The process of forgiveness

Hello all. Jewels of my Heart is a story of forgiveness and love. As I wrote it, I thought long and hard about the process of forgiveness. It is easy for me to do, but I realize it is hard for others. So, I want to try and tackle that subject.

It is easy for me because of my Faith. I know that there is no perfect man and we all make mistakes. I know that my forgiveness does not require me to stay in any unhealthy relationship. I can forgive, move on, and move forward with my life. One of my favorite things to say is, "Life goes on", and it does. It moves forward with or without your forgiveness. Not forgiving will hurt you, not them.

If you struggle with forgiving you should try seeing the positive in your life. Ask yourself, how has not forgiving someone helped me? How has it hindered me? If it hindered you at all it is to expensive for your life's budget.
Revisit it.
Analyze it.
Pray about it.
Pray about it.
Do not expect them to change or apologize.
Forgive it.
Move on from it.
Live your happy life.

Forever My Jewels

Excerpt:
💝Forever💝My💝Jewels💝

...Tony shakes his head, looks at Kellie, but says nothing. Then a song comes on, which leads Brandon and Kellie to the dance floor. As they dance, Jewels says to Tony,
“Baby, I will be back. I have to use the restroom.”
He looks at her and says, “Baby, you know I am coming with you.”
“I am good, I need you to stay here and watch our things.”
“Okay baby. It is a lot going on out there, stay alert.”
She kisses him and says, “I will.”
He watches her as she walks away, until she disappears from his sight. Not long after, a few women walks up to him and asks, “How long have you two been married?”
“A year and a half”, Tony says while looking at them with a straight face.
“She is a lucky lady, I hope to find a man to look at me the way you look at her”, one of the women says.
Shaking his head with laughter, he responds, “Naw, I am the lucky one. I found her and wake up every morning smiling holding her in my arms.”
Kellie sees the women talking to Tony and walks over there. One of the women then asks, “Do you have a single brother?”
Kellie interrupts as she clears her throat and says, “No, he is the only child, but he does have a wife.”
The same woman says, “We know.”
Tilting her head, Kellie responds, “Well, y'all need to get out of his face---." As Kellie continues to talk to the ladies, Tony checks the time smiling, thinking, “Dang, I have never been happy to see Kellie before, but I am happy she came over”, he continues to look at his cell phone and sees nearly fifteen minutes have passed and Jewels is not back. He grabs their things and walks towards the restrooms.
Meanwhile, Jewels exits the restroom and sees someone standing on the wall waiting. She avoids eye contact, but as soon as she exits the person says, “Hey beautiful.”
Recognizing the voice, Jewels freezes and he walks up to her and asks, “You are not going to speak to me Jewels?”
Trying to walk away, he steps in front of her and says, “Jewels why don’t you want to talk to me?”
In an angered voice, she responds, “We have nothing to talk about Jesse, now move out of my way.”
“Jewels, yes we do. You just left me. You never told me why. You just said it was over, through a phone call. You even blocked me. Don’t you think I deserve closure? Why did you leave me? My daughter still asks about you.”
“It just did not work out, now move. And tell her I am fine and hello for me, now move!”
Not moving, but still wanting answers, he asks, “Why? What went wrong? I thought we were happy.”
Looking a little scared, she asks, “Are you following me? How did you know I was here?”
“No, I am not following you. We are at the same wedding. The groom invited me and I saw you walk in, with your ex by the way. Are you two back together? Is he why you left me? Where you cheating on me?”
“Jesse, you know I am not a cheater. Were you? You know what, I do not care, now move.”
She tries to walk pass him, but he holds her to stop her. As she struggles away, he sees her wedding ring and says, “Jewels, you are married? We have been broken up a little over a year and you are married. You wouldn’t even move in my home, but you are now married.”
Ignoring his statements, she begins to raise her voice and says, “Let me go”, repeatedly.
As Tony walks to the restrooms he notices there are three different events going on at this beach front hotel. There seems to be a birthday party, a bachelor’s party, and a retirement party. There is a lot of noise, from music and chatter, along with the smell of an array of foods. Ranging from Soul Food, Chinese, and Mexican. As he gets closer to the restrooms he hears voices coming from that direction, but cannot quite make it out because of all the music playing. He begins to listen closer and picks up speed. He finally realizes he hears Jewels saying, “Let me go.” Once he hears this he takes off running to the restrooms. Running down the hall he sees a man holding someone and knows it is Jewels from the voice.
He finally makes it to them, grabs the man holding Jewels, forcefully throws him to the ground while placing Jewels behind him and staring down at the man. He quickly recognizes the man and says, “Jesse what the hell is wrong with you? Don’t you ever touch my wife again! Do you hear me Jesse, don’t you ever touch my baby again!”
While still looking at Jesse, he asks Jewels, “Are you okay baby?”
Holding his blazer tightly, she says, “Yea baby. Lets go, I just want to leave.”
He takes her hand and they walk pass Jesse. Still watching him the whole time, Tony sees him stand and hears him shout, “I’m sorry Jewels.”
