Diego Jacinto Agustín Barros Arana (Santiago, 16 de agosto de 1830 - 4 de noviembre de 1907) fue un pedagogo, diplomático e historiador chileno, considerado uno de los intelectuales liberales más importantes del siglo XIX. Su obra cumbre fue la monumental Historia General de Chile.
