crimes of a supernatural nature.  Shapeshifting hellhound Lucien joins his team as they travel from Hell to Las Vegas in a fight against evil that plays out against a background of glitz, gangsters, and gunfire.


In other news, Queen of Blood (the sequel to House of Blood) is now available in Kindle format.  Nook edition to follow in a few days.  This completes my quest to make all my old books available via Kindle.

Rockin' at The Late Night Horror Show

Wednesday 13 has been one of my favorite rock and rollers for about ten years now.  Former lead singer of both the Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 and the Murderdolls, Wednesday 13 has released several kickass albums as a solo act.  My favorite is his solo debut, Transylvania 90210, but his new release, The Dixie Dead, is right up there with it.  It rocks hard and is a lot of fun.  Check it out.



Last night my good friend Tod Clark attended a Wednesday 13 show in El Paso, TX.  After the show, he was able to meet Wednesday and pass along a signed copy of my new novel The Late Night Horror Show.  The picture above is from that event and was taken by Tod himself.  Pretty fucking cool, eh?

Soultaker on Kindle

My 2009 horror novel Soultaker is now available on Kindle for just $2.99.  It has also been uploaded to bn.com for the Nook and should be available there within the next day or so.

This leaves Queen of Blood as the last of my old Leisure Books titles still not on Kindle, but that one is in the works as well and should hopefully be available in the next week or so.

Kayla Undead

Kayla Undead, the first sequel to Kayla and the Devil, is now available for Kindle download.  Darker and a bit gorier than the first Kayla book, this second installment should appeal equally to fans of horror and urban/paranormal fantasy.  A Nook edition will follow in the next week or so.

My most recent full-length horror novel (Kayla and the Devil being something of a genre hybrid and not precisely  horror) is now available for Kindle download for the first time since rights reverted to me at the end of last year.  I'll note again that I saw not a single penny from Dorchester/Leisure's digital sales of this title.  Do with that what you will.

This leaves three more of my old Leisure titles still not available in digital--Soultaker, Deathbringer, and Queen of Blood.  I hope to get at least one more of those out before the end of the year, maybe more.

I am currently at the 43,000+ word mark of Kayla and the Vampires.  I still hope to have this Kayla and the Devil sequel available in digital formats by the end of the year.

The Freakshow now on Kindle

The process of making all my old Leisure/Dorchester novels available in digital editions continues with the arrival of THE FREAKSHOW on Kindle.  A Nook edition will follow in about a week.

I am at the halfway mark of completing this task.  HOUSE OF BLOOD, DEPRAVED, and THE KILLING KIND are also currently available for Kindle download.  Still to come are THE DARK ONES, DEATHBRINGER, SOULTAKER, and QUEEN OF BLOOD.
