Born in LaVeta Colorado and still a mountain boy at heart, though living in the flatlands. Taught American Literature at the University of Kansas for many years, retired and discovered my true calling -- writing darkly comic mysteries. Father of two, grandfather of nine, great-grandfather of one, all of whom keep life surprising, interesting, and sometimes dumbfounding.
