Thank you so much for being a guest on my blog today, Morwenna!

What is the first story you remember telling (not necessarily writing)?

The first story I remember telling? What a thing to have forgotten! I always wrote, read and listened, being very introverted as a child, so unless it was for a school project or similar, I k...

Interview with Alison Knight

Hello, hello! On this fine November day, I have the pleasure to share an interview with author Alison Knight.

Thank you, Alison, for visiting with me again! You have been busy since the last time. Two more books out for a total of three books published by Darkstroke Books. Yay! Do you have a favorite (character) (and, if so, which one)?

My favourite human character is Jack in Mine. He is based on my beloved Dad. Writing Jack brought back so many lovely memories of my father, making me laugh and ...

Let's give a warm welcome to Natalie, eh?

You have one book published and the sequel coming out December 29th. Yay! Do you have a favorite (character) (and, if so, which one)?

It’s hard to pick ONE favorite character. My cast is so fun, but I’ll say Bram. He’s one of the two main POV characters, and for ...

Interview with an Author - Joseph Goodglass

Hey all! Welcome to another "Interview with An Author." And of course, a Happiest Halloween!

Today I have the privilege to interview Joseph Goodglass, author of The Barrens. So, Joe, what is the first story you remember telling (not necessarily writing)?

The first story I ever recall telling was the time I found a portal to another dimension in my backyard. I was four years old and already my imagination was running wild.

Are you sure it was your imagination?

You have a book published. Yay! Do ...

Interview with Author Angela Fish

Happy Day, everyone! Back again with another fabulous interview, this time with author Angela Fish. A fellow Darkstroke author, Angela has also published multiple children's books.

So happy to get to know you more, Angela!

What is the first story you remember telling (not necessarily writing)?

The first story I remember telling was to my cat! I was probably about five or six years old and, while I don’t remember all of the details, I do know that it was about a very clever, but homeless, cat who ...

Interview with Jessica Thompson

I had the opportunity to meet up with Jessica last summer in the Texas heat. We had a wonderful visit, looked at some longhorns, and shot targets beneath a July sun. Later in the evening, we watched the bats emerge from their bridge dwellings. BATS! (It was awesome!)

So, I convinced her to do an interview with yours truly. ;)

Jessica, you already have one book published. Yay! Do you have a favorite character (and, if so, which one)?

I think my favorite character is Jake, Violet’s husband. He’s ...

An Interview With Niki Kamerzell

Time for another author spotlight and interview.

Welcome, Niki Kamerzell, author of The Last Time She Died. So glad to learn more about you!

What is the first story you remember telling (not necessarily writing)?

A few friends of mine used to have this notebook and we would just write a constant stream of randomness in it. I think we ended up having like 3 or 4 of them. They weren’t really ‘stories’ because we didn’t write much in seriousness. It was always like “how can this get more ridiculou...

Drum roll, please - Introducing E. J. Wenstrom!

Thank you, Ms. Wenstrom, for joining me today and answering a few silly questions. We'll then get down to the nitty-gritty.

What is your favorite activity to do in the summer? Winter?

In summer I'm all about the beach! I love to be in the sunshine and by the water. After spending about six years in Michigan, any love I may have had for winter is now gone. I've paid my dues on winter forever, I think.

What led you to start writing novels?

I was looking for a creative challenge, I think part of me ...

Karen Moore and her new book, Release

Thanks so much, Sarah, for inviting me onto your blog to talk about my new book, Release, which is out today, August 31, 2021.

It seems incredible that I now have two books published from what started out as no more than a hobby. Well, that’s not strictly true.

I started writing when I was young, thanks to a vivid imagination fuelled by my father’s tales of his travels in the Merchant Navy and by all the adventure stories I read. Make-believe always seemed so much more magical than reality. Y...

Author Interview ... Ashley Meggitt

I am pleased to introduce Ashley Meggit, bestselling author of The Dark Chorus.

Let's get to know this fantastic author, shall we?

What is the first story you remember telling (not necessarily writing)?

I suppose it would have been when I was school-aged – maybe 14(?). Back in the day when you sent actual letters, I wrote and sent a series of related short stories to a friend over one summer. They were called ‘There I was and suddenly ..." All a bit surreal but I remember really enjoying writin...
