Terra Form: a New Painting
This new painting is a small piece on paper, 8”x8”. It’s hard to capture the glow of fluorescent colors, but this is pretty close. The color is very close; the glow of the fluorescent paint is a bit absent. I’ve really enjoyed working with these hot colors lately. They make me happy.

Inner Algorithm: A New Painting
This new piece, Inner Algorithm, which is a companion to Becoming Less Real, makes me happy. Fluorescent paint. Rollers, brushes, pencils, spray. Wondering where to begin; understanding when to stop.

The Buckham Gallery Fundraiser Event
The annual fundraiser event at Buckham Gallery, in downtown Flint, Michigan, was really nice. There was so much work! And what a great turn out—the place was packed.
If you have never checked out the exhibitions at Buckham, then you really should. Michelle and Katie and company are really bringing super strong shows to the downtown Flint art scene.
I really enjoyed seeing these three reds on a wall. Up until now, I don’t think I have had an opportunity to show these paintings.
They are available in the shop. Content link below.

Your Silent Face, the Novel, Enters the Flint Public Library
The book reading and discussion at the Flint Public Library was a blast. I had a great time. The newly renovated library is gorgeous. And now Your Silent Face is part of the library’s fiction catalog. I am thrilled about that. So check it out—pun intended!

A Fluorescent Flow: Reaching for an Abstract Painting
I have been reading about being in the flow. It’s a state of mind. You can check it out if you are interested. I’ve also been looking at a lot of abstract paintings. It is definitely not my strength, but I have wanted to try to paint a series of abstract paintings for some time. I decided to buy some fluorescent colors and go for it. For this piece, I wound up falling back on some of my prior imagery. I am hoping this piece is a gateway to a pure abstract painting.
