HAPPY THANKSGIVING – ALL THE SALES
For all of my American friends, Happy Thanksgiving!
This year, I’m celebrating with my hubby and pup over at our good friends house here in Seattle. My husband is Irish (as many of you know) so Thanksgiving is kind of a “bonus” holiday for him. My own family live across the country, so generally we wing it for turkey day.
What do you like to do for Thanksgiving?
GRATITUDEI’m so grateful for all of you. I know there are lots of authors who write amazing books. It makes me so happy that you are part of my community.
This year, I’ve been at several book signing events where I’ve met so many of you in person. It’s so much fun for me to interact in person.
For those of you who haven’t made it out, I’m also grateful that you are here. Reading stories. Hanging out with me on social media.

Sun streams through the filmy blinds when I wake up.
My mouth is incredibly dry. I reach for my bottle of pineapple Hint water on the nightstand. Drink what’s left and set the empty down. A couple of yawns later, I pat the bed next to me.
Empty.
It’s a devastating pattern. Missing time with my husband. My family. Then again, my work schedule is mostly to blame. The past couple of weeks, I’ve crawled into bed hours after Connor and he’s up long before me to take care of the boys.
I pad across the plush carpet to the bathroom. Pee. Pull on joggers and my favorite old LTZ sweatshirt and head down the hallway. I hear little giggles and Connor’s deep voice coming from the nursery. I lean against the doorway and watch for a minute. My husband is beaming at Torin and Tristan, who are standing on their own. Assisted by the denim sofa they both cling to in order to keep themselves upright.
“Wow, they’re both standing.” I cross the room to sit next to Connor, who’s freshly showered and dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. My boys squeal when they see me and fling themselves into my arms. I smother them with snuggles and kisses.
He pulls me and the boys to him. “Morning, love. I let you sleep in; it seemed like you needed it.”
Tristan plops himself in my lap. Mama’s boy through and through. I smooth his reddish-brown wisps around his ears. “They’re at such a critical age. I feel like I miss something every day.”
“It’s temporary. I’m happy to step up,” he reassures me. I know he’s trying to be supportive, but it doesn’t make me feel any better.
Connor plucks Torin up and sets him next to his brother. Then stands and strides to the door. “Why don’t you spend some quality time with them this morning? I’ll go check to see if Yolanda has their breakfast ready.”
“Stay.” It comes out shriller than I’d intended.
He stops and turns. “Okay.” He closes the door behind him, pads back over and crouches so he’s at my level. “What’s up?”
“Nothing. I just miss my family. And my life’s about to get busier.” I kiss the tops of my boys’ heads.
Connor drops to the ground opposite me and encloses us all with his long legs. “You’ve worked ridiculously hard to get here. Once you see these projects through, they’ll be plenty of time to reassess. All of this was in motion before you got pregnant.”

KAYLENE IN THE WILD: VEGAS EDITION
I’m coming to you this week from Las Vegas Nevada where I’m attending a book conference called 20Books to 50K. There are over 1000 writers here and about 7 seminars going on at any given time. We are learning about everything from book marketing to advertising to writing newsletters.
Shhhh. I’m actually writing this newsletter in the newsletter seminar. I’m a rebel, what can I say!
It’s been a wonderful week of networking and meeting some of the people who are so integral to how I put out my books. From Quinn Ward of Amazon Ad School to Dave Chesson of Atticus (how I write my books) to the folks at Findaway Voices who distribute my audiobooks, it’s just a who’s who of self-publishing. I’m learning so much.
What’s been most fun is reconnecting with author friends from all over the country. We’ve had so much fun making TikTok videos, eating fabulous dinners and generally just goofing off during our down time.
It’s the perfect place to get jazzed for my release day of Fearless Encore!

Last April, I was at the amazing TalkBooks author signing event in Boston and I met Piper and Jack Davenport. We all hit it off immediately. Piper and Jack came to Seattle for Readers Writers Seattle in July and afterward joined me at my house for a fun party. Let’s just say that Piper had the most AMAZING reaction when one of my guests walked in.
Piper is such a great mentor and friend. She’s much farther along in her author journey than me, so it means the world to me that she’s taken me under her wing a bit.

COUNTDOWN TO FEARLESS ENCORE
FEARLESS EXCERPTMany hellos to all of you, my dear readers!!! We are down to just a few weeks before FEARLESS Encore is released. Just to whet your appetite, I thought I’d give you a “wee” teaser, as Connor would say. Without further delay… here is a bit of the prologue:
Life is for living. It’s Da’s favorite saying, so it is. Life. Is. For. Living. What the actual feck does that even mean?
I’ve been giving this too much thought, truth be told. In many ways, it feels like I’ve been barreling through my entire adult life. Ever since Da’s accident when I was in high school. I can’t even feckin’ remember a time when I’ve not been in high gear.
Keeping the family business afloat when I was just seventeen. Sacrificing my own dreams to make certain my brothers made it through college. Finally being able to pursue my music career, only to be launched into the stratosphere of fame and fortune a couple of years later.
And, of course, then I met Ronni. Ah, my Ronni. Fierce. Beautiful. Sweet. Strong. Independent. And sweet baby Jaysus. Complicated. So feckin’ complicated.
It’s not a criticism. It’s an observation. My woman never shies away from a challenge. Nothing stands in her way. She’s fiercely protective of those she’s loyal to. Willing to give two thousand percent. Which is feckin’ admirable. It’s just that…
Bollocks.
I’m tired. Tired of the hamster wheel. Tired of chasing some sort of elusive dream. Tired of always being on edge. Tired of drama with my band. Tired of being a rockstar. Mostly, I’m tired of being media fodder. It’s too much.
I’m exhausted trying to protect my family. So, so weary. All. The. Feckin’. Time. So bleedin’ spent. So spent, I’ve wholly succumbed to my anger. My sorrow. Ronni and I are through.
THROUGH???? OMG. Are you dying to know what happened to get this beautiful couple to this point? Will they find their HEA?

LOVE IS IN THE FALL AIR
October is one of my favorite months in Seattle. Many of my scenes in Less Than Zero are in October, it’s probably one of the most beautiful times to visit the Pacific Northwest. This year, my sister-in-law was in town from Ireland, and even she was commenting on how gorgeous the city is. Just some food-for-thought if you ever want to visit.
AUTHORS IN THE BLUEGRASS/READERS TAKE DENVER
As for me? Well, I started the month off in Kentucky at Authors in the Bluegrass. Here are some fun pictures from the event.
Enrico Ravenna (aka Zane from Timeless) joined me to sign books and swag and take pictures with all of the readers. It was fun hanging out with my new BFF Mari Carr. I also was able to meet CJ Bloom, my “Alex” narrator in the LIMITLESS/LIMITLESS ENCORE audiobooks. My PR team, Next Step PR put on a FANTASTIC event. I cannot wait to go back in 2024.
My next event is READERS TAKE DENVER March 30/April 1 – here is a link to buy tickets. It’s looking to be a HUGE event with so many amazing authors. I’m already planning on fangirling a bit myself.

EARLY FALL UPDATE
Hello my friends! It’s been a minute since I checked in with you. This year has been a whirlwind of birthday celebrations, travel, being hard at work in my lawyer job and writing, writing, writing.
Part of why I’m a little behind on newsletters is I’m in the middle of writing Fearless Encore. It’s another deep dive into the world of celebrity – and I can promise some ripped-from-the headlines craziness for Ronni and Connor. As you have learned from the first two Encores, happily ever after can mean so many things, and for Connor and Ronni they have a few storms to navigate.

LIMITLESS ENCORE IS LIVE!
Well, I’ll tell you – I’m so excited for you to read this installment of Jace and Alex’s love story. To say I love this couple is an understatement – they are EVERYTHING! Alex is so fiercely independent. Jace is so laid back and chill. It was so fun delving more into their family life.
On the other hand, their story deals with a very serious and devastating health issue. I mention this in my back matter, but I had planned on an extremely different journey for them. When I started to write the book, it just wasn’t happening. Undeterred, I still tried to cram in the story arc that I’d planned, but Jace and –especially Alex—steered me in an entirely different direction.
The result? All of the sexy, steamy fun of LIMITLESS that you have loved. That’s a given with these two.
They also have to face some relationship obstacles together. In the face of all of the LTZ turmoil that was unleashed in ENDLESS ENCORE. I hope you find this to be a compelling story.. after all happily ever after can mean so many things!
I’m super excited about my SECOND live book event coming right up right here in my hometown of Seattle! The one and only Enrico Ravenna will be joining me to sign stuff and hang out to visit with you!! For all of you northwest fans, this will be an amazing event!

ONE WEEK UNTIL LIMITLESS ENCORE!
I’m so excited for you to read this story. After some of the setbacks women have faced over the past couple of weeks, this book is pretty timely (and completely unplanned).
