Huzzah! (Quantum 6) [GURPS 4e]
Oh, the things I’ll do instead of actual work! Although I’ve wanted to finish this damned thing for a decade.
Huzzah-Quantum-6-Google-DocsDownloadThe DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES featurette.
It’s got a few new scenes from DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES, and the usual blah blah blah this movie is the epitome of Western civilization PR nonsense. It’s the new clips I care about, though. Apparently the party has a paladin in it! Hope the movie explores the concept of ‘PC immunity*:’ as some wag online noted, they certainly got down the concept of ‘having to delay actual gametime for months because of scheduling conflicts.’
I joke, I joke. I’m absolutely going to go see this movie, as soon as it comes out. My wife and I are looking forward to it.

*Basically: the paladin doesn’t ask the assassin where he’s going, and the assassin doesn’t make the paladin have to explain away all those dead bodies.

Sepoys [GURPS Infinite Worlds]
A little something I worked on a decade ago, and decided to finally turn into something usable. It was going to be the core of an article for Pyramid… ach, well. Such is life.
Sepoys-70_90_135-Google-DocsDownloadMy ultimately misinformed (if not particularly incorrect) reaction to TEEN WOLF: THE MOVIE.
Come, I will conceal nothing from you: when I saw this, I rolled my eyes. Yea, verily: another dark and gritty reboot of a silly franchise. But I read up on the TEEN WOLF movie, and discovered that it’s a dark and gritty movie that’s tied to the dark and gritty TV series (which was the actual reboot) that I somehow missed coming out, all these years ago. Which does maybe change things a little, right? After all, that show was on for six seasons. Clearly people liked it. They have as much right to be pandered to as I do.
Then I actually watched the trailer.
…Yeah, the point on pandering stands, but I think I’ll be skipping this one.
Amazingly, THE FLASH movie still on schedule for June 2023.
I’m legitimately impressed with Warner Bros emergency movie star control program: “Just over six months before its release, DC’s The Flash movie has had its release date moved up by Warner Bros. Originally set to release in theaters on June 23, 2023, The Flash will now debut theatrically on June 16, 2023.” I dunno what they did to put Ezra Miller’s scheduled spiral into the Outer Darkness on hold, but it seems to have worked. Nobody’s really seen or even heard from Miller in months. I wouldn’t be surprised if sensory deprivation tanks were involved.

PS: Yeah, I figure I’ll end up seeing it. Miller’s crazy, but it’s a DC movie. The Justice League were the superheroes of my youth, and the movie itself is supposed to be good.
Got my @HPLHS Eldritch Elf from @MariahLStudios!
It’s very cool. An Elder Thing from Mountains of Madness, and a burned-wood Solstice ornament that goes up on the tree (once I get around to putting the tree up). You can find more of Mariah’s stuff at MariahLStudios.com. Check her out!

PS: I will admit: all I did was get my Eldritch Elf a set of four tentacle pint glasses from the HPLHS Store. I mean, I don’t regret doing it: something like that is firmly in the ‘I want some, but I’m never gonna buy them for myself,’ category, and that’s a solid gift-giving category. But it ain’t original art.
