Best wishes most of all to his wife, and also to the...

Porchlight SF + Six Organs of Admittance West Coast tour!
I will be doing a "reading" for Porchlight Storytelling series in San Francisco on Monday, September 21st at 8pm. This is not an actual reading but live storytelling w/out books/notes and mine just might include DANZIG, Pornography, an obscure hessian, and a 1969 Chevrolet Impala!
More info at: http://www.porchlightsf.com/thismonth.html
ALSO I just returned from the West Coast Six Organs of Admittance tour which was incredible fun. This wasn't a Mattson/S.O. tour (that's to come in 2010!), but ...

From our friends at Akashic Books and Book Soup:
Joseph Mattson reading at Book Soup, 7pm, Thursday, July 16th - Author John O'Brien sadly committed suicide two weeks after hearing that his first novel, Leaving Las Vegas, was being made into a film.
